Sorry to hear you had problems with the other charger. Thanks for sharing that. Definitely demonstrates not all chargers are made the same. But having the 240 volt outlet saves you ever having to worry about access to the source power at least. That was one and done!

looks like your down about one bar on the battery. I use a 3.5 kilowatts battery charger that cost about one hundred and ten dollars every since i got my 2013 leaf in 2015 my battery is down two bars at 78000 miles

I like cars and trucks that last as long as my maintenance skills can carry them. I have a 24 year old truck and a 20 year old jeep. When an EV or hybrid can prove to me that they can last for that long and still hold value, they will have my business. I will never understand how someone is willing to drop new car money on a vehicle that might last for ten years..........if you're lucky.

a lot of the outlets you buy are not suitable for constant charging and go on fire i would hardwire it if you can

Hellll no. Not in my climate, where things get cold and hot. Lithium batteries cannot cope with temps below freezing or above 90F. They will have half charge capacity - or fail entirely - within 5 years of extreme temps. You must either live in paradise or you don't mind replacing your entire battery pack, which is the entire car.

From -20F last winter, to 95F yesterday, I've made twelve 400-mile round trips in my Lithium Ion battery powered Kona EV in the last 6 months in addition to a daily 65-mile commute. No problem with range or charging at either temperature extreme and no problem maintaining the cabin at a comfortable 75 degrees in the winter, and 65 in the summer. Battery has a 10-year warranty. Also, Lithium batteries are now the standard for general aviation use because of their longevity, high energy density, and reliability at extreme temperatures and after long rest cycles between uses.

So why are so many EVs sold and used in Norway?
