"The gunman who fired shots at former President Donald Trump in an assassination attempt at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, Saturday night has been identified by the FBI as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks. He was killed by a Secret Service sniper, officials said.
One audience member at the rally, Pennsylvania firefighter Corey Comperatore, was killed in the shooting, and two other men are in critical condition, officials said. A spokesperson for Allegheny General Hospital said the injured victims were stable, although still in critical condition, on Sunday night."

Has someone who was mercilessly bullied in a Christian school, my entire life, and was certainly a loner I would never think of hurting anyone that I went to school with even though they were horrendous to me every day. It wasn't until I was 39 that I had the courage to get a battery of test to find out why I was so hated as it turned out. I was diagnosed with nonverbal learning disorder the opposite of what Thomas had he was so smart so I can't figure out why he was bullied because, even the kids that weren't athletic looking that were really smart. We're really revered and respected, so I'm not sure what went wrong with this kid hard to believe that both of his parents were licensed counselors and they couldn't see a warning sign very strange.

I was mocked in high school, because I asked classmates what they thought about the passing of Chairman Mao and how things in Communist China could change. Throw in the fact that I was a rabid Republican who preferred Reagan to Ford. And, while boys wore flannel shirts, jeans, and sneakers, I wore Oxford shirts, the 1970s version of dockers, and loafers.

since PA is a closed primary, it was heavily pushed for Democrat supporters to register Republican to vote in their primaries in 2022 and 2024... and get the least electable candidates nominated. Its extremely likely this is why he was registered that way and hated Trumps so much.

Many 20 yr olds don't have a connection to the media. They don't stay on their phones all day because they have a life. This young man hardly had any friends from what I heard and honestly we know nothing about him except what you hear in the media. He was messed up and probably needed help. His parents definitely didn't see his problems or they didn't care. From what I hear he was bullied a lot in school which could have taken him down a path with revenge and hate.

If you want to present honest and thorough analysis you should note that PA is one of 9 states that require a person to be registered to a party in order to vote in that party's primary. In this, it is reasonable to conclude he was registered R to vote against Trump or others in a primary.

@misme5086 They do. I can confirm this, I have had plenty of friends tell me about this practice, and have asked me to participate in 2016 and 2020. Pennsylvania has a closed primary so only Republicans can vote in a Republican primary. So, if the left candidate is unopposed, many young "progressives" will register as Republicans to vote against the candidate most likely to win their state.
