ArmindaHeart right?! Lol how do they prepare food for THEIR family? She’s not cooking for a public restaurant but even those chefs use their hands! People just like to complain about everything it’s annoying
I can’t lie when I handle meat I typically use gloves just because it grosses me out but I mean the whole bread thing like dough? Why wouldn’t u use ur hands!
You're an amazing women! I'm old enough to be your momma and have raised 8 children and you remind me of our busy household. I loved cooking everything from scratch. I'm good with using hands. Keep inspiring us. The world could use some more mommas like you.
It all looks so delicious! Also that’s so funny that people will say anything about you using your hands to cook with. They must not do a lot of home cooking because your hands are like necessary for half of what you do! 😂🤦🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
I was just about to say the same thing! What else are you going to use? Lol homecooking requires you to touch the ingredients and good for you involving the kids!
I thought the same thing! How can a person cook without using their hands? If people are worried about germs, they needn't be. Germs will cook/bake out, and also we all share germs within our families anyway. Simple hand washing before cooking does the trick.
I love these vids. Nothing staged, just real life and we get to see your kids be “sneaky” and regular kids. Perfect vids to enjoy during my morning coffee. ❤️
I love these what you eat in a week videos! They're so inspiring! I don't enjoy cooking, but having a warm dinner served is important to my husband, so I'm working at getting g better at that. I love how effortlessly you throw together meals!
This is SO helpful! I absolutely love seeing how you use leftovers and prep for the next day. Thank you times a million for sharing. PLEASE make more! 😍
I'm confused about hand criticism.serious, how else does one cook from scratch without using the hands? are they harping about not using gloves or something?
Prob green earth people too, they were the first to force tampon cardboard straws and reusable bags then when covid his forced everyone to use disposable masks and gloves multiple times a day, ppe, disposable bags, disposable cups, disposable straws
These type of videos are my favourite. I find your recipes and meals incredibly inspiring. In early autumn you inspired me to make my own sourdough starter and now I cannot live without it. My boyfriend and I particularly enjoy the garlic bread "recipe" because it's so simple and delicious. At Christmas type I flew some of my starter to my parents in Germany and they now use it regularly. So you completely transformed two household ways of cooking. btw absolute favourite of everyone still is sourdough cinnamon buns x
Thanks for the ideas for meals. I like to try to get more than one dish out of a meal to make something else too. This is probably how they used to cook. You couldn't run to the store to get something for supper, so you used what you have. God bless
Ahhhhhh, several times your baby's little bottom was inches from the flame on your stove! I also have a gas stove and it is quite hot for me to be near those flames. Your recipes look delicious. Just being a worried mama...
I really like this video. I like how you utilize leftovers to stretch the food. If you title your next video with "no waste meal plan" or "low waste" it would get lots of views I think. I know that I am more interested in practical meal planning than having 7 delicious recipes with tons of random leftover ingredients at the end of the week.
I'm new to your channel and I absolutely love it. Thanks for sharing this cooking video. And yes...I would love to see more of this kind of content. I'm a work from home mom and I'm always looking for new things to cook and bake. Loved it!
This was the most peaceful and inspiring cooking video I’ve ever watched! Your home and kitchen is beautiful😍🥰 will definitely be trying that skillet chicken pot pie!
YES! I love them! I love watching you and the only thing we have in common is 6 kids, my baby days are long gone as my kids are all adults now. You are an omnivore and I am whole foods plant based (vegan). That does not mean I don't love your videos! Right now I have only watched the cooking ones, but I plan on watching the others soon.
I just want to say that as an Indigenous woman from northern Ontario Canada, I simply love that you did a recipe for deer stew. Miigwech which means thank you in Ojibwe.
Hello to my neighbour to the East ; I am a farm girl from Manitoba’s beautiful Swan River Valley . We have many First Nations people in our parts ; deer is an important meat but especially elk and moose . 😊👍😊
This was a great video for a hundred reasons. I can't pick out which one so I'll leave it at that. I'll share this with my daughter because she has three little girls and she doesn't like to cook even though they have plenty.. Myself, I love love love love everything about your video I am a cook in my heart
I also use my hands....it is just easier. And if anyone had actually cooked often, they would know that. Even the big chefs on T.V. put things on the plate with their hands! They are your family, not some stranger eating the food. Regardless, yes on more of these videos. I love them!! Thanks Lisa!
I can’t imagine what Thanksgiving is like! I bet it’s wonderful! I love the way you cook. It’s so healthy. I used to cook like this when I was single but my boyfriend is so picky. It’s difficult, I usually have to make two meals. He tends to lean toward things that are extremely processed.
I really loved this video ❤️ Please do more of them, they are so fun and very inspiring! I am considering buying some cast iron skillets and am very interested in watching you using them. And your new kitchen looks a dream!! ❤️☺️♥️
I know you're enjoying that beautiful "new" kitchen! And that island table is the stuff dreams are made of! Julia Child used to talk about using her "impeccably clean hands". Best ten tools in the kitchen!
This video reminded me of my mom growing up, she had 7 kids and all my memories of her are with her always in the kitchen. . . New subscriber here!! I am from KS and gotta love and support you since you are from Missouri! By the way the best flavored food comes when you use your hands. It is made with love. I am Mexican, so we eat a LOT with our hands, idk what it is but the food is so much flavorful! God bless you and your family, you are such a great young mom
This is my absolute favorite series that you do! I love how simple yet delicious everything is, but you do have a plan and you’re prepared and I think that’s awesome! Love your channel Lisa!
For the people complaining about using your hands and not using gloves .....gloves don't break down and are bad for the environment. Stop being a bunch of babies and wash your hands after you cook. Dear Lord..
I ADORE the baby slings! I used them with both of my boys ( now in their 20's). Mine was a bit different, but held my sweet safe and close. I don't know how Mothers/Fathers survive without them! They made SUCH a wonderful difference in my life! What a lucky family!!! Enjoy!!!
As a nurse, I am not comfortable seeing the baby between you and the hot flames of your stove. I can't bare to watch your videos and they seem so interesting.
Me too! Her baby is in front of her closer to the stove and open oven than she is. And pouring that scalding hot liquid so close to the baby was horrifying. It could have splashed on the baby. They are called accidents for a reason. You never think they'll happen. Hard to watch.
Omg scared me when i saw her spill the boiling water! The baby! Omg! Sorry yall! I saw my 3 yr old cousin get burn with boiling hot cup of tea left on the table and it makes me jump Everytime i see kids in the kitchen! He got severe burns! But he is big now and ok!
Same situation! My cousins baby and a baby I nammied for were severely burnt by hot liquids. I'm an attachment parent (wear my babies pretty much non stop, etc) and I have only cooked wearing a baby a handful of times, and felt panicked the entire process! So scary!
Okay. Hate to pile on but was so distracted by her cooking with the baby. When I was a young mom 33 years ago and had my newborn daughter in my arms sound asleep while I took a batch of cookies out of the oven. She startled and kicked her leg out and hit the pan. I was devastated. She had barely a mark and was fine but I was inconsolable. Stayed with me all these years.
No way would I have a baby or young kids near a cooking stove. I came from a huge family and no babies or young kids was ever aloud by cooking stove. If I had to do that no food would be served at my house.
@@Tootsie55 i kinda agree and disagree with you. I do get jumpi with kids around. But they do have to learn their way around the kitchen too! Of course with adult supervision! But accidents happen in just a blink of an eye! That you just cant prevent it! And all we could do is leave things in God's hands and if thats the way he wants it well nothing we can do! Thank you for expressing and your opinion!
@@paigenich2335 i dont have kids because of ovarian Cancer i cant!but if i ever do become one i think ill be so attached like you but would totally freak out wearing him! While cooking! Until i learn how to! Lol! In my fam country guatemala they hang their babys in their backs and work hard in the fields with them!
Love this so much! I have a sourdough starter I just need to get used to using it for meals instead of just bread. I am also interested in switching to einkorn but don’t have a clue about how to. 🤪
I absolutely adore the total chaos that this video is haha! You're amazing mama! Everything looks so wonderful, healthy, filling and made with love, and the fact that you can do this for your whole family like this is just inspiring. You rock!
How do you cook with babies running around? I struggle so much with not getting overwhelmed while I’m trying to cook/things are burning, kids are crying, etc🤪 You always seem so calm and peaceful in the kitchen! Haha
You’ve inspired me to re-think how I’ve made stuffed bell peppers. Hey my guess as to why the Paw Patrol guy is on your kitchen counter...ready for action when all those torts are cooking and set the off the smoke alarm. (Couldn’t resist!) Lol
This is the first video I am watching of yours and WHAT IN THE WORLD.. r u super woman? Everything completely homemade every night with so many kids .. I feel super lazy lol.. new sub here!!!
There will always be critics.Keep helping us learn to cook from scratch it’s saving us so much from eating out .Your really are a wonderful teacher of homeeconomics
I love how your sweet little peanut is often along for the ride. ❤️ We love a lot of garlic too. It’s full of flavor & it has great health benefits too! Love this vid. 👍🏻
What is wrong with preparing food using bare hands..? Don’t chefs and cooks do that too..?! Gordon Ramsey and especially Jamie Oliver, use their bare hands all the time, so that they can feel their cooking.
I just started following you, and I am loving all of your videos!! You give me so many great ideas of good healthy foods to cook for a little more variety!! I’m a stay at home mom of three, five and under, so I cook homemade meals just about every day. I know these meals are things both my kids and my husband will love. Thanks for sharing!!
Ha, love the paw patrol on the counter. I can totally relate since my 4 year old loves them. Everything looked super yummy, more videos like these please!!🤗
These are all great dinner ideas. I love that you use the chicken bones for broth as well! My mom always did that and now running my own home, I do as well.
Girl! You go ahead and use them hand! Its the tools god gave you!! Its your family! I use them everytime! I just wish someone to say something to me! I swear u u will starve! Lol
I really loved that you tied your baby to you so that you are always available for that cutiee and the warmth and skin contact is constant! It's such safe environment for the baby than alone laying flat In the crib or stroller or car chair 🤗😘 This is my first video of yours but you must be an amazing mom!😘🤗💚❤️💜💙💛🧡
Fabulous real cooking! But do please look up articles of babies getting severely harmed in the kitchen while wearing. I am sure you are a fabulous mother. Just so very dangerous.
@@Calilovelina I don't personally cook with my baby in a sling. But I will clean and make like bread dough or something. I guess this mama just has the experience to feel confident doing it. I agree with you, though. I'd be way too nervous.
Little man is going to be a Chef watching his mom do all this cooking. Thought it was so cute seeing the scavengers show up around the island stealing bits of goodies. You guys really do like sweet potatoes 🍠. Could you ever substitute regular potatoes for the sweet and still get a good flavor cause I’m not a big sweet potato fan, just wondering? Really do like these videos.
Lisa you are amazing!!!! If every kid grew up like your kids we would have heaven on earth. You are an Angel😇to me. Your willpower, love and knowledge is stunning!!! You are a perfekt mother. Like in my childhood books🙏
Completely enjoyed this video. You keep cooking and we’ll keep watching! Your baby carried like that is the sweetest thing ever! Thank you for sharing!
I really enjoyed this Video. But I would really like A in-depth Tutorial on using the Eimcorn flour (sp) . It’s the only flour that my Doctor says I can have. And after watching other videos I’m just afraid to attempt it because it seems so different than making other breads I am used to. And it is quite expensive and I don’t want to waste it. Can you help?
