Everybody's body is different and our recovery is as well. She had three kids already, so of course her pain was tolerable. I am 2 weeks post op.I even stayed overnight at the hospital. And still in pain and fatigue. Listen to your own body ladies. God created us all different when it comes to healing.
By all means people, this is NOT a simple surgery!!!! I hate when people start off saying stuff like this! They are removing a organ out of your body ladies. All surgeries have risks, everyone is different & not all people can get robotic or laparoscopy surgery. Most importantly, know that not everyone's experience with any surgery is all bad. There's plenty of positive ones too. It would be nice if everyone can have a easy, fast, back to life in 2hrs after a major surgery, but that's not real world folks. Not at all. Sure, no one wants to be out of work or in bed healing for long periods of time, BUT it's possible. It all depends on many factors and YOUR body. PLEASE people, take videos like this with a grain of salt!!!! Not to say her recovery or surgery experience isn't true, but than again who knows?? I mean she is sitting with her doctor, telling this story...so yeah. Don't let this video or similar videos gas you up thinking this is a walk in the park type of thing. Do your own research & be an advocate for your health. Seek professional advice from a highly trained physician who listens to you. Maybe even get a second, third, or however many opinions before making a life-changing decision like this. Make sure you're comfortable with your doctor & whatever course of action you BOTH agree on about YOUR health & surgery. From there, pray, believe, & focus on a positive outcome & know you made the best decision for your life. God bless
Thank you , thank you , thank you ❤ ! My husband and I were just talking about all of these minutes ago I'm having this surgery next week but we are both very concerned and we have a lot of questions ( I can't discuss here in detail ) the "nurses" the surgeon send us to deal with are NOT HELPFUL AT ALL and minimize everything , when I KNOW , it's not true what they are saying ... Just many , many things that I just feel uneasy about 😓 May GOD Bless You !
This woman is telling the truth! I'm in my 70's. I had a robotic assisted total hysterectomy on June 12th. I spent one night in the hospital only because I live alone. It's day 7 now. I had very little pain. I've been doing a lot of work on the internet to keep me busy. I'm not lifting anything heavier than 5 lbs and won't for the next 4-6 weeks. I feel great.
I just had my robotic surgery went home same day. I was able to slowly walk around the second day . I’ve only taken the Motrin. Every day it’s a little better but yes the pain is real. Listen to your body.
Thank you both for this video! I am having a laparoscopic hysterectomy coming up on January 7th. My biggest concern is waking up in excruciating pain 😬 I've never had surgery not once in my life and I'm scared
Mrs. Jack of all trades: thanks for being a subscriber. You can request an On-Q pain pump for your surgery. My patient have done extremely well with this therapy in regard to having minimal postoperative pain
Don’t go by what the woman on this video says. She must be a robot. It is irresponsible for this video to put it like this. Are they trying to sell their own surgery?
This is so how I want to go about my upcoming hysterectomy. I’m a full time carer for my adult sons who are both disabled. I need to be recovering as quick as I can. Thank you for sharing
I had surgery last 23 days ago but I walk after one day of surgery and discharged after a day of surgery. I drove my car after one day of surgery . Thanks God my recovery is so fast.
I had my hysterectomy in 2006 due to endometriosis it was a nightmare. They where unsure how big of a surgery it was going to be and they did warn me about that . They had to wake me up to ask me about what to do, I was apparently in so much pain they where unable to control it and didn’t know what to do. Then after I find out they took out everything! Which was not the plan going in. Apparently the endometriosis was far more severe than they anticipated and it had gotten on my nerves and things. Healing took a long time. No regrets though. I was in so much pain every single month it was awful. Now I’m noticing I’m having some bowl issues that where similar but not nearly as bad as then.
This video is not helpful at all!!! I just had a laparoscopic hysterectomy 13 days ago and I'm still having pain. This lady is sugar coating everything. Don't listen to Michelle
I am having a partial laproscopic at the end of March because of my ongoing anemia that they are still trying to figure out. I use a manual wheelchair so I think it will be a little bit easier for me to get around. I stay pretty busy so I think people that know me have to strap me down. 😅
