I was hesitant about the show since I loved the movie and shows based on movies don't have a great track record. Then I found out my boy Matt Berry was in it. I jumped in and haven't regretted it. I love both seasons and might actually enjoy the show more than the movie. I love the cameos. I love Guillermo. I love the house. Great review.
The last time I liked all main characters of one show was Seinfeld. Each character could star in their own show, which speaks volume of how good it is, but together they're perfect
Such a funny show, I’ve enjoyed 1 & 2 more than the original film. The characters are so, so funny. I loved the episode where Blade was video conferenced in and didn’t have a clue what was going on. Great show my favourite is Nanja.
I saw Nadja's actress on a UK game show recently, was so bizarre hearing her natural accent- I mean I knew she was playing a character but...I forgot somewhere along the line. Also you've probably been told but your editing and presentation is excellent, more impressive than any vampire power
Amazing breakdown and I never really thought mockumentaries could be this good. Its a wickedly funny/smart show filmed all around my neighborhood and other spots that are very familiar in Toronto. Every character is so well cast and the staying power is huge (2025 just approved) not to mention the growing cast of well known drop-ins. The original meeting of the Vampire Council and all the "famous" vampires of modern pop culture showing up was genius...give it a shot if you haven't, you won't be disappointed and its definitely something different.
I normally HATE comedies, I just can’t handle cringey tv, but this is one of my favourite shows, and as a goth subculture lover it’s just so easy to love for the aesthetics alongside how funny it is. Nadja is my fave, immediately followed by Colin Robinson.
Initially i thought Colin, the energy vampire, was just an ordinary person (which was funny on its own), but then I rewatched on DVD and realized that his eyes glow whenever he feeds. Also in his epic standoff with a _special kind of vampire_ he does demonstrate powers that seem to confirm he is a supernatural entity. I really liked the changes to _one character in particular_ after the "23 and me" parody episode. I am really looking forward to how that character's arc unfolds.
Great video and love your passion for the show. The 3 main characters are all played by Brits. Nandor is played by Kayvan Novak...hes in a British dark comedy called Four Lions...i highly recommend it to you...i think youll love it
I created a Nandor the Relentless character in Red Dead Redemption Online. It actually looks just like him. He just needs some puffy shirts and a fur-lined cloak, etc.
This is a great review. So I helped on some of the OG content for the show. It was based on a group of actors in portland where these things really happened! I’m sharing a bit about it over in my world for those interested. The Lychenwolf+Vampire Accords did occur on a skyscraper rooftop at midnight! And it was hilarious. Back then there was an acting troop that hosted live events around Portland. Some of them worked on the events in 6teen too which is about those people as teens at Lloyd Center mall in the 90’s. Not many knew it was based on real events. Also me & Naja were responsible for the Bloody Mary chain mail… half of Portland got those back then & it was all cuz we saw an episode of Supernatural. The actors for the show on tv did so great recreating it all. Lots of good memories there. Those people worked so hard for that content too so give the actors irl & on the show a big hand. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Ok I saw your video about this show a couple weeks ago and it inspired me to give it a try and man o man am I glad I did. I'm two episodes into the 2nd season already and this is by far one of the best shows in recent years. The dynamic between the characters is great. I love the cameos from different actors. I found it hilarious to see Tilda Swinton, Paul Reubens, Evan Rachel Wood all into same episode and Paul Reubens is wearing the same makeup and hair he wore in the Buffy The Vampire Slayer movie. The show is just... awesome!

Loved the movie and was worried when I heard about the TV adaptation but as it turns out they did an absolutely amazing job. I hope they keep making more.
Actually Colin Robinson does have abilities it just depends on how much life force he drains from people. For instance he can transform into a gecko, he doesn't age, has super strength, he can float/fly, drink with his mind, and duplicate himself.
i agree more ppl need to watch this. I accidently found this show about a week ago. binged it like 3x allready, still cracks me up every time. All episodes are good to excellent and there is not a single character that I don't like. Highly recommended
