Rep Grinding! | Why New & Old Players Should Dual Faction Grind in Star Trek Fleet Command 

i managed my first 1B rep lock today :)

I dual factioned fed/kli and locked at around lvl 32. Then I was able to lock rom in about a month. So triple locked at lvl 35 now, working on getting an augur and enterprise. But I’m still doing all three dailies, except I only grind rom and kli so using reputation along to boost fed. I know some people who tried single faction and by level 26 or so were really struggling to do dailies killing lvl 39 hostiles.

I did not dual faction. I was level 25 and already pushing for 10mil with Fed when I learned about it. I was -2mil with the others. But now I'm 27, and working toward Tri-lock. Thank you for pointing out the importance of officers early on. It has made a world of difference.

Rev ... your title suggests you're going to answer the 1B/15B solo/dual grind question.... but then punted. Looking forward to that video.

I dual factioned without even realizing what I was doing.. I went rom and klingon and because I had rom ships, killing feds was easy, so I always killed feds. worked put amazing. another tip is keep all of the missions for the faction you aren't grinding. it gives you enough to get to positive territory so that you can start getting the third faction dailies sooner. think it took me a few days to get feds to positive.

Dual faction, all thanks to Rev for that tip. I'd even go as far as recommending romulans or Klingons as your prime faction, using 90% of credits there for ships only, and having federation alongside as it's scopely favoured and you want to have rare Spock and epic Kirk asap, as well as early access to transwarp patters as mentioned. Bringing all three factions to 10 million, there's pros and cons, especially regarding auto grinding xp or for events in higher level systems than augments would provide.

I'm focusing on one up to 1billion and its still a grind. I can't imagine having to balance 2 rep grinds at once to keep them even.

I have a triple faction lock (10M) at level 21 ;) It goes faster once you get Pike & Moreau.

I strongly believe that dual faction grinding is great for any f2p or low spenders into 40+. I went for fed ships in my 30s, now I'm ops 41 and I've already got 215k klingon credits and that's with buying recruit tokens literally every single day. So by alternating which faction is going to be a player's primary faction for ships (choose one faction for 30-34 ships, a different faction for 42-50 ships) you make it easier to have the hundreds of thousands of credits needed for the ships at 41+. Theoretically, by the time I make it into 50+ I will have hundreds of thousands of fed credits to make it easy to buy fed ships in 51+ and go back to fed primary for my ships.

I agree i dual factioned early 20s am now lvl 38 with iver 38k 30min speedups..i get more speedups i can spend and it helps not worrying..it was a bind to get 3rd faction lock from -3m to +10k..i would advise new players to save missions too and only do missions that give faction points needed...i saved my rom missions and got a lot if 100k points to help me get triple locked..please mention missions as their rewards can be important too

I am dual grinding Fed/Rom I found a good way if one rep starts getting higher than the other is I will only "Join Event" on the rep that is lower do that daily event Then I only do the lower daily for that higher rep. That has helped me to keep them even. I started dual grinding based on your videos. And am planning on holding at level 29 to build my resources and Vi'Dar

I am doing Fed Klingon Dual. By maximising my Federation Apprentice & Federation Devotion researches and using an Enterprise for hunting, I get similar point for both Fed and Klingon factions

That's one thing I wish I would've done, I'm so far behind on Klingon and romulan it'll take me forever to get either of them up

One point you may have forgotten, you're gonna need those speed ups to get out of the 2 mil hated. Took me around 1200 30 min speed ups grinding 29k rep per run with max Sally and PMC. When you can't do dailies it's nice to have the speed ups saved up.

Single grinding- locked fed at lvl 34. Camping at 35 while working on the other two. Not ideal but it’s working for me. I needed something to slow me down so I see it as a good thing.

Imagine if Tigercore was reverted to Scopely's "planned" variant? The outcry would have been insane.

I chose to do single rep grind, At 7.6mil with roms at level 29. I know others have maxed out sooner but I ran into the issue of being unable to complete faction hostile daily's and this caused a reduction in how much rep points I gained each day.

I feel like a very important point was disregarded in this video, and that is knocking back down your rep in order to be able to keep doing all your dailies. Gathering the rep itself is a fairly easy task, but getting the faction credits is much less so. To do this, you must keep your quests at a level that can be completed every day. This is not obvious as your rep will go up very very quickly. The difficulty of the hostiles you need to grind (and the quantity of ore that needs to be mined) depends on your rep. As you grind your faction, your rep will always go up way too fast. What I have been doing at level 17 for some time now is every day after my dailies are done, I kill some of both factions until my rep is back down to where I started that day. I will keep doing that until my ship tiers up so that it can grind the next level of hostiles. This way, my faction credits each day are maximized.

if you can grind in ty'gokor that's the place to do it.. you can get two locks there in a couple weeks. it's the highest pay out for feds and rom anywhere in non deep space. it's even higher than many early deep space sytems

Tip for lower level players: pick up all the faction missions you can, but don’t do them until you’re ready to grind that faction’s rep. There are big rep points (relatively) on some of the lower missions. You can go from max negative rep to even in a single day. It’ll get you to that triple lock more quickly.

I'm lvl 41 and still dual faction by choice. Auto-grinding is a big part how I got champion klingon. Yes, that 1B rep.. pew pew!

I'm lvl 41 and have 48k - 30 min repair speed ups from faction grinding and now doing dailies for all 3 factions

When doing duel faction grinding the Vidar and borg refinery make the process way easier to keep in balance

Ops 37 here with 69k 30 minute speedups. They accumulate very fast if you dual faction and even more after tri lock.

Ops 33 now, been trilocked since 31. I have been grinding dailies for all 3 since just for the credits. Already have around 17k 30 min speed-ups

Im level43 now, all thre faction 1st lock done, +45M need to Fed second lock ( 1B :D ) With tier5 Kelvin easy do 25x lev48 and bigger faction hostile and 125k 4*gas easy too. Always killing klingons, but Hydra +refit skin i need a Bchor too with refit. :D

I dual grind but some how I got them uneven a bit, my Kling is 1.2mil away from the 10mil mark but my Fed is one lvl behind. As for the transporter patterns, It was faster for me to to it with the Augments, the one with only 3 officers. I just kept buy that one and now it's giving me transporter patterns. I used it to unlock Georgio since I had only a few more shards to go to unlock her.

Seconded on the repair speedups from the tri-lock...I have 67.1K 30-minute speedups at Ops 35. About dual grinding, though...in my opinion there's a bit of an 'it depends' whether you want to do it or not. If you're concerned about your ability to complete the higher dailies, it makes perfect sense to hold the easier faction back so you don't outrep what your ships can handle. This is the same concept as not hitting Celebrated before you're able to mine G4, only in the 20s. But if I am capable of completing the higher rep level's dailies then I think I would blast through one faction as fast as I could. I would have about half of the second faction done by that time, and getting both locked would take less total time than bringing them up together. That second (and third) faction goes really quick when grinding the same level hostiles that you ground to get to Respected in your first faction compared to slogging through the tiny rep gains of lvl 20 traders early on. It takes some work on ships and research to get that capable that early, but it can be done. By the way, this goes for both hostiles and mining...early on, I got myself into a rep level where my tiny surveys were unable to complete the mining dailies in the time I had available to play and had to resort to setting timers throughout the night to wake up every two hours or so to tend to them. I don't recommend this for ANYONE. Don't let your rep outpace your miners. Everybody's progress is different, though...and for many dual grinding is just what they need.

So What is the tip for up 40s. For self I Solo grinding first to one Billionen then Dual Fraction. My tatic for the 1 Billion Rep is Solo Rom first also hiting Klingeon and doing mission. So I can get my Valdore and Pilum Fast. I also grind in Sol with my Augur. 1 1/2 run I get my Hostile Faction Daily get most Rep. You can grind Newton Kelvin and Hydras or Save some bp form them if you do your Daily in Sol. Kronos and Romulus is the same you get Uncommon und Rare bp. Get the Most rep. For other Ship charts I go in DS with my Valdore. It is also important don't lose Rep by using Faction ships. Your rep Grinding will get faster.

Any tip for how to rep grind from low level player and when to start

Dual Server (22 & 69 - ops lvls 44 and 38) 100% free to play player here. I recommend dual Fed and Rom. I recommend that because Chen is stronger than Tlann in terms of mitigation. If you want to focus on mitigating energy weapons you want to be attacking explorers and if you want to attack explorers you want to be using a battleship and therefore should go Rom. Fed is second faction because of power of Moral Crew. Also don't underestimate the power of Discipline Crew when officers are relatively week which also supports Rom. You should target getting enough credits for Legionary at Ops/shipyard 26. Invest fed credits in shards. I got to shipyard 26 with only a T4 Kehra, T2 Vahklas, No upgrades to Kumari to save for Legionary. Also need exo parts for Franklin and Int parts for vidar

I single faction and I have 2 at the 1B lock. For lower level players dual faction is better for officers, obviously, but at the higher levels it’s better to single faction to get the L46 ships faster.

well, I would be very curios about your thoughts about the "dual faction" ops 40+ and above. I might started too early, ops 37/38ish , with breaking through the 30 Mil/G4 mining dailies Rep.-Step, but it finally paid out for me. I got my Rom credits and the necessary Reputation quite before I reached ops/shipyard 42 and I was able to build my valdore. Just 95 Mili Reputation to be "glorified" with Feds/ Rom and be able to claim Pilum shards, but until 1 bill Rep, its seem quite hard and far away.

@RevDeuce, I'm OPS 25 with 6.5M Rom rep. Fed & Klingon are floored at -2M. Should I keep moving to 10M or pause and work on one of the others. I am currently camping at 25.

u can use your mission to set up an imbalance for your grind.ie grinding klingons but do Rom missions. they will balance out in the grind

dual faction all the way up to ops 49. imho best decision I ever made. having hit the 1.1bn mark for Fed+Rom the dailies turn almost impossible to complete on ops 49. Therefore, I shall grind 1bn Kln rep now🤣(or accept that doing reputation dailies is a massive time sink)

Dual Faction grinding early is a fairly simple concept and easy enough to do. I did my third 10m lock with a Legionary in 47 hours from -200k to 10m. But what are the best (read: most efficient) methods to go from 3x10m to a 1B lock, especially for players in the low 40s whiteout the lvl 46 ships? The high Rep levels are mandatory for both the OPS41 miners as well as the OPS42/46 ships, so Rep grinding is really mandatory in this level range. (I find that the 1500 hostile kill-limit from Scopley pushes players towards bot-farming, because few people have two hours EVERY DAY for months on end to farm Hostiles for Rep.)

So the battle pass points stopped just short or giving us an event ticket for today. Maybe they are wanting us to buy the points or tickets!?

Second, there are so many nuances to keeping your dual factions close that I would love to see you address which you dismiss by saying you can just skip that faction’s dailies for a few days. 1. The faction of the ship you are using makes a big difference. I am killing Klingons and finding that my Romulan rep is growing faster than my fed rep, so I am using my enterprise to grind rather than my augur. 2. Rather than skipping dailies and losing those faction tokens, why not complete the third faction dailies by grinding your highest faction until it is level with #2? Optional: use highest faction ship to accelerate this process. 3. Faction rep exocomps It seems like simply skipping several days with your “primary” faction just leaves a lot of benefits on the table.

I been Tri faction grinding for a few months now lol Much better to lock all 3 factions and then grind 1 faction to 2nd lock at a time Save for at least 1 Epic ship and the Vi'Dar maxed is Better than all level 26 and 28 faction ships till you get ro level 34 to save and build your 1st epic ships when reaching faction 10 million lock per faction. I'm not saing this is the best way to play, but it's worked very well for me And thanks for all your tips Rev

You explain how dual rep faction grinding is so good BUT you don't say how to start it! I have no idea, all I get is some very rare little missions with +60 rep here and there.

At what point do you stop caring about keeping rep levels even? I'm Klingon fed. I'm currently at 4.4M Klingon and 3.9M Fed. I've kept my rep levels even up until the 2M mark. I'm tempted now not to even them out again, allowing Klingon to get to 10M before fed, then farming klingon ships to get fed up to 10M as well.
