In the books, the Velaryons have white skin, but in the terrible series, racists changed the Velaryons’ skin color to black

It's based on the rival factions in Viserys court; the Greens (Alicent wore Green) and the Blacks (Rhaenyra wore Black) spilling over into the war between both sides. If it had anything to do with skin colour then Alicents skin would be green 🤣 hell Aegon's banner is a Gold dragon; it would make more sense to say the Golds and the Reds

It's important to remember that in the books, the only reason Aegon agreed to become King is due to the fear that Rhaenyra would have him and his family killed if she became Queen. This paranoia is not entirely unfounded. Rhaenyra is pretty brutal in the books, having ordered the murder of Vaemond Velaryon and later feeding him to her dragon.

All of House Velaryon, House Plumm, good part of House Hightower, House Martell, House Baratheon etc. All Targaryen lines won't go extinct, just highly that the name will get lost.

King Jaeharys the 1st regardless of vote wouldn’t of made her queen. Due to one simple Westeros tradition her children inherit the fathers surname Jaeharys knew that Corey’s was using his ties to Rhaneys to get himself on the Iron Throne. Unlike King Viserys the 1st the idiot. King Jaeharys the 1st was arguably the greatest and wisest Targaryen ruler and longest reigning one at that. Hence he called a council or a ‘vote’ but in truth it was a mere ploy to stop a war the succession in truth was clear from the beginning all King Jaeharys had to do was call a council to avoid a war.

This might just be my opinion, but Aegon really shouldn’t have been crowned off the words of his mother alone. We all know that Alicent misunderstood what Vis said, or she heard what she wanted to hear at the very least, but realistically, with her being the only person in the room at the time of his death, nobody should’ve taken her word for gospel, true or not, queen or not. No one really questioned her and if what she claims was said on the Kings deathbed was true. The king never denounced Nyra publicly or to his small council so she should’ve been crowned as queen.

Remember, except for Aegon everyone's character is watererd down in the show. Especially Rhaenyra. Rhaenyra was worse in the books. She had Vaemond fed to her dragon after Daemon killed him, Viserys had cut five men's tongues who later became known as the silent sisters because they had questioned the legitimacy of her bastards. She had Laenor killed to marry Daemon. Aegon didn't even want to be the king. He said in the books "what kind of Brother would steal his sister's birthright?" But after Criston Cole, the Kingmaker, convinced him that Rhaenyra would put him and his brother's heads to the blade only then he was convinced he had to save his family. So his reaction to Rhaenyra being crowned is understandable.
