Remember how the media called the summer ones mostly peaceful? Look up Simon Parkes on YT. He says stuff is happening now. And Trump will be our President with maybe Michael Flynn as VP. Couldn’t agree more. I’m a conservative and while I don’t agree with some of her policies she at least is willing to listen and work with both sides. I’m a Trump supporter and he has the same mentality but the democrats and even some republicans didn’t like him and wouldn’t work with him because of that.
I don't believe in term limits but I believe in forced breaks. So a senator has to skip a term after 2 terms. For the house say 4 terms they need a break of 4 years. This way they can't lobby in between their terms in office and we can keep electing those that actually do a good job since they will stand out.

Looking at for example a single payer healthcare proposition, a few years ago this was not even something that was mentioned in the debate, and if it was mentioned everyone pretty much agreed that it's politically impossible because it was. Tulsi is more independent than Democrat. Even at the micro level. I remember people in my strata council building telling me how to vote or trying to get my proxy vote. I enjoy Tulsi in interviews and like her strong, calm demeanor, but as a Republican, I think most of her platform and policies (anti-2A, pro-abortion, increased taxation, pro-Green New Deal, etc.) are absolutely awful. I'd never vote for her.
The shame of it is that it wasn't always this way. There was always party politics, but years ago, it was more or less based on different philosophies of how to get things done. Now, it is whatever is best for them. I chatted with a Senator who was in office for 30 years and he said that in the old days, they could argue on the floor, but they would go have a beer together afterward. He said that now, they wouldn't dare be caught talking to the other party after hours. Back in the 70s, I remember for a heavy debate, they would bring kegs of beer into the house floor. I can only imagine what the media would do if they did that now.

Gabbard, having been in the military knows this, and in spite of that fact as well as her oath to uphold the Constitution, she is in favor of banning these weapons in order to get democrats to vote for her. The government has no business banning weapons that are inferior to what the military uses. AR does not mean "assault rifle" which is a term made up by democrats. It comes from the company that designed the weapon: ARMALITE. As former military she should know better, and should NOT be against the Constitution, namely THE BILL OF RIGHTS. She needs to change her views on this. *Criminals, by definition, are law breakers and will not abide by gun control laws.
