It is weird, but I can see facial expressions of Joshua's that are the same as Ron The ISTP,/Mr Mullet, who is German or Swiss, or somesuch, so it's very unexpected.

This was really interesting, especially since i also struggle landing on my type. The part, that it's not really about function strenght but how much you do it really spoke to me. That even if you fail, it could be one of your top functions, since you keep on trying, even without a positive result. Definitely something I can watch out for in myself now

Dammnn, I experienced the same thing, that WHEEL part, it was because of my curiosity, and it felt like I want to feel something on my feet. The result was my right shoes was RIPPED, lmao. Unfortunately, it didn't ripped my heel hahahahah. My mom was a lil bit panic when she felt something wrong with the vehicle, she stopped and I admited that my right shoe stuck on the wheel, hahahahahah. They were new shoes tho, fyi. Oh, and yea, I have a kind of urge to touch everything, to see everything, to taste the thing that catch my attention, to know everything everywhere. These behaviours are important to me to make an impressions, I use them to collect information, and I use all of that to enhance my social interactions (because it's so hard to connect with people or say something to them theoretically without any experience). -ISTP woman

Infinite, your collection of amazing interviews you have Joyce… expanding wisdom in a pure way. My friend group would analyze our dreams on the school bus consisting of me ;) ENFP, an INFJ, ENTP and an INTP… we also made friends with a maple leaf that lived in a tree near the INFJ’s bus stop and it would ride with us and go to sleep in the tree at night…. It was a fun ride! Yeah look at the gaze….and not the guarded INFJ protective Ni Fe I can see infinitely beyond what’s going on 😂😊. Also, Brad, my future gazer, started to read Jung independently and for different reasons than usual I think maybe but yeah, it’s getting fun in our house Ahha.

I am a small cn typology content creator myself, and been a long-time fan of both Joshua and you. I've learnt a lot over the last 2,3 years by watching your contents. It's such a cool collab I never thought this interaction would happen. I really love that Joshua's contents are friendly to broad audience while also focusing on accuracy of the definitions. I love how your contents invited so many people and got them to share their unique understandings and perspectives on typology. Can't express my appreciation enough. Joshua mentioned in the interview that behaviors sometimes don't translate to cognitive preference in mbti, and I completely agree. That's why I think other typology tools like enneagram would help create a more complete self-understanding, how the childhood experience and environment influenced our motivation, fear, and coping mechanism. Each theory has its limitation, for example if we don't look at enneagram we might mistake enneagram 9's emphasis on harmony as Fe. Each typology tool is like a layer, multiple layers can provide more dimensions and thus more accurately pinpoint a person's personality.

I really loved this interview; it made it clear to me I'm definitely an STP. How he expresses, critiques, has insights and even his struggles, is very familiar. Joshua has such a, hmm, quality to how he is. I can't distill it nor can I make I bundle a wealth to communicate, so quality in the affirmative and connotative sense is a good door to enter and see the horizon of what can be intimately rececied about him through that word. The type community, much like the music industry or a local music community, is very interwoven. You can tell through social media through mutual friends & followers. Anyhow, this mistyping has always interested me. Both INFJ’s that mistyped as ISTP and vice versa. My first 2-3 results were ISTP, but as you know, I’m an INFJ.

Really solid points regarding what to look out for when typing. I like the example of Strong Circumstances versus Weak, and how some circumstances force us to adapt outside of preferences, making it more difficult to discern personal preferences, and how opportunities of free will might help reveal more of our preferences. The multiple layers and perspectives, as well as feedback from others is also a good way to think about type. Joshua points out an important point with how different people can interpret the same thing in a multitude of ways, trying to fit themselves in to what is presented, bringing a different intended meaning to the situation. And also the importance of not making assumptions, or at least examining initial assumptions, since they can form the foundation and direction of our thinking patterns, influencing in a trajectory that might not be so accurate.
