i was gifted two large beautiful poinsettias last year. I'm glad I was too busy to throw them out. i was able to see these results. thank you for sharing this video.
Thank you for this video i think you are the only video who doesnt chop them all the way down...I didnt want to chop it so I like your method much better
I.have 2 plants that I "rescued" in early January from my church, I am a very lackluster gardener but always hope for the best. 1 of the plants I transplanted to a slightly bigger pot while the other was just re-potted with newer soil. It is now 4 months since I got them and 1 is doing quite well while the other is struggling. With any luck, both will make it to next Christmas. This video has been a help, thank you.
My 2 out of 3 poinsettias died... I tried to prune like you did, but that couldn't be of any help to my plants... Truly Sensitive plant to handle... 😒. One of them is slowly blooming, I'm trying not to disturb the roots or soil, just watering and giving indirect sunlight, meanwhile in between I add egg shells for calcium. Hope it survives...
Good info video 👍. My 2 yrs plant is planted in the ground. Grew very well till Feb this year. But now in April it suddenly started to wither. I water them daily in evening as it receives full sun for 4-5 hrs. Please suggest me what can I do to save the plant.
I have a 15 year old poinsettia which I'm trying to grow into a tree . It is outside all summer May until late September and is quite bushy I think it should be trimmed down but am not really sure how this is done.
Just cut it from the button keeping 1 feet stems. The new groth will occur from the side of the branch. Good luck. Please share the images in Facebook Learnagro group. Thanks
I got an old one last year and it was beautiful during the summer like a huge bush, then in the fall I brought indoors as not to freeze then it all died and was bare what did I do wrong..?
So it’s summer here in India. Temperature touching 38•. My poinsettia has started to drop leaves, leaves are crunchy to the touch. Basically just the stem is left now. Is it expected? Or is this due to underwatering?
I rescued a dying poinsetta that someone was going to turn into compost. But I think I cut the branches too low... If I cut too low, can new leaves still grow out?
Are the branches hollow? Did you guys move to another location? I don't remember you having a parking lot outside your house, I remember a nice yard. I hope you two are well and everything is going great for you.
Yes Bush the branches are hollow inside. If you cut them a white sap also comes out which is itchy. We did moved to our new house. Things are under control so far. Couldn’t able to give much time to RU-vid. Trying my best. Thank you for asking. How is everything with you and your family Bush?
