The resort is beautiful, but there certainly are some drawbacks and this may not be the Marriott Vacation Club property for everyone.

I stayed here with my daughter last week! We really liked it there. The location is great and the room was really nice!

The location is great. Though we prefer the villas at many of the other Orlando Marriott timeshare properties. We found the one at Harbour Lake ot be small. Thanks for watching!

We have two young children who love it here. We bought here originally because it's a family resort.

Thanks for watching. The water park splashpad and the other water features certainly are great for kids and I can see how a family with young children would love the resort. Perhaps if they added a third quiet pool it would be great for couples or older families too. Though there are other great resorts in Orlando that fit the bill. Thanks so much for watching!

@@hdrmobile6068 Not sure if you are referring to the remaining land where they were going to complete the buildout of the resort? Marriott Vacation Club tried to sell it off but the sale fell through. There is empty land over where building 11 was supposed to be. Right beside 12. They could add another pool there. Though that would probably mean a stiff hike in my annual fees that I pay since we own at Harbour Lake.

I find this not very accurate. Your room your choose was the smaller unit. The two bedroom in which get every time is huge. The pools are fantastic for kids. We never felt crowded. This resort is geared for kids which we have. We never had any problems with the parking or sidewalks. If you have kids this is a must!

While we were in a one bedroom unit, I am comparing the size of this one bedroom to other one bedroom villas we have stayed in and this is perhaps the smallest in the Marriott system. I have stayed in the two bedroom villas and would say the same. Though I certainly do agree, this is a resort for kids. They are certain to love the pirate ship pool and waterpark. @@DestinationTimeshare I know this sounds crazy but I feel we have met before at Oceana palms! We are owners there? Do you ever travel with your family. I do you like your videos but I have to say even as adults we love this place.

@@memeo407 We have been to Oceana Palms twice this year, last week and previously in May. We were at Oceana Palms previously over eight years ago. It is just my wife and myself, though sometimes we travel with friends or my wife's parents. We don't own at Oceana Palms though.

I only stayed there when my kids were really young (maybe oldest was 9 or 10 at the time), and was alone with them for the week. For us, the small pools and small resort, it worked great (and we were doing Seaworld, one and done, but Discovery Cove which was awesome, and great that it was literally around the corner so a quick drive). We cooked in mostly, as the only food option was some sandwiches from the bar I think, but for little kids it’s easy to make something for us. I liked the 2 bedroom villa enough, and the real pantry near the kitchen was handy. Now that my kids are young adults, though, I see no draw; think it’s great with little kids though.

I do agree, with the pirate ship pool and the huge water park/splash pad, it certainly is great for kids. For two adults, not so much. Thanks for watching!

I believe this was once the “Horizons” brand of MVC resorts, which was designed to be a more affordable, family friendly brand. I like to refer to them as Marriott “Lite”. There is also one in Branson, which is now called Willow Ridge Lodge. It has a lot of the same likes/dislikes you’ve pointed out about Harbor Lakes. The difference being there isn’t nearly as many Marriott Quality resorts in Branson, so Willow Ridge is still a great choice in that area, whereas one could find much nicer MVC resorts to stay at in Orlando.

Yes, it was one of the Horizons brand resorts. Our maintenance fees at Harbour Lake are now are higher than they are at Grande Vista. Wish our fees were Marriott "Lite", LOL. They have upgraded the units to Marriott quality, but of course they can't change the size. They do have room to put in another pool where building 11 looks like it would have been built. But that means higher maintenance fees for us. Thanks for watching Doug!

We got the free golf with an exchange, non owner. Not sure if that was due to covid and the station to pay was closed or not. But our daughter and her family who rented a weekend night also got it free-again not sure if due to covid and low occupancy. Agree with your postive/negatives too-smallest 2 bedroom-adequate for our needs but not our favorite. Jeremy you forgot to mention the daily ice cream social and the bowl you can buy for unlimited refills LOL

Thanks for watching. That is interesting about the mini golf. I did ask the activity center about the free golf and she had a list of people that qualified. We were staying on an II accommodations certificate and our villa wasn't listed. Perhaps if you exchange in with a Marriott week? We were there during COVID last week. Perhaps they recently started charging again. Or maybe it just depends on who is working that day. I didn't know about the ice cream social. I didn't see it advertised. Were they doing that during COVID? I did see the soda refill 2020 cups, but we don't usually take advantage of those as we can buy a lot of soda at the grocery store for half the $20 price they charge for the cup.

I guess it depends on the time of year you go to this resort. I'm single and no kids and we went in October and it wasn't over run with kids. We had a great time. I love the vibe of the resort and the rooms were fine for 3 ladies getaway. We had the 2 bedroom dedicated unit at the end of the lake far from the action. Very quiet part of the resort, plenty of parking and this was pre-covid. I would go back. I exchanged in thru II..

Nice vid Jeremy! Just stumbled upon your vids..That is actually my ‘home’ resort @ MVC & agreed w/the Pros & some Cons you mentioned. I purchased in 2005, so I wld think some rooms need a refresh. But all in all, still a nice vibe resort & still well taken care of property. We stayed there right before things really got in depth w/the ‘pandemic’ in March.

I agree, it is great for young families. Just not for couples or families with teenagers. Since we travel as a couple, it is our least favorite in Orlando. It is great that Marriott Vacation Club has so many options in Orlando and elsewhere. There is something for everyone. Thanks for watching.

I will admit, Harbour Lake isn't our favorite (even though we own there), but it does have a lot of unique qualities. Great for families visiting Orlando.

As an owner I can only advise not to buy into Marriott. They will promise you the world and deliver nothing. Each year has been an argument to use our unit, and now have been denied the use of it, no availability, but you can reserve the same unit through the hotel site. Run from sales.
