Make sure to order the regular recipes & not the pure. Unless they have allergies... then pure is not your best option ( Because you would need to buy the additional supplements for their specific dietary needs. And different ones for both the dog & the cat). With Viva Raws regular recipes, all of those nutrients are already added for you ❤

my grandpa explained to me when i was a kid that it is supremly important feeding your dog well. it is not a slave it is a trusted companion it is work relationship we feed them with food and give them shelter and care they repay us by stay on guard in the night we are their managers they are our workforce treat well your workforce and you can rest easy in the night that the foxes will never come near your chickens he never punished the dogs for barking at wild animals at night and when we found signs of fight in the mornig he was adamant in giving cuddles and extra rations the dogs could be a little wild with everyone else but when my grandpa called or whistled they run like demons and remain laser focused on whatever he said or did
A pure meat diet isn't good, even for "carnivore" (not really) animals. Keep in mind that they live very short lives in nature and they die of kidney failure frequently.
Just an FYI I saw a recall on Viva raw dog food due to listeria today (7/4/2024) they only pictured the turkey but when I Googled it others were included
I cook for my poultry and waterfowl. Cooking and soaking the grains, assists in breaking it down for easier digestion & makes the absorption of nutrients more complete.
I’ve fed my dogs raw food for 40 years, in fact it’s almost the same diet your dogs have but I give more veg and a daily serving of organic coconut oil, salmon oil and organic turmeric. It’s a great diet isn’t it, my dogs have always lived way beyond their allotted years and have been super healthy
Some people think dogs are carnivores, all cats are carnivores , but dogs are really omnivorous, this diet is absolutely PERFECT. The only thing is , is if you’re using canned sardines they can be high in salt, I’d use fresh instead. Dogs , like bears, enjoy the same variety of foods..meat, fish,berries and veg.
I enjoyed that video. Do you get that recipe from vets? Do the LBGs ever get nosey about each others dishes or do you supervise where they eat. Big question, where do you feed Luna and what does she eat? She looked pretty interested
The LGD are fine eating spaced out from each other. They respect each others space. Luna eats inside. She gets fancy feast wet food and temptations dry cat food and the treats. And she likes the Solid Gold Sea Meal squeeze. I realized after I ordered that Viva Raw also has cat food so I need to try the Viva Raw cat food with her. I bet she would love it
Raw is the healthiest diet. I feed my dachshunds raw, my cat also nibbles on the raw, and my GSD has moistened kibble with raw. About 50/50 mix for just because of the cost of straight raw. So many benefits of raw. I need to check out the Viva raw. Thanks for sharing
Raw is great. I may switch my cats to raw homemade, but I need to stock up on all the additional vitamin supplements so that they aren't lacking the necessary nutrients

This reminded me when i lived in England ( London)i Gsd&he was very picky& spoilt..(My mom being Irish woukd ferd him all manner of stuff) and then when lived with my Sister&she had 3 Beautiful long haired GSd..And this was hos it was done,tje Health Science diet food&u would mix some goodies in to keep them interested!

Those dogs deserve the best food and kibble. I love their diet the Viva Raw, awesome, with a great range of raw meats including the beets n blueberries, sardines. Quail eggs and raw turkey feet. I m assuming that they get most of their high protein, once a day with little sources of treats from time to time. What do you feed Luna? Luna gets fancy feast wet food and temptations dry cat food and treats. I didn’t realize Viva raw has raw cat food so I need to try that w her. She usually get some sardines w they dogs so she was there for the sardine too 😂
@@raventreeranch If you want to continue the lovely Luna on kibble and wet food I highly recommend Tikicat. They have multiple high quality wet recipes and high quality kibble including outdoor cat kibble. My two Torties have been on it their whole lives and they’re super healthy and soft and scream for it every meal 😂

@@emberkai1693 I have heard of Tikicat. I know it is a good company. Another company I liked for my cat who passed this year at age ( Pia), 22 years, was Wellness. Fancy Feast and Science Diet dry, also. I roasted chicken breast as well. She loved that chicken breast the most; cooked and raw. The vets were impressed with how well she was cared for. A “Super Super Senior”.
They need bigger bowls so it doesn't spill (I do too!). We stick to fish for our animal protein, with the occasional egg. My previous dog was vegan for a year while I went vegan too, but we went back to vegetarian later. My current service (seizure) dog gets Lotus baked kibble without grains (turkey, duck, and lamb formulas), along with fish soup, which is fresh fish simmered in water with tumeric-ginger-garlic, minced parsley and cilantro added after heat turned off. I also make a slurry: finely chopped kale simmered, with ground nuts and seeds added after heat turned off: coconut, sunflower, pumpkin, cashews, hemp, flax, etc., with Diametaceous Earth, Zeolite, seaweed meal, and dessicated liver powder added. That helps detoxify, and his coat gets so soft, eyes bright, and more energy - at 11+ still has puppy energy!
I'd love to do that.. The Viva Raw is just so expensive. For all three of my dogs, based off of feeding recommendations, it would be over $500 a month. 😥 I love them but I haven't won the lottery yet. I might use half kibble, half viva raw.

With feeding them quail eggs, did they naturally know not to eat the eggs of the chickens on the ranch, or is that something you have to train/reinforce?
Yeah idk where giant chicken feet come from since I’ve never seen chickens big enough to have feet that big. lol. But my Anatolian hates duck feet, which are oddly…. The same size as most of the chicken feet I give her.😂
