Same!!! If somebody knew their Bible I was so uncomfortable to everything I would say because I would become aware of how ridiculous it sounded. I actually started a undercover study with a JW and I can tell she is baffled at the knowledge I have and I always say God gave it to me. She is having to constantly say “I’ll have to research and get back to you” even about very simple truths
I was never good at _'pretzel logic',_ where you'd have to bend and twist your reasoning, forcing unrelated references in the bible to become relevant, somehow. It would have been much easier for me to learn to play chess, the complicated maneuvers being simpler than the maneuvers a Witness must employ to show the Organization has The Truth. And nervously playing against a chess master in front of a judgemental crowd? Would be less stressful because we're leaving out issues of their eternal salvation, an angry God that'll kill billions at Armageddon very very soon.... I've been out for years and I still have anxiety! 🙄

Fortunately my anxieties are far more mundane, tied to everyday life and I've gotten much better with mindfulness meditation, seeing the causes of my anxieties to be imaginary, never anything real. Thank you for your encouragement and may you continue to be blessed on your spiritual journey!

Many have read Ps. 83:18, but even here, some Bibles have removed God’s name. Also, what a lot of people DON’T know is that God’s name was in the original language over 6 thousand times!

I heard that they are taught that all Christians don't study, they just call themselves Christians. My mom converted when I was less than or right at a year old(1982/3). When I got older I had more than a few questions that they could not answer. By the time 16 years old rolled around and how fake my mother treated us compared to what Jesus was like I didn't bother. In 2017 Jesus woke me up (I was about 35) now I am 40 and I still face palm over what they are still teaching.

We had two JW women come to our front door about a month ago after we had finished eating breakfast. She asked us a question about the end times and said, "Did you know that at one point God will end all this suffering on Earth?" I said, "Yes, when Christ returns, Scripture says that He will stand on the Mount of Olives and it will divide in two and He shall destroy his enemies and we will reign with Him for eternity!" She said, "Well, I see that you're all eating breakfast so we will leave you to it, have a good day" and she walked off. I turned around and looked at my family and said, "That was it? That's all it took?" My dad said, "Wow, the words you spoke must have hit her with so much authority from the Lord that she had to leave. Her spirit must've trembled inside her." Glory to God. I pray these people stuck in this false heretical religion can one day realize that in Christ there is freedom.

I left JW, and went to other religious sects, I felt no warmth...and oh, JWs entire faith doesn't hang on Psalm 83:18. I went back for 2024 memorial and I felt home. I think I'll reconsider and join them back.
That’s your problem. You are looking for people to Find the truth. You are looking to Organization and religion to make you feel a warm Fuzzy feeling. It’s to Whom you go, not to where. Go to Jesus, not an organization or group.

I’m not a Christian… but why do Christian’s believe that Jesus is the flesh form of god when he was on earth he was talking to god… from research and studying for a long time I’ve gathered that gods name was Yahweh which is Jehovah. And then his name was removed… bc it was too scared. So I don’t know how people think god is Jesus? Jesus is a god but he is gods son too. From studying the Bible and many bibles I’d say Jehovahs witnesses are correct… also I ah e met some Jehovahs witnesses in Korea and they stand outside with a cart… they’ve only been nothing but nice and they were happy to know that I knew about the Bible despite coming from another religion.

Where I work, so called “born agains” act just like everyone else and excuse each other thinking they’ll be “forgiven”. People in the churches really need to be concerned about their OWN salvation instead of trying to “save” JWs.

The Geneva Bible was written before the KJV and William Tyndale was sentenced to death for making it. The KJV actually says “Jehovah” with a J… while the Geneva Bible writes it as “Iehouah” 👍

They are one...in PURPOSE and UNION. However, they are diverse in ENTITY. Even Jesus strongly supported this fact during his time on earth as a human. In John 14:28 Jesus says that he is "going away to the Father, for the Father is greater than I am." Also in 1 Corinthians 15:27 apostle Paul says "For God[ Jehovah] subjected all things under his[ Jesus] feet but when he says that all things have been subjected, it is evident that this does not include the One[ Jehovah] who subjected all things to him." So if Jesus and Jehovah are one as you say they are, then how is that Jesus' power has a limit? God almighty is limitless... . Jehovah God is limitless.

Scholars are not in agreement with take your pick: Yahveh,Yahweh, Yahaveh, the purpose of a English translation is to transmit words to English for a better understanding, scholars are in agreement with the name Jehovah as it has been in use for centuries.

Jesus never said the word Jehovah once nor used it in prayer. Even when he instructed us how to pray...starting with "our Father". Let that fact stew for a day or two. There was no letter "J" in hebrew. Let that sink in Strongs concordance points out a significant difference between "Hava" and "hovah" and "Je" which means two speperate words("Je") the first part means lord of the second part ("hovah")wickednesss. Which is different to "hava" Let that sink in. A Catholic priest was the first recorded to come up with spelling and added that name to thw bible. Let that marinate for a day or two. Jehovah is the mistranslation of the TetraGramatan YHWH. When the priest would read through the Hebrew text they would use the term Adonai instead of yahweh. Out of reverence. And so to remind them to just say Adonai they then added the AOA Hebrew vowel marks.from AdOnAi over the YHWH. Anyone unaware May try to read as a single word you would read YaHoWaH. 1100 ad the letter Y was adapted to a J amd W to a V. Thus was coined the term Jehovah
I think that she became aware then that you could be a Ex-JW. I think that that was her concern. Only JWs and ex-JWs know that verse by heart. You should be more cautious when you don't want JWs to know that you are an Ex.
Yeah I knew it was risky but honestly neither of them caught on at all, I was pretty surprised. They genuinely just thought I was a Bible loving person.

JW’s have made changes like inserting Jehovah in places that actually say Lord in the Greek and the word other in where it speaks of creation forgive me I exactly where but it’s like four times they did it that’s all I remember about it use to Bible study with them years ago but recently came across shamounian channel which reminded me of what I had come across but he’s far more detailed
Yup. In Col. 1 where it says Jesus created all things they add created all (other) things. They used to have it brackets but in 2023 removed the brackets. And YES! When they add Jehovah where it says Lord, they completely miss the point the author is trying to make! Like in John when John the Baptist says he is the voice calling out in the wilderness , preparing a way for the lord in the desert, clearly is talking about Jesus because ummmm that’s who he was preparing a way for in the desert and literally baptized the next day, and he is quoting Isaiah where it says a voice calling out in the wilderness prepare a way for YAHWEH! The name jehovah was not used by any of the Prophets of God… This name was not invented until after the 1500’s So if Moses, Abraham, David, Job, none of these men ever called their creator by the name jehovah then why should we? How do I know, you may ask. The J sound was not in use until over 1,000 years after Jesus. So the name Jesus is also an alleged translation, that was created 1500 years after him. Therefore, no one ever called him this nor has he ever told anyone to call him this… These names are not translations, they are fabrications and who knows the motive behind them? More than likely, YHWH does not translate to Jehovah anyway!

As a young jegovzs witness.... were all people we all have out flaws and yes there's always going to be people like that but please don't judge an entire religion from one lady, I can assure you we do not all believe that.
I won't discuss the name of Jehovah or non-salvation issues with Jehovah's witness. But, I will discuss with them who is Jesus Christ. Because they believe in a different Jesus. They deny that Jesus is God and Jesus said if you don't believe in who I Am you will die your sins. This is what's important here.
Exactly! I mention that a lot in my testimony! That scripture is what brought me to Christ. Once I realized his identity it all clicked and I was born again! Hallelujah for our Great God and Savior that came to die for us!!

I even have authority over my son. But, what are we? We are both still human. Another example, on my job I have a boss and I am his employee, he has a greater position than me and even has authority over me. But, what are we? We are still both human. Greater in the Greek meizon means greater in position and not nature. Jesus and the Father are one. Jesus and the Father share the same nature. What did Jesus say. Father glorify me with the glory which I shared with you before the world began. And we know God does not share His glory with anyone. Jesus was truly God and truly man.
