Much respect for you and da trooper for helping that lady out. Once I had to help dig out a lady stuck in 2 feet of snow in the alley behind my old house; she had a kid too. Took close to 45 min and I was drenched in sweat. she got out and offered me 20 bux for my troubles, I looked at her and told her to buy a warm meal for her kid. Help is universal. Be kind to each odder.
Back in 91 on that Halloween blizzard, my family got stuck at my moms nursing job for over night... Next morning me and my dad started to dig us out and had to stop to dig the mail man out twice (once coming in to the Nursing home and going out)... Sadly with the world now a days we don't help each other out like we did back then.
You can tell that trooper has done this many times before, carryies a Harbor Freight jack in his cruiser! And an NCSHP trooper came to my rescue a couple of years ago on the roadside. Tire had blown on my fifth wheel trailer; carcass flailing around in the wheel well had torn electric brake lines. He hauled out a king sized set of bolt cutters and presto! Plus, everyone moved over into fast lane with the cruiser's lights going...
Police and State Troopers do a lot more than just hand out tickets. They put there lives on the line every day. I have seen them on the side of the road helping people with their broken down cars. Helping change tires, help get the car started.
now there s that systemic racism the media tells us about at work !? two whites incl. a cop, helping a black lady with a flat. and all that toxic masculinity . 😂👍
It is really nice to see a trooper help someone who was stuck and one citizen. I unfortunately had the opposite happen to me. My cars clutch went out right at a very busy intersection. I had the hood up and the emergency flashers on, but know one stopped to help or get my car out of the traffic. Not even the five police cars that drove by.
In Europe, a manufacturer's warranty is required by law to last a minimum of two years, not just one as in the US. A European warranty begins when a product is received by the customer , not the purchase date.
I'm guessing the issue here is that the importer has bought the item for resale so the warranty starts when the importer buys it. I might add that in the UK it is presumed to be a manufacturing defect if the item fails within 6 months of purchase, after which the customer has to prove it. However, as I found out when a company called 'savemylight' tried to claim misuse on a product less than 6 months old, that the cost and time of pursuing them through the small claims court, although not prohibitive, would have been disproportionate to the loss. Furthermore because it was less than £100 my Credit Card Company failed to act. Above £100 the Credit Card company is liable. Further to the above I do not believe the law specifies 2 years. From the 'Which' consumer Website: "You have up to six years to take a claim to the small claims court for faulty goods in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, and five years in Scotland. This doesn't mean that a product has to last six years - just that you have this length of time in which to make a claim if a retailer refuses to repair or replace a faulty product." Thus if you can prove a manufacturing defect there is no 2 year limit. PS. This is one reason why goods cost more in the EU than in the USA.
@@marquisdemoo1792 In the US, the term is 4 years. The warranty period is moot if the design or sub-tier components are faulty. This is Steve Lehto's (Lehto's Law) specialty.
@@wayneegli8379 is there a distinction between manufactory and serial or mass production, i.e. a hause or industrial machinery vs. a tv or refrigerator?
You and that trooper were so kind to help that lady. Those mowers reminded me of the Enterprise from Star Trek...very futuristic to the eye. Andy was incredible explaining those machines. You were so excited to get to show us these. It will be cool to see them in action. Thank you to you and Andy for making this possible for all of us. Have an awesome weekend and stay safe in that snow! 😊🙏
The D.O.T. guys bailed me out this summer. I blew a tire on my dump trailer and they pulled up while I was starting the replacement. The guy got out with a battery powered dewalt impact. Told him he was becoming a hero to me. Was done so fast and loved the blocking vehicle with lights. He didn't say anything about being loaded a little heavy with gravel. I was having a little trouble with my 3 ton floor Jack so he put his under it also and he was very helpful. Thanked him allot.
That highway cop goes above and beyond. Good guy! I was a tow driver. Not many of them will do this. A lot just called us. Another thing to carry is a hammer. Wheels can get rusted on.
Tell Andy we said thanks for stepping up and doing the demo. It takes a guy like him to recognize the potential of doing this. Most companies have administration that just doesn't get it. If they're lucky enough to have someone like Andy to take the bull by the horns and seize the opportunity, they might just sell more equipment. Stan, good job of being persistent and getting this video out.
At Altoz our motto is "Take the bull by the BALLS not the horns!" Stanley is going to be a great partner with us and we look forward to a long relationship.
This is something I seriously love about you Americans, especially those in rural areas. That spirit of human hospitality is so strong among you all. Reminds me of the state I grew up in Nigeria.
Great video! I'm disabled and believe it or not, I just watch your videos for therapy. Here's another thing, my pain and depression can put me so far down that I struggle with suicidal thoughts almost on a daily basis and you might not realize this but watching your videos just might be enough distraction to get me to pull through it. What I'm getting at Stanley, is that through your videos, you are making a difference in someone's life, and I thank you for that! 🤜🙏
This is the best comment I’ve ever received! I am so grateful you’re here you have no idea. Super happy to help in aaaany way brother. Hmu if you need anything ever. Sending you love & blessings man 👊❤️
🐿Hi Leo, that was so beautifully expressed and as someone who has struggled with anxiety and depression for over 30 years I understand where you are coming from and just wanted to reach out and let you know that someone on the other side of the world was touched by your words and is thinking about you and is sending you love & light, I hope you are doing OK. 💜🕯🙏 kindest regards, Kat, Kai & Hunter, Australia🦘
GOD BLESS YOU my husband is a State trooper in Nebraska and he can't count how many tires he has changed and not one single person has ever stopped to see if he needs help. Thankfully he knows his way around vehicles lol as he grew up as a mechanic. So thank you so much for taking time out of your schedule to help him out! You are a stellar guy!!!!!
Andy passes the vibe check for sure. Cool of you and the Trooper to help out. The Altoz looks sorta interesting. At least Andy took ya seriously even if the others didnt realize what they were missing.
I'm sure the sight of a state trooper and you coming to help was a welcome sight. My buddies and I were driving to lacrosse practice in college when we saw a mom with a car full of kids on the side of the road with a flat. We pulled up behind, piled out like a clown car, and the look on her face was full of horror. We didn't ask, just opened up the hatch, grabbed the jack, tire, and got to work. She was on the road in less than 10 minutes and at the end her face turned to joy! Coach wasn't happy we were late to practice, but that changed when we told him why. Nice work! Looking forward to the next video on the Altoz.
That was a great video . To see the Trooper getting down to business with changing the wheel was so heartening . What a great fellow . And for you to help , great . I love to see the real man aspect of your videos. The patience you had trying to get the demo arranged . No jumping up and down , just persevering until your goal was reached . In the end of course , the company benefits from the video , so that’s great too .
I’m sure you’ve seen the Freeway Incident Response Safety Teams (FIRST) trucks rolling around. They will help someone change a tire, get them gas so they can get off the highway, etc. Patrol will generally help if there isn’t a higher priority call somewhere nearby, but frankly, the biggest issue is safety, since many break down in the traffic lane. It’d be nice if the metro staffed appropriately for the call loads, so more officers were able to help out with these issues. Too many people are struck on the side of the road trying to fix their vehicles. Move over law isn’t just for squads and tow trucks! Glad 110/62 had a nice grassy median there for her to park on.
Great video @Stan!! Hate that I missed you this past GIE.. it’s always great to see you. Awesome of you to stop and help that trooper. As a prior law enforcement officer of 23+ years myself.. it was mandatory my whole career as just either a deputy or Chief of Police, to stop and help ANYONE broke down. If we were caught driving by someone broke down and not stopping in my early career to help them, we were reprimanded heavily. Lol.. So later in my career, that just carried with me. It’s just common curtesy!! As for you FINALLY getting to do a video on these Altoz mowers… a huge thank you to not only you for your persistence.. but to Andy for finally making it happen. These mowers in person are in a class of their own in my opinion.. I love everything about them when I get to see them at GIE.. But just riding them there on flat grass doesn’t give the full effect. I wish we had a dealer in my area in South Central KY. I’d seriously consider buying one!! Can’t wait for the next video brother!! Thanks a ton for doing what you do to show us what you can!! Stay blessed brother!!
I've wanted to demo an altoz mower for a long time! We mow alot of hills around here and I think they would be great! Keep up the great work! Have an awesome weekend!
6:50 That kind of jack is best used under the suspension arm of the wheel itself, that way, the jack doesn't have to overcome the suspension sag because the suspension is literally sitting on the jack...
I mean unless it's a really big mechanics floor jack or possibly a hydraulic bottle jack you want to get underneath what that tire is attached to well actually what the axle that the tire is attached to
That is nice of the trooper to help out changing the ladies tire, wonder if that is policy now since he had a small jack. Those DOT safety seminars are very cool, I think you will like it
Those look awesome, and a D.O.T guide would be nice for those who are unfamiliar with requirements when hooking up trailers, and especially what can legally be hauled on particular trailers. I have found many people around where I operate, pulling equipment on trailers that far exceed what the trailers are rated. But never the less, great video and cant wait for the next video. Stay safe and stay warm.
For a company to blow off a potential costumer for years, and only agree to do a demo after they realize they’ll get exposure(free advertising) is unacceptable!
I was just going to say something like this. I can understand them not wanting to waste their time with someone like me but a simple check and a question or 2 would have netted them some good will 4 years ago. I don't like elitist companies that think they are too good for the common consumer.
I disagree. Why would they just give it to a random person? They didn't know what they didn't know. And even at that just having a following doesn't entitle you to something if the company doesn't want to. It's why often times a RU-vidrs won't even accept or review free stuff only items they buy themselves.
It is hard to believe a major US company could be that clueless. Even if you don't have a marketing department, management doesn't know the industry? Just unbelievable. Similar to SCAG several years ago which is still amazing.
Mad props to this officer, this can’t be his first time ever helping someone with a flat tire to actually have a Harbor freight jack in the back of his cruiser tells us that. He definitely deserves a pat or two on his back from his office. God Bless him and Dirt Monkey.
I was told by my dept that I might lose my job if i did this, they were so concerned about liability that I was literally not allowed to touch folks' broken down vehicles. I snuck in one or two for the elderly and single moms but dang, that was a shi**y rule.
Am glad the chanced came to do a demo on these mowers. They look good and seems to have worked good too. Waiting on the follow-up vid on these models. That guy Andy seemed to know his stuff on these rigs. Thanks 4 getting this done.
Growing up my dad was a service manager for a bobcat dealership. The 873 was my introduction into operating equipment. Now I run all sorts of loaders and dozers.
I'm in Sweden and that warranty police has never been applied to anything I've ever purchased. Every single item with a warranty I have bought starts at the moment the purchase it registered.
@@jirifrybort5877 Some are only 12 months. Computer hardware though can have varying warranties. Hardrives are usually 4 years, Power Supplies can be 10+ years.
Same thing with the UK, its done from the moment of sale or delivery if they are different times, and don't forget we have consumer law that has an expectation of life of a product so even if its put of warranty it might still have to be repaired or replaced at the manufacturers cost
Besides the danger to anyone changing a tire or working in vehicle in or near the roadway (civilian, roadside assistance, or police officer, it sucks for any and all when things go south), the worst part of assisting someone roadside for me is that our “working” uniforms are not really conducive to working! In my state our uniform is far from gaudy, but it is still damn uncomfortable to do anything physical in. Most police have a duty to assist roadside if they can, so I normally would not be impressed by this, but the longer I have been on the more often I see people blowing this off. In that respect I can commend that Trooper and also am impressed he had that Jack with him. For everyone that sees this video, pay attention when driving, give a wide berth to disabled vehicles, you never know when someone will pop out from beside or underneath them and into the roadway a bit. When I was only a couple years into the job, a kid was changing his tire on a north to south running county two lane road. Flat occurred as he was southbound just beyond a blind spot. It was around 5:39 to 6:00 am, early worker hours and he was struck and killed by a delivery van who was traveling at the legal speed limit of 55 but due to lack of line of sight, that disabled vehicle came up out of nowhere to him around that turn. I guess one more rule of thumb, even if you want to change it yourself, get your butt out of the roadway, call 911 to get a car there at the very least to pop some flares and have lights to wake up the phone zombies (I am as guilty of that as anyone else, I am sure 95 percent of us could do better at driving with less distraction). You are probably going to be late to where you were going anyway, so it is better to arrive late than never at all. Thanks for highlighting that Stan
@Patrick, I was on way back from rifle range Wednesday, was 91 and humid. I saw a disabled vehicle while en route to my barracks to shower and change into regular uniform (rifle range they actually let us dress in BDU pants, body armor and tee or sweat shirts depending on the weather,, pistol and shotgun range is regular class A uniform). I was super happy that I was wearing my already drenched range clothes as I lost even more sweat changing her tire. Was so dehydrated my right forearm Charlie horses twice while Turing the handle on the scissor Jack. Felt good to help her, but I really would have looked like a bag of shot doing it in my regular uniform. This woman was from Ohio, her and her husband bought a pathfinder for their son at an auction. She was on her way to see him and deliver his new used wheels when she got off I90 and traveled Route 20 cause she heard an odd rumble. Her tire blew out on 20 in our patrol area. And you are right that would have been even worse in the winter. A smarter guy than me at work picked up a small gas can for emergencies like you carry, so if we catch the eventual run out of gas call, we can hep out and have em on their way a bit quicker. With covid changes their are fewer options for fuel and the possibility of purchasing a gas can if necessary as well.

It's better to get someone off the road and out of the way, the less time they are there, the safer it is, especially on an interstate. People don't pay attention and speed. It's super dangerous.
Great video, that's a pretty cool mower for slopes and rough areas. I got to demo a TRX 52 pro last summer, it's a remote control mower for slopes or areas a rider could fall off the machine. You should check them out, they have videos on RU-vid.
Andy is going to need to add another shift to keep up with demand. He needs to wake his marketing department up to the value of demonstrations by your channel. They thought of every use in design. Get a promo code to track referral sales. After 10 he should be a sponsor. Raffle each year and fund the new models. Rinse and repeat.
I just have to say that this act of kindness from the officer and of course you Stan is what our communities and people need to see!!! You didn't have to stop but you did,and the officer was not obligated to help either. He could have easily said I'll call you a tow truck!! These small acts of kindness go way further than we think... Plus your display of kindness will have a snowball effect and it will continue through people long after we continue on with our lives... So a big thank you to you Stan and also to the officer for going above and beyond!!!! Scott from Pennsylvania
Weird, my backwards blue state still encourages it. Am glad there is at least one positive I can say about our LE here (I am employed as a member as well so do not take this as me hating on cops, just glad to see our state still has policies which generally benefit the public without cowering to the fear of liability).
Too bad they dont have policy preventing LEO's from violating peoples rights.....considering all the lawsuits against cops taxpayers have to pay for....
This guy has a hell of a heart! I wish I could go back in time and work for someone like this! I’m 40yrs old was a landscaping foreman for 5 years professionaly, learning and working 10yrs combined. This is the most heart in the business attention to detail, do it right the first time guy!!! On top of everything the reviews that are real world put to the test without holding back opinions. The only person worthy to compare to is projectfarm. But he doesn’t do landscaping!
I bought a track Altoz 2 years ago and love it!!! However, just a heads up. I also own a Bad Boy Mower, my thought was to sell the Bad Boy and just keep the track Altoz. But after a few weeks, I discovered that they are entirely two different machines and I kept them both. I have 40 acres and I maintain about a 5 acre yard, plus pond bank and county road bank. I haven’t found a smoother ride than the Bad Boy for yard mowing. But the track Altoz shines when I mow the pond banks and county road side banks along my property. The Altoz is basically a mini brush hog. The two blades are like a brush hog mower, they sling out and if you can run over it, it will mow it!!! I now use it to maintain some wooded areas that use to be all brush. I had a forestry mulched come through and cut down the bigger stuff and now I use the Altoz to maintain it. It is a beast and an awesome machine!!
Those mowers are awesome might need to show this to the person that buys equipment at my work these would be perfect for some of the spots the we need to mowed at my work
That "European warranty" thing sounds like BS.I live in EU and it would be against consumers rights.I think it's a problem with dealer/factory agreement, some products may be treated as "sold" the day they leave factory.
Was about to comment on this myself but you beat me to it lol We have the same 2 year or 300hrs standard warranty from time of purchase of the machine. Parts AND labour are covered if you buy from official dealers, Plus the usual extended warranty. Just like buying a new car pretty much
I'm the same. Live in the EU. I was going to write similar about the warranty. What was mentioned in the video about european warranty seems to be "Fake news". As above - Europeans have consumer rights. Although I'm not sure what the story is with Americans importing European goods. It stands to reason that if there is not a dealer network set up for that particular product in America, then any unauthorised dealer would be considered a consumer in Europe and the warranty would start from time of purchase, however I'm not sure if that is the actual case.
Ye that sounds like BS Live in Sweden and all products have 1 - 3 Years store warranty depend on products. It's regulated by law. And sometimes certain products have even more years or like some tools whit lifetime warranty
Yeap complete BS the European warranties are very protective to the consumer. If it's a design issue and it's proved they have to replace outside warranty
Y’all are aware that it’s differently done here? We get screwed by Europe just like Europe gets screwed by us. That’s why we partly why we refuse to buy European cars unless they are assembled here, not just cause of the emissions and safety difference.
never have I ever seen a chp (california highway patrol) changing a tire.... glad you guys helped her since she was in a very dangerous spot in that road
I knew where you were at as soon as you pulled into the driveway of the house, I helped setup a big Army tent back in the park. And then we ran about a yard of pit run gravel though a high banker looking for gold. Yes we found some, not much. Andy dad is a great guy
I greatly enjoy your videos! I have learned a great deal about trailer safety. I was doing almost everything wrong for years. Thanks to you, I am doing things right. I noticed that your new utility trailer has a pintle hitch. Could you do a video on the pros and cons of pintle versus ball hitch? I have asked several dealers but the sales persons I have asked, know nothing about trailers. They only know what is in the marketing brochures. Again, thank you for your informative videos.
here is the simple answer- a pintle hitch allows you a fast and easy visual inspection to ensure your trailer is properly connected. I never fully trust a ball hitch. With a pintle I can look down and see its latched and locked.
Well done, both of you. I've seen and heard of police helping people in many ways. I know someone who worked law enforcement for nearly 40 years and he said that doing things like that is why he still works. Just think, Democrats want to get rid of law enforcement.
Big respect sir for stopping to actually help. Too many times in this sorry society we live in people always want to cast LEO in a negative light instead of actually just asking if you can help or saying thank you.
Onve again you exhibit integrity! Thay is the main reason that I am committed to supporting thid channel. Aby man with integrity nowadays gets whatever i can do to support them! which admittedly isn't enough p.s. Its been snowing hear very steady all day long! jump in a truck and let er' buck!
Thanks Andy, And I Cannot Wait for the next video to come out Stan. Thank You for the always great content. I just had my 1st cataract surgery so i can see things alot less blurry now.
Nice mowers I liked the 1st look at them.! Look forward to seeing the difference between these few comp compared to the Cub Cadet type of mowers with the steering wheel, double wheels, & the 96 inch deck!
That is exactly why I carry 3 different sized jacks. Bottle jack, high lift floor jack, and a high lift bumper jack. And some assorted pieces of lumber.
Just found your channel today. I know nothing about anything you are doing, haha, but am enjoying your content nonetheless! That was great of you to stop and help the Trooper change that lady's tire. I am somewhat recently disabled, and though I know how to do it, and have done it a few times by myself, I'd be totally screwed if it were to happen to me these days (spine/spinal cord injury). I do have some mobility and can drive and thankfully, even walk (with assistance) but I sure as hell couldn't change a tire if my life depended on it. It's good to know there are good people out there that stop to help simply because they can.
This was a very very nice thing a random stranger did for random cop. I have not finished the video yet, but I sure hope that cop gave him some gratitude that was a hell of a thing for that citizen to do
I love the Veteran Park on Andy's family property (as I am a Vietnam Veteran) a big thanks to the Michigan State Trooper for helping the stranded motorist and having a jack in his Patrol Car, I use to carry one myself (I was a Deputy Sheriff as well) Great Videos you produce, keep up the great work.
