Why does Nintendo have to acknowledge baseless claims about future hardware from a bunch of 'insiders' and 'leakers' . If they don't have anything to announce, then they don't, and that's that. It's not their fault people are stupid and were hyping themselves alone. I do believe the Switch Pro exists in some form, but we'll just have to wait for their official announcement.

Even if the Pro isn't real (i personally believe it is. They want the Switch to last few more years), it would be stupid to think that the next gen switch isn't being researched and developed once the OG came out in 2017. Like no shit Nintendo is always working on the next console or revision, "iNsIDeRs". As is Sony and Microsoft right now

Certainly. The fact it's not ready yet shows they're sitting on their laurels and shoving us more of the same. Now, while people are still spending a lot of time at home, would be the ideal time to release it. The way things are going, Sony will make a PS5 Pro before Nintendo even progresses past 1080P. If their next console goes the way of Wii U or GameCube, they'll be in trouble. Every other console since 64 has sold poorly by comparison.

This was my favourite showcase, by faaaaaar. Metroid, Super Monkey Ball, Kazuya, Cruis'n Blast, Mario Golf, and even BOTW2 (even if I didn't care for the first game). Only really disappointed on how the Zelda anniversary is turning out. All we're left with is a 60/85 port of the least popular 3D Zelda, from 10 years ago. Where the hell is the Ocarina/Majora/Twilight/Windwaker collection?

Why is that bad? I don't have a ps3 anymore, having all the mass effects in one package on my ps5 was awesome one of my favorite games of all time. There's nothing wrong with remasters it's a good business model and it's good for fans because it's game preservation it's not like people HAVE to buy them, if you're not a fan than don't and just move on. It's not like nintendo has made multiple amazing brand new first party titles since the switch came out.

I get the disappointment around Zelda 35th Anniversary, i hoped for something more. the Game&Watch is an interesting collectable but not for me. I had heard of a new 2d Metroid so seeing Dread was great and it looks great too. SMT5 update was great after the long silence on it, definitely want to get my hands on that. BotW2, that was more than i was expecting, can't wait for more of that. While im not a big fan of tekken, i did enjoy the reveal trailer with the cliff yeeting. Advances Wars reboot was a surprise, not sure I like the art style but i might come around to it. Naturally, i did want more, like with other titles. I was kinda hoping for something on a Fire Emblem game but I knew that was just a rumor of a rumor at best. That said, was there anything to the whole Switch pro reveal? All i heard was "leaks" and rumors but did they ever officially say they would talk about it during E3? I get fake-out hype but I don't think that applies to this situation. Oh man, I would love to see the Bandai Namco reaction... for obvious reason. Edit: I watched the JP direct for their selection of games... they were way more appealing... I guess overall we kinda got twice as many games in the showcase if you ignore the language barrier.

After watching this Nintendo Direct (and others from 2021 and 2020)... i've come to realize Nintendo just aint for me. All good, each to his own. Thought they had more love for Zelda but guess i'll dust off the Switch some point late next year.

I feel like they'll do a Zelda 35 direct later the year loke they did with Mario 35 being 2 weeks before 3D All Stars released. They WANT/NEED Skyward Sword HD to sell well and it being the least popular 3D Zelda, announcing more Zelda games that people have higher regard for will completely outshine SSHD before it releases I could also be completely wrong, but I hope not

Totally understand you, i like the Switch but never bought from them any game besides than botw, smash, and MK8. Aside from that, it feels like the console is a side platform from your main system (in my case PC) to get Indie games and certain niche IPs (like the new fatal frame wich i'm looking forward to get).

Just feels like 2021 shoulda been the year (besides Skyward Sword and its lame Amibo business-strategies). I could see them maybe surprising us with Twilight Princess or Wind-Waker later this year... but i dunno at this point. Waiting on Nintendo to do the sensible thing can really wear a man down.

@@snackss_ Didn't say Nintendo doesn't make any good games... i just said i've come to realize its not for me. Fire Emblem, Xenoblade, etc is the jrpg/weeb shit i never get into. I wanted to get Astral Chain but i hear its absolutely criminial that good Platinum game is locked to just 30 fps. And Animal Crossing/Smash Ultimate woulda been dope for me if i was still 12. I got the Switch for Zelda. Games like Mario Odyssey, Luigis Mansion and Mario Kart were the extra icing on the cake. I was sorta hoping Nintendo would do their usual greedy shit and rerelease all their previous games from the Wii U & Gamecube generations so I could play them too. But the only ones that they're holding out on are most of the Zelda games for some reason.. Its chill tho... took a gamble with Nintendo and realized, theres better console makers out there and better libraries from three other major platforms. Each to his own and some people just love playing old games on calculators and buying up lame ass amibos to unlock fast-travel.

I agree The game and watch is extremely lackluster but they said when they announced it that that was all they planned to do for the anniversary... Nintendo does what Nintendo wants to do and that has been their attitude over the past 15 years. I personally can't stand them anymore and my Switch just sits and collects dust because of the line of games that are just uninteresting and that doesn't push the envelope in terms of their catalogue of games. For me Nintendo took a huge step backwards after the Gamecube and they really haven't even attempted to go back to what they were strongest in, which was the quality of their games. The Switch was a step in the right direction but the catalogue of games that have come out have been subpar. I know a lot of people have a strong love for BOTW but I couldn't get into it because it felt like Skyrim but in the Zelda universe. For anyone who loves Nintendo thats great and you should continue to do so but for anyone who has been frustrated with Nintendo's "I don't care" attitude, I %100 understand you and agree mostly with the sentiment. Hopefully Nintendo will find itself back on the path that made them so damn good and bring a sense of urgency to the quality of games, similar to how Microsoft and Sony have during the current and previous generations of systems. Maybe we will see those glimpses of the past in Metroid and I hope they will get off of the BOTW kick and go to something in the middle but until then we will have to see.

Astral Chain, three houses, xenoblade, Luigi mansion, Odyssey, no more heroes, animal crossing, smash ultimate. Don't sit there and tell me there's no games on the switch lmao there's been multiple awesome first party titles since Breath of the Wild and now we have MH rise, stories 2, Bayonetta 3, metroid Dread and prime 4 coming.. lmao such bullshit reasoning. Don't buy a nintendo console if you're only a fan of 1 IP that's so illogical like obviously you'd be disappointed at that point it's like buying a ps5 only for God of War and then realizing in the entirety of that consoles life span there will probably only be two God of War games maybe even just one.

Hated BOTW. Huge Zelda fan, have loved all the games up until then, but BOTW just wasn't a Zelda game for me. Not interested in a 2D Metroid game, but I'd love a 3D one. And yet ANOTHER fighting game character in Smash was not needed. Very unimpressed with the Direct. Easily could've stolen the show with HD Zelda rereleases or Thousand Year Door 2, or whatever.

Switch is selling like crazy, the next gens from Xbox and PlayStation are still hard to find, and your shit out of luck upgrading a GPU. Why announce Switch Pro, possibly slowing current Switch sales and deal with backlash for not able to keep up with the demand from a Pro.

E3 is always such a complete and total and utter dumpster fire train wreck, but within E3 there are definitely "some" or a "few" good things, I mean what0we got elden ring, Babylons fall finally gets talked about, also advanced wars getting a remake, all the super monkey ball games, METROID 5 OUT OF FUCKING NOWHERE!!! some more party maps for Mario party, Kazuya is in smash, and breath of the wild 2 trailer, METROID PRIMIE 4 STILL IN THE WORKS!!, also some good stuff out of devolver digital, Literally every single E3 gets saved by nintendo super fucking sad!! but seriously all the other conferences, square, bandi, Xbox/microsoft, Capcom etc just complete and total and utter DISAPPOINTMENTS. You know what I would like to see? a remastered version of Chrono trigger brought to switch, if not thst then FOR THE LOVE OF GOD AT LEAST BRING CHRONO TO SMASH!!! and give Captain falcon his own video game FFS!!!!!

I agree with the others but Xbox presentation was great. Halo multiplayer, sot expansion/crossover with pirates of the Caribbean, For a 5 looks sick, redfall. And best of all STALKER like c'mon stalker games are awesome and the new one looks amazing.

No kidding. I'm happy for the Nintendo diehards that got happy to see a buncha ports and a new 2D Metroid... but i basically bought a Switch for Zelda. Never got to play Twilight Princess and Wind-Waker, was hoping for good news about it today (cuz ya know, it was the 35th anniversary afterall)... and all i got was a 25 second teaser for BOTW2, this "were aiming for 2022, maybe?" release-thought and some sorta calculator that plays the oldest Zelda games. Cool. And people are telling me this was the best E3 show?

But before we get into that, we got 25 minutes of multi-platform ports & rereleases coming to Xbox... at full price! Aint this the best E3 ever?"

Do Australians worship Japan or something? Seems your standards are a lot different for Nintendo and Sony vs MS. You said this was good, with a 2D Metroid, no Switch Pro, new character for SSB, no clear launch date for BOTW2... But were Meh about Halo Infinite and Xbox's awesome games all coming to Game Pass by the Holidays. Meanwhile, you let Sony off the hook for flip flopping on PS5 exclusives. Smh.

Ha, and you try to use Starfield as an example of not including a date vs Nintendo, but got caught. Starfield had an actual date and BOTW2 didn't.
