Never in all my faction recruit pulls have I ever had all 5 shards for the epic and Rev just passes it off like it's nothing XD

officers really are luck of the draw (i won 2 epics on lucky pulls, from single digits to fully unlocked, still no ops 20 yet either). not everyone will have the same officers. that's what makes crewing advice so difficult. actually though i kinda like it that way. it prevents casual players from ever stumbling on a recipe to win what they don't deserve (outside PMC/T), and forces us to develop a unique playing style.

not even a 20 and i'm pulling a few uncommon/epic/rare. not bragging, plenty others do it,. but to set up my p,oint... aside form cadet scotty, miners, and t'laan, i do not spend xp on commons any more. ESPECIALLY m'benga and zahra.

and jellyfish raining down terror? might kill my miners but i have yet to see one kill my talla. and i'm only at 40k with my talla. jellys on my server are weak af bc most of us know the ship ain't werth the investment. double the damage of a turas, yes. but triple the cost of a turas. scopely math eh?

Can you talk more about the below decks crewing, and why you're recommending Attack and Health? Is that for all situations, or specifically PvP here?

The more Health you have, the longer ships are going to survive.

the healthier you are, the longer you can survive. the stronger/more concentrated your attack, the shorter the battle you will have to survive. if i hit swarm with a strong defense crew i die in short order. if i balance strength across attack and health, i can hit 25+ lvl 17 hostiles from a maxed turas. part of that is officer ability too. i'm lucky enough to have enterprise uhura. she increases accuracy which mitigates interceptor dodge, effectively focusing my attack the same way a tighter shotgun choke will decrease minute of angle spread on the range and tighten pellets into a smaller area. of course with a shotgun a tighter choke means the shooter must be more skilled in order to hit the clay, but analogies only go so far.

Heading to 15 and my Cadet Kirk is still 82 with 0-8 shards… any tips?? Put him on ships anyway?

Don't worry about Cadet Kirk. Work on Urura, McCoy and instructor Spock.

How does "Morale" work for Kirk and Sulu? Is it a stat that is displayed somewhere or something that just happens during a battle?

Only 75% of the way to Pike here. So I’ve been using Yuki(c)/Moreau/Chen(YMC-a??) or Tlaan when applicable. Seems to do okay, and better than morale crew for fighting reds and doing dailies.

No - get the regular versions. The only difference is the skins. They are otherwise the same. Also, you can’t scrap hijacked ships.

Hey Rev. Could you do a video on how the game does supply all you need without using the USS VISA? Of course not in the quantities you’re gonna need but I’m tired of people complaining that this game is pay to play…

Your right I suppose I could play for twenty years and have enough supplies and be level 50, but by then it will be very obsolete. This game ultimately is not free to play

You are correct, if I didn't have a job and could devote 12hrs a day to the game, it's free to play. However, I have a job and a life so, it's not really free to play.

PvP is such a waste of time in the lower levels it's not worth crewing for. I mean most PvP in the game is killing mining ships, so why bother upgrading officers who won't advance my game? Away teams and stat stacking are the only reasons to waste resources on those officers.
