yeah and i dont get it xD i remember i was kinda disappointed when i finished him, bcs i knew he was hyped af and he wasnt that difficult for me. Manus was probably the hardest fight for me after O&S.

Not taking the loot, not resting, not spending souls,and he is rushing around like a mad man. I am avg/below avg at the game, and never fucked up like this tbh. I took 10 tries to beat taurus, 25+ to beat capra, and I was able to 1 shot artorias, 1 shot manus (with sif help) while mid rolling.
@wickheadthered So true man, but chat is so impatient and doesn't want to wait so long for him to figure it out. And honestly fair enough sometimes, but they take it too far and ruin it for him as a first time player. A lot of the time, the funniest moments are the inbetween parts that most people would skip in vods.
He got carried thru sens fortress, anor londo and dukes by staggering every enemy with zwei. Artorias was the first opponent he couldnt stagger hus way thru XD was so satisfying to see

@@kekcrusader4979 using shields/heavy armor/big weapons/resin is simply too noobish and dirty and no one want to see that,real gamers don't use the advantages of what the game gives them,dark souls games are designed to be super difficult and challenging not to sit in front of the bosses trading shots like in a boxing match.
The craziest part to me is that he just runs off the elevator to get to Artorias without stepping on the square again to send it back up for his next run back.

For most of the technique he had, it would've just been a matter of patience to play it out and defeat Artorias in fair time. The number of times he died from being greedy and impatient though... Asmon defeated himself really. Edit: Actually, judging by the rest of the video it's amazing he even made it to Firelink in the first place.

Seeing him playing against Artorias is really frustrating. It's like he doesn't learn anything at all, the staggered carried him through the game and now he's struggling, Artorias exposed all his skill issues
Is it a good mentality even to just spend 10-15 years of your life playing 1 game? There’s other games out there that are amazing, doesn’t mean they’ll quit wow but after 10-15 years you’d think these people would be bored of seeing and doing the same shit every day for 15 years..
Is it really that much easier using a controller? I also finished this on PC (both DS1 and 2) and i just ordered DS3 for console just to see how different the experience will be, plus i get to play while laying on the couch.
I've been watching this play through since the start.. and.. as frustrating as he was in the beginning, he has improved a lot and it's actually getting fun to watch.. while still ridiculously frustrating. And I know when he says he's a "God" at this game, he's just joking about. But he should watch Lobos Jr's challenge runs, like, Fist Only Run and Mimic Head, No Heal Run. Also, SquillaKilla's no hit runs. They're the real GOAT at this game.
I feel like I need a therapist every time I watch one of his older Dark Souls streams. I don't know if he's trying to be funny or if he actually is completely incapable of learning new lessons. Hell, I would have done better when I was 5 years old. After sperging through everything that came before Artorias, and then sperging through that fight for 2 hours, he rests at a bonfire, 50k souls in his possession, AND DOESN'T USE THEM. He just ran around in the next part of the game.

It's not about overcoming some external opposition it's about overcoming oneself. The thing standing between you and victory aren't the other characters in the game, it is you yourself. Everyone should go look at the global achievements for this game and see for themselves how many people gave up at each point in the game, how many undead lost themselves and hollowed. God, I love this game.
People are stupid, and they are never satisfied, if you kill the boss too fast you’re level is too high, if you need a few tries you suck, if you go for the hit and die ur greedy if you don’t go for the hit ur dumb, if you beat the whole game then the game itself becomes “not that hard bro”. At one point during this stream he literally asks a question, gets an answer, then threatens to ban people. He either should take advice, or ignore it completely. He obviously takes advice, so when he starts berating chat for giving advice literally three seconds after asking for it, it makes him look like a bigger dumbass. Asking for help and then shitting on chat honestly made me wish that chat just literally full stopped on advice and let him suffer more, but people were getting sick of watching him not learn shit for 3 hours and were yelling tips at him for him to just get this trainwreck over with, something he should be fine with because he takes advice all the time, unless hes salty of course, in which case he tells you to shut the fuck up, then reads chat anyway like a pleb.
I died 20 times on my first playthrough fighting Artorias. The secret to defeat him is to not stay to close nor to far, medium distance is perfect, get one hit on him and back up.

literally played dark souls for hours on end, beat hackers & everything played this game offline or online didn't matter and im still watching every minute of all these videos.
think there's only 2 or 3 i haven't really seen idk, kind of got tempted to watch his later videos so i started watching his later videos sooner than I should have.
well i would say it WOW didn't spoil him in a way of always running, never looking the area, just going for the hardest hits at fasz cooldowns - which he doesnt have in this game - then he might really be a good gamer. but i admire his spirit to never give up and always keep trying. If he learns patience, swordtechnique and being aware of the area around him - it would really be fine. But he is evolving and i am looking forward seeing him on his way up to becoming a mighty hero. Go for it Asmin!

I heard Asmon say he didn't like the bird boss in Elden Ring and said it was as one of the worst bosses ever about as bad as Artorias, who i consider to be the best boss in dark souls 1, so i had to come see how this went for him. It is possible to make a build that can comfortably power through the boss the way Asmon wanted to with an ultra great weapon and R2s but his build wasnt minmaxxed enough for that here. Also i was waiting nearly 4 hours for Asmon to send the elevator up after using it so he wouldnt have to wait for it each time, oh well.
Throughout all of this, he complains about his “jitters” and not focusing but in 3 hours he goes through like 5 cokes. I can only imagine what the rest of his diet is like. DS is a game that allows you to fix the difficulty yourself. Should have gone to Anor Londo and gotten stronger. And for someone that says they can’t keep a thought together and are “scatter brained” he sure is focused on “killing the boss”. Got throughout most the game out of brute force and hit that Artorias wall REALLY hard.

I played it on release. It's a good game, but a bad Soul's game. Very Linear. What made Dark Souls so good was the interconnecting world. DS2 was just, Go this way, Fight a boss, go back. go a different way, fight a boss, go back. And the area's you get to went to didn't correlate with the area you were just in, it didn't make much sense half the time. Also, The parry system in 2 was pretty awful as well. The only thing that really made up for that game was the DLC because it was one of the best DLC's I've ever played. This is coming from a guy who smashed so many hours into DS2, and completed a no bonfire run as well :-P
its a pretty good game to me, i beat it and new game +, the only problem i found with it is gimmicky boss fights,but its bound to have gimmick boss fights when it has 41 bosses in total
he's playing reasonably good, compare this to first 10 hours, his skills have come a long way. Keep in mind he's doing a dlc boss with a +10 weapon and a few points was ted in resistance / dex. When i faught this boss, i could flat out trade hits and chug and come out on top lol.

@@__asher__ If he was one-handing his weapon and actually using the Grass Crest Shield then ok, it's worth it. But he is just draining all of his stamina with Zweihander 2H heavy attacks. Along with other heavy weapons. And it's sad to think that a random would assume that the Grass Crest Shield sparkling is a cosmetic shield. No. Dark Souls is not a game for kids who use their parent's credit card to buy paid mods in vidya games lol :P "Why doesn't he buy more Souls to level up?" Because this isn't a scam like WoW :)
@@TheFrosstitute gaiden needs to chill, but the grass crest shield is perfect for 2 hand builds. I used zweihander and grass crest, with full smoughs armor, and still med rolled at lvl 38 as my darkwraith character. The buff applies still when its on your back, so you can go for a few swings and recover fast enough. The shield is adequate when you really need to block too. This streamer really is using zwei poorly though, the light attack is very strong and you can quickly get out 3 swings and still have the energy to roll. Or my favorite is the roll attack, which makes you lunge it like a spear

Come on dude. And btw, all those times you died and wondered why you were getting hit. It is because you rolled too late or too early, not because of lag. Also there are plenty of times where you try and attempt a second attack only to die that makes no sense either.
Doing it now. At first it’s difficult /weird to get used to how much slower things are and how linear it is compared to Elden ring. Once you get through though, I think this game is actually easier than Elden ring.
It's either a cake walk or tough as nails tbh, the slow movement fucked me over coming from ds3 and ER, using one estus for 3 secs to get hit again. Manus destroyed me the most but O & S took 2 tries

It's incredible how little about the game his chat knows, while so loudly backseating. The Zweihander R2 and running R1 while two-handed creates a ground shockwave that guaranteed staggers anything that can be staggered, if it lands close to their primary hitboxes. Because some of his R2s are off-center or glancing, and because he's a noob at this point, it doesn't register which part of the attack is resulting in the stagger, and therefore he never grasps how overpowered the attack is. Chat also fails to describe any of this at any point in their backseat spam. Asmon still managed to get it done through perseverance and grit.
