My first car was a 1966 Mustang GT fastback which was purchased for $1800 back in 1986, by my father, for me. The old man who sold it had three old Mustangs in his barn and one was a 64 and a half black with gold stripes, which he wouldn't part with. It only had 56,000 miles on it...It was a gorgeous Turquoise with the pony interior in white and turquoise and had the rally pack on the steering column. Every time I see a classic Mustang on Mecum Auctions on TV go for 50k+ it kills me...

My first car a 1993 Ford Taurus GL sedan with a fuel injected 3.8L V6 with AXOD transmission color Medium Royal Blue Metallic i still drive the car bought it off my great aunt for $800 when i was 18yrs old in 2010 before i had my drivers licence. with just over 60 thousand miles on it.. now it just has over 90, thousand miles on it. love my car since it has family history i grew up riding in it even though it was bought as a left over 93 model in 1994 by my great aunt. and then the car was used to haul around family members for 16 years of its life while i was growing up then i got it when it was 17 years old .. i love my car its the car in my profile picture and i love Ford it took me years to pass the parallel parking test i believe it was the old grumpy guy who was working at the DMV that just didn't want to pass me from 16 yrs old to 18 yrs old so i gave up till i was 25 years old when i learned the old man had retired an a younger guy around my age had taken up doing the ride along on the driving tests and took my driving test in my 1993 Ford Taurus GL last year and finally got my licence after years of trying i don't even understand why i need to know how to parallel park i live on a damn mountain for crying out loud no curbs on a dirt road that i live on

In 1970 I was working at Gates Rubber Corporation.And after only 3 weeks, I was able to buy my first car. I was 17 and wanted the best car I could get for my $150. She was a White with Red Interior '61 Chevy Impala Super Coupe (Bubble Top). Only had a 283 V8 with 2 BBL and 2 speed powerglide. I sold it for $200 to my best friend in 1974. Only if I win the lottery will I be able to get another one like her.

I just discovered your vids!! And my first car was a '76 Chevy Malibu and I put that car through hell! I would race it on our main strip and then I threw a rod and destroyed number 4 cylinder. I then bought a '71 cutlass and managed to break it drag racing also and then on to a '72 Ford Maverick with a 302 and was slowly turning into a drag car and my mom made me sell it and I was never able to blow that motor....I tried LOL

1973 Chrysler Newport, for $300. AKA "The Enterprise". If I live to be 100, it'll always be my favourite car. I guess your "first" always is.

1977 Chevy Chevette 2 door hatch back 4 cylinder stick shift, paid 950.00. It passed away in 1986 with 113,000 miles due to major valve problem. It was my pride and joy at the time but looking back it was a piece of junk.

My first car was a red 1970 Dodge Charger that I bought with my own money for $500 back in 1978. Wish I still had that mean machine.......Being from NYC, parallel parking was a necessity.

I wish you luck with your first car. You will have life long memories from it so enjoy it and take care of it. Of course, using your own money will help you appreciate it more.

One thing about it, you can always make cars go faster...just take a little money!

2.5 sti swap. or a slighty bigger turbo if a budget. might car mod's did it and then bigger exhuast since you have a turbo do a cold air intake, also get a tune
@Joey_Bananas
@Joey_Bananas 10 лет назад
The XS isn't the turbo model, thats the problem, they did it with the XT i believe with Moog's Subaru. I don't think it'd be very cost efficient to do work to the current engine in my XS unless anyone has any suggestions. I think the best possible way would probably be the STI swap. I was looking at just a few to get a price estimate and i saw a bunch of different engines but im assuming for a STI engine that would fit to my car would run probs between $6,000-$8,000ish.
