The fact that only 13 riders finished in the MotoGP class was crazy! Super happy for Rins though :) Edit: My struggle of the weekend would be Alex Marquez. Puking in the helmet in the sprint followed by getting taken out by Jorge Martin. Poor guy.

@@KateMaAdams It was truely mad that only 13 people finished. I was glad that Brad picked up the bike and kept going. It was a brutal for AM73 too the whole puking in the helmet is not something I'd want to happen to my worst enemy

You have already seen my comment on your preview! But have to say again how eventful it was to watch as an Aprilia fan.

It was a good race. Rins winning is such a feel good moment not juts for him but for LCR and Honda too. Its been a long time between drinks and must have been quite brutal to see Alex Marquez leave and then immediately go so well on the Ducati. Rins winning will show the that there is light at the end of the tunnel!

good on Rins, the orange should get there after a bit of work in the shed , i'm not a fan of the sprint race , like a drag race imo

Rins was on fire all weekend an excellent job. I've been enjoying the sprints, particularly being able to watch them live without having to get up at 2 am!

Yamaha needs to find something from those inline 4s. Suzuki proved that inlines were competitive engine configurations by consecutively winning the last 2 races of the previous season. Its not Franco or Fabio or Rossi. Its just Yamaha.
@TheGravelTrap
@TheGravelTrap Год назад
Franco and Fabio have both said that the power is less of an issue this year, I think they've made some compromises and it's led to their struggles. That being said it is absolutely on Yamaha they need to sort themselves out!

Something that I heard and thought was interesting was according to Simon Patterson both espagaros and Raul Fernandez's crashes were caused by malfunctioning ride height devices. If that's true (and admittedly in aleix's case I'm not too sure it was the ride height device) could that explain Why vinales had such poor starts? Aprillias in general don't seem to be flying off the lights and if I remember correctly aleix had a few problems with ride height devices last season aswell as vinales having a failure with his in Germany. Either way it's a shame vinales had such a poor start as I really think he could have atleast challenged fabio for third.
@TheGravelTrap
@TheGravelTrap Год назад
It is possible but the same issue in both races? Plus with Maverick history of rubbishy starts I lean towards him screwing it up. If he could fix that one weakness he'd be a podium competitor much more often.

Enjoyed the video, thanks! Don’t agree with your comments on Augusto Fernandez at all. In no way is he under pressure. On the contrary, he is having a very solid rookie season. KTM have also said that they’ve made mistakes and need to give Augusto a fair chance. You might want to look across to another Fernandez to find a rider under pressure.
@TheGravelTrap
@TheGravelTrap Год назад
Glad you enjoyed! I hadn't thought about Raul Fernandez but I still get the feeling that unless Pol leaves/retires I think KTM are likely to bring Pedro in should he win the title, it would be rather sad for Augusto if they did.

Well, i would say the best option to replace Morbidelli would be Martin, but since i don't see him going to Yamaha, i think Lopez or even Arbolino going to Yamaha. Also, maybe Yamaha will need to find two riders
@TheGravelTrap
@TheGravelTrap Год назад
I thought of Alonso Lopez mainly because the last person who did as well as he has done on the boscoscuro was Fabio Quartararo so perhaps they have similar styles?
@dusancicovic5334
@dusancicovic5334 Год назад
@@TheGravelTrap I agree, he would be great, but i think Arbolino is better suited for MotoGP at this moment. It would be great to see Lopez with Fabio on that Yamaha
@TheGravelTrap
@TheGravelTrap Год назад
@@dusancicovic5334 Arbolino does right now seem more MotoGP material, although I believe he has been linked with a Ducati seat (Perhaps swap for Digia) and I feel as though he is more likely to end up there. Either way both future GP riders!
@dusancicovic5334
@dusancicovic5334 Год назад
@@TheGravelTrap I didn't know about Tony's ties with ducati. I like Digia, but he haven't shown enough in MotoGP and RFernandez too. They should be replaced. I expect Acosta, Arbolino, Lopez and maybe Ogura to be in MotoGP next year

Will be interesting to see how Fabio and Yamaha do in the next few races, because the next part of the season is where he performs best.

@TheGravelTrap Год назад
True, Jerez will hopefully go well for him. Although if it doesn't that might be the end for his confidence this season which would be quite sad.
