With the massive changes brought on patch 11.6, there has been a bit of a shake-up to the Joust meta. With all gods across the board now having less protections and less health, a good amount of stuff is the same, but a lot of pieces slid around as well... So much has changed I decided to make a fresh tierlist with some lengthy explanations for every character. Enjoy!
Description of the Tiers:
SS = Must Pick Must Ban
S = Strong, high priority gods to grab after the first round of bans
A+ = Solid picks with many more positives than negatives.
A = Average. Some solid positive traits, but also similar number of negatives. Can be great to round out a draft in the right scenarios.
B and C = Do we really even care man

I appreciate this video, Cosmos, it helps a lot to know what ranked is looking like and what might be strong in my casual joust maps. I'm interested in perhaps a top items to build list. You cover quite a few builds per god here, namely for serqet that I remember, but I'd appreciate builds for someone like chiron or ullr (ability-based hunters) or some mages. I have no idea what to build since coming back besides warrior builds, and a few adcs. Look forward to seeing what else you post!

Seeing you put an Anhur as an “S” Tier is crazy, I see that man as a free kill, you gotta show me your gameplay of him cause I have yet to see a decent Anhur with my 6k+ hours lol

Yo cosmos i need help relic wise is shell still usefull i dont see it much also do i only go horrific when the have a mage without a dash and so on

I only buy Shell when I can make use of the phantom upgrade, so against stuff like Cabrakan or Odin. Horrific is pretty much always good, it just does so many things. The safest relics you can start with are Horrific and Sprint. If they have a ton of hard CC that can lock you down, Beads is good to start with too.

Can you throw out some good builds for warriors? Osiris and guan? I play a lot of mulan osiris and guan but i typically build them FULL tank without a dmg item. Is that wrong? It feels great a lot but i find i cant kill as easily late game but when i go a dmg item or 2 i get blown up so much easier. Whats the IDEAL way to play warriors???

@@yeahOk-.- in my experience, every warrior game is constant jockeying for finding the "correct" balance in your build between damage and tankiness. Sometimes you can fit 2 power items and feel fine, sometimes 1, sometimes none. For Osiris, I like stuff like Frostbound Hammer and Qin's Sais as damage items. For Guan, I like Caduceus Club as a damage item, and tank items that do damage like Archdruid's Fury and Pridwen. A typical Osiris build for me would be: Warrior's Axe > Glad Shield > Oni's/Frostbound > Oni's/Frostbound > Spirit Robe > Pridwen/Qin's Sais And for Guan: Warrior's Axe > Archdruid Fury > Caduceus Club > Spirit Robe/Pridwen/Mantle > Spirit Robe/Pridwen/Mantle > any situational defense item

Achilles has a bunch of good builds and build paths. A strong core of items I've been liking on him recently are Warrior's Axe, Gladiator's Shield, and Oni Hunter's Garb. Axe with a Contagion rush is solid too if they have a double physical comp and good ways to proc your Contagion. To finish, I like items like Archdruid Fury, Jotunn's Vigor, Spirit Robe, and Pridwen. A straight cookie cutter build might look like this: Sundering Axe, Glad Shield, Onis, Spirit Robe, Jotunn's Vigor/Pridwen, Archdruid Fury

@@cosmos7896 really appreciate the feedback. i haven’t played smite in so long idk what’s good or what’s bad. I’ve been playing a lot of Cthulhu and just abusing curseweaver but achilles has always been one of my favorite gods since his late game execute vs double tank comps is a game ender

Fenrir that low on the same level as gods like Izanami Thanatos and Zeus is wild, his ult forces beads no matter what and applies an extreme amount of pressure due to that fact unlike most gods in A.

But he can easily get zoned out and certain gods make his kit stop mid execution. Thor is a better pick due to stun and wall control, better clear and a global ult.

@@Living_Legends_916 What do you mean zone out? the way fenrir is played is just sitting waiting for his ult, once his ult is up you can't zone him to his tower or you'll get put under it and insta die, especially if they have any cc to follow up after you're under tower. Also when you say "stop his kit mid execution" you're never using his 3 unless it's easily warranted, you just 1 ult or blink ult, that's it. I personally would put him in A+ simply because he has some pretty good counters like Geb, Hel, Chiron, Khepri. I think the problem is that almost nobody plays him in NA just like Nox. Nox and fenrir are super dominant in EU, just gotta play them properly.

I could see both Fenrir and Da Ji being A+ for sure! Especially after the 9.5 revert, their ability to burst, cc, and most importantly easily reach a squishy is very valuable.

54:55 no offense but how is this a factor for cthulu? you say that if he gets hit by a stun and then a bunch of abilities and loses half hp that's a problem for him...well yeah for every single god in the game that's a problem, I don't get how that is supposed to affect cthulu's rank specifically in any way compared to all the other frontlines

Because it's a larger problem for him than others, making it more of a flaw and putting him lower than I otherwise would. Someone like Kuzenbo can take the same poke and shrug it off more easily with his natural tankiness and easier axe procs. If the CC starts putting you in a life threatening situation, Gods like Fafnir, Sobek, and Cerb can quickly jump to safety. It's much easier to focus out a big, sluggish Cthulhu with a clumsy escape. The most similar higher ranked Guardian to Cthulhu is Atlas, another relatively sluggish Guardian with a clumsy escape. The difference is, if you commit too hard to the Atlas, that God has insane turn around potential on you with his 35% prot shred and power reduction ult. A half hp Atlas turning on you with Ult and a Blue Pridwen shield is much scarier to fight into than a half hp ulting Cthulhu.

@@Nick-oo5bf I don't think so. I don't play Smite rn, but when I did, I was pretty good. He's doing pretty good too, but this list is so subjective and trash at the first place.

Nobody is going to take your smite opinions seriously if you don't play the game. Maybe it wasn't good back when you played, but if you know a damn thing about video games you'd know that the meta changes often. What was good before isn't always going to be good now. Also, you should drop your in game name for smite. I'd love to check out your profile and see how good you actually are. Regardless, if you aren't playing, it doesn't really matter how good you are since it's impossible to know what's good if you aren't actively playing it or consistently watching videos about it (and if you were, you'd know it's not a bad tierlist, though it has some flaws imo).
