I try to look for cropped pants, rather than capris. I have veiny, pasty white legs, so I’d rather not wear shorts. I have found some nice pants online, from Land’s End, & LL Bean. I like Land’s End Starfish collection, of knit pants. You can dress them up, or down, & they come in slim or relaxed fits, petites, misses, & plus sizes. LL Bean has the Perfect Fit collection of jeans, & knit pants. They have petites, misses & plus sizes.
I have a similar issue and I don't like to wear hose when wearing a skirt, dress or skorts. Have you tried Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs? It's not a tanner, but more like makeup for your legs. They come in several shades and seriously, they cover all my veins, scars, and weird dark spots! After letting it dry, I haven't had any issues with rub off of color onto clothes, but I usually wear dark colors on my lower body. You should be able to find it wherever they sell Sally Hansen (yes, the nail polish company.) I've never found another product like it, but if anyone knows of one, I'm all ears! But you can't beat the price, usually under $10 per can.
Another well researched video. Thanks. That hair dryer looks so wonderful. If I had hair, I would get one. Well, I have some hair but old age and cancer haven’t done me any favors in that department. I have capris but seldom wear them out of the house for just the reasons you mention. Have been thinking about skorts and Talbots has a great sale right now. My inseam is 27 too. Luckily I can sew so alteration of the length isn’t a problem. Till next time♥️

So tempted to get that hairdryer! Nothing wrong with the one I have (which is the problem!) - so trying to think of a way to justify it! Love ankle pants, that's the only length I wear - works all seasons, with all different types of shoe heights. I also used to love shorts - but years of standing on hard floors left me with some ugly veins. Looked into having them zapped, but a little too expensive for me. I can cover the lower legs with makeup or a little self tan - but those days are over. Loose maxi dresses are great for the hot weather.
No capris for me but I love wide leg linen pants, shorts, and skorts. I live in Florida and won't give up my short no matter what, lol. I don't even care if they don't look good on me anymore, it's just too dang hot here. And with that being said, I think about 80% of my wardrobe now is either linen or cotton or a blend of the two. Though I do have several Athleta skorts that are (I think) recycled polyester which you would think would be miserable in the heat but really do wick away the sweat so go figure. I have very heavy legs and love that wide legs are in fashion. I am tall so I can wear, ankle, crop or regular length. I agree capris are out!! Especially the slim leg ones!!
Hi Cathy. I have never liked capris. I much prefer ankle length pants. I don’t like a wide leg cropped pants either. The two thirds rule works best for me. I found some interesting pants from a shop in south Wales which sold Italian clothes. They are perfect. I have never seen Scorts here. I would love to try them. Good video. Love L🌺🌺
Agree with everything. I liked the photo of you wearing black pants and loafers and a print blouse in Alaska. I am going to wear my black linen pants and new black suede driving loafers with a v necked blouse ...white background with small " ditsy size" black and red hearts today to a routine doctor visit. I had top tailored so its not too flowy at the waist. Sleeves are slightly puffy with eleastic to push up. I have many clothes tailored so everything fits well. I've been wearing very light summery pants so far in our blistering heat so wearing black pants and shoes will be a diversion. Loved that look on you.

Good advice regarding knowing one's measurements - I am a size 2Tall- I look best in a 35 inseam.. hard to find- that aside, manufacturers don't always follow the same sizing even for smaller sized clothing- good advice to check your own measurements no matter where you fall in size or shape category! Only showing my (thick) ankles in cropped styles is actually worse for me than capri pants. Part of the fun of fashion is finding what works best on us as individuals. I appreciate your ideas.
Most capris on me land just below the calf line so I wear capri sports leggings as full length. You wouldn’t believe my mum was a hairdresser I got non of her hairdressing ability I have no co ordition to use a brush and dryer that’s why the airwrap helps me.
@@StyleWithCathy I love it but I’ve got the first addition they do have small brushes and barrels. It’s one of those things that if it broke I need to replace it with the same. It takes some getting used to for curls. It’s a bit like tapping ya head and rubbing your belly. But if I do my hair straight usedream coat I just wiz over with the brush In the am and I’m done. With the right shampoo and no swim or gym it can last a week.
Skorts and capris are my staples. I'm short so they look like ankle pants for me. 💜 Zuvi Halo hairdryer is better than the Dyson? I never pay more than $100 for hair appliances. 🤔
I don't like Capri's either, but, if I'm on vacation, cruise,etc, I will wear them, because I just don't care how they look, lol, I have skorts which I love, and I buy ankle pants, which I love for the Spring, Summer, and Fall, just MO
IMHO I think tall people can pull off capris better than 5'2" people like me. My inseam is 28" and most capis make it look my pants shrunk. I either do shorts or pants. And shorts are not my long suit!😁😅

I don’t think skirts are a good option for plus size women as most have heavy legs. Exposing those knees won’t be the best option. My opinion only of course. And as always be sure to check how the caboose looks in the rear view mirror.
Agree, one needs to determine if skirts/skorts are flattering for them. Generally speaking, tho, apple-shaped bodies carry their weight in the mid section and have slim (slimmer) legs allowing them to wear skirts/skorts and shorts. Love the caboose comment. True that.
I love the look of linen pants, but don't like the upkeep....not an ironing kind of girl. I wonder if I can dewrinkle them with a special setting on my dryer without shrinking?
I use Downy Wrinkle Release on my linen. Spray your pants the night before you wear them. They will be relatively wrinkle-free and ready to wear the next morning.
Lucky me, I have great legs! Long, slim, perfect taper to the ankle. Unlucky for me, the mosquitoes love them too! And I hate wearing bug repellent. That's why I don't wear capris in warmer weather. Or shorts. Or skirts. So it's long pants or lightweight jeans for me all summer long. With socks and closed shoes. Not exactly stylish, but I won't have age spots or skin cancers either! Thanks for letting us know we can wear whatever we want!
I think short people like Capris because normal size capris hit us at the ankles and give us more definition down there. If they hit us at mid-thigh, we wouldn’t like them as much.
Miniskirt-length skorts only look good on people with slim legs. Those of us with lots of inner thigh flab don't necessarily want to show it to the whole world.
The models have flat tummy's. I have an apron with apple shape. I can't wear where the fronts shoes. I think capris make me look taller. BTW, I have same inseam as you do.
