New town is the chesterfield of st charles. Be prepared to spend a buttload of money. However, it’s beautiful and reminds me of New Orleans. Anywhere around Main Street st charles will be crowded with tourists; but if you live close and walk dogs, each business has a doggy bowl outside so your dog won’t get overheated. The ones of us who live near Main Street can say it’s a pain in the ass so if you’re trying to go to the store and an event is happening there will be a long stop and go trip (because they’ll have all the main streets shut off; better off hopping on 370 to earth city and taking it to 70. I grew up on the opposite side of st charles (st charles west school) and then went to north county and came back 14 yrs ago. I will never go back to north county but know that the st charles area by Main Street is by the soup kitchen (which means loads of homeless individuals and drugs; we’re basically the country ghetto). Just things I wished I’d kniwn
Thank you so much!!! I live at streets of st charles and I've been hoping you'd highlight this and riverpointe for a while. Can't wait for more riverpointe developments to happen. That lake and supposedly the grocery store will be so epic
River point is no longer happening. The sign is down and the project is no longer listed on the developer’s website. Tore down an entire forest and ruined the island trails for nothing.
How are the schools in St Charles? Thinking of moving to the area but have heard mixed reviews of St Charles and the schools there. I’ve Noticed the houses seem significantly cheaper than O’Fallon and even St Peters and was wondering if there was a reason for the prices being so low. Love your content! Thank you!
As a native St. Louisan from Arnold, MO and South County in general, I can say with the upmost integrity that St. Louis is mostly a shithole. Wentzville, St Charles, Maplewood, Kirkwood, Ladue, Clayton, Webster Groves, parts of South County, and some of the Central West End are exceptions.
@@alaina2616right I get so tired of people complaining about STL. I moved back after living in Florida for 3 years so yeah grass ain’t always greener on the other side.
