Dr Christi Pramudji, double Board-Certified in Urology/Urogynecology, explains what you can expect when you have a urology/urogynecology appointment. #christimd #urology
The doctor they referred me to is insisting that I be catheterized for the urine sample, and I do not feel that is necessary. I am going for kidney stones, so I dont see the need for that.
Thank you for this video. I would definitely make an appointment with you if I lived nearby. Do you have any contacts in central Ohio that would be as comprehensive as your practice?
Hi Dr. Christi, My MRI prostate report shows that my Transition zone has PI-RADS 5 and the Peripheral zone has PI-RADS 2. Should I go for a biopsy as I am 69 years and 1 month old now! Am I suitable for the biopsy at this age too?? Please advice🙏 From: James
Wish I had discovered this tutorial before my visit. Most was similar to my experience, but the blood in my urine with pain was never resolved. I never had a pelvic exam at the urologist……maybe because my gynecologist was the one that referred me. I was discharged from their practice 4 months later, still having pain and blood in my urine. They only did a urine culture, which was negative. Wish you were in my area.
I am going to a urologist for my bladder but I’m worried because I’m not able to get on the table even step on the stool due to extreme lymphadema in my stomach and legs. Are there low tables available? Thank you for your response.
Thank you so much for explaining what I need to expect when going to my OBGYN/Urogynocologist for uncontrollable urination. Can't hold it once it starts. No matter how hard I squeeze I cant stop it.Completely pee myself and getting worse. Sometimes I don't even get a warning that I have to go. Just comes out and can't stop it. It's terribly embarrassing if it happens in public.😢
I’ve experienced that very same thing and have no answers to why, my first time it happened was back in 2017 on vacation in ND. And has happened after physical therapy as well as other times. I feel your frustration and embarrassment. Bless you
When I go to my Kaiser Urology office, I can expect they continue to their “archaic” and out dated methods. I was treated for prostate cancer and all they want to do is biopsies. After painful episodes, I turned to holistic medical professionals who successfully used other methods to resolve the BS diagnosis by Kaiser. I eventually discovered I had congestion in my prostate, treated with regular prostate massage and acupuncture. My PSA at Kaiser started at high levels, then after holistic treatment reduced to 5.0.
What? Insurance only allows you 15 minutes to do all that?! Unbelievable! Anyhow, thanks for this information, Dr. Christie. Wish you were in my area ❤
This is true for all physicians everywhere. Our health care system is horrid, mostly due to private equity and the corporatizing of health care out to make as much profit for themselves and investors as possible with an industry we all desperately need. Nothing like having a product that's needed on a life or death circumstance; who's going to say no? Pay up if you want to live.
Thank you for explaining..wish i came across this video before i had my first time in office cystoscopy supposedly by a top notch urologist in Arcadia, Ca. Wow was i mistaken. It was done by a monster who did not take 5 minutes to explain the procedure. Not only was it extremely painful and humiliating your modesty is out the window. Even the nurse who had the personality of a cold doorknob she was like a robot going through the motions. She gets me ready the so-called urologist comes in just like a drive-through high and next. Then not only afterwards while still in that awkward position on the table he touched me inappropriately and had the audacity to ask if i had a hysterectomy! Are you freaking kidding? I still do not have a real diagnosis only for him to say everything was fine and see you in a year...yea right when pig's fly buddy! I did complain and really used my voice of the unprofessional treatment received by this dr.and his staff. Oh it got worse 5 days later severe complication that i did not expect had to go back to see him and you do not say no to this freak. I had to be cath for a urine sample i said No but,he would not treat me otherwise and a Shot that i said No as well He did not like it. I needed treatment so i said wth do it and get me the hell out of here!! I was in so much pain and angry! I Will Never Have this Procedure AGAIN!! THIS DR....I HAVE FILED A COMPLAINT WITH THE MEDICAL BOARD AGAINST HIM AND THE STAFF. I have told all my friends never to go through this procedure find alternatives. As a woman i felt violated i went on trust to this so called urologist and he betrayed that trust!! Never again.. Thank you. Angry in California 😡🤬
Got my check up in Sept. I'm already so scared. Not sure how to survive the next months. Urology is a special kind of evil. At least I have a female. Don't understand why there's no females in urology.
Th are many females. It depends what part of the country you live in. I live in CT not to far from NYC. I’m also close to Yale New Haven Hospital. Yale’s network of doctors includes many female urologists. I consider myself extremely fortunate.
@@doc145 I live in central PA. I would have to drive several hours for a female urologist. I've been lucky to find a great female PA, but I'm screwed if and when I need a procedure done. Don't know how or if I will survive.
@jessman8597 Because the majority of patients are men and most men are very uncomfortable with female doctors and female doctors are often very unprofessional especially when it comes to modesty. However for men that have a history or sexual assault I can understand why they are not comfortable with a male doctor. I recommend Hershey because they have more options. In my religion it is forbidden to have a women that I am not married to look at my genitals. I am a orthodox Christian we have strict modesty policies.
@@bronsonleach3573 It's interesting, my experience has been so different. The female doctors have been more professional and were the ones to protect my privacy to the absolute max. A male doctor said "everyone here is here for the same reason, so your privacy should be of no concern." I wish I did live closer to Hershey. I looked at them, but not sure it's worth the 2.5 hour drive. I come from an Evangelical background, but I don't have the issue in medical settings.
Lucky Europeans not being surrounded by females in intimate situations, most of them just hanging around looking at male genitalia trying to get mam embarrassed
