After reading many reviews and watching a lot of videos, I chose this option for my first backup power station. ru-vid.comUgkxHypYDKHAN93Lp2RQpfvU_ksc70wJ00pt I was between this and a larger option that could power a wider range of items, but the price/size/capacity blend seemed right for this unit. Hasn't gotten a ton of use yet, but the build quality is solid and it charges fine via the Rockpals solar panel I purchased to pair with it. One thing to note is that the screen is optimized for a top down viewing angle, which makes sense, but this means it washes out at other angles - especially low angles. Not a huge deal, but perhaps a better option for the display could be used to provide wider viewing angles.

I'm impressed that the Mini charges in about 100 minutes. My power bank takes a lot, lot longer than that.

I believe this version has the option to charge it "at normal" speeds. I just ordered mine (I had the bigger Ecoflow Delta in the past) and will use the slower charging option. If you don't need fast charging, there's no need to put stress on the batteries.

Arizona is _THE_ place for powering a house by Solar panels. They can deliver Electricity as Hot Water. It could even be possible to run your House completely off grid.

While you're 100% right, for many people, the costs, even with the government tax incentives, is a high barrier to get past. And there are a surprising number of hurdles to (sometimes) have to overcome. For example, I read one story where a couple went through an entire solar build, only to find out that their local power company's grid was too antiquated to accept the back feed of electricity! Lots of variables.

5:45 "chest freezer 59 hours of run time" , yeah with the compressor off, check it again when its running and let us know. I want you to be right though, I ordered the Delta mini and plan to power a chest freezer if needed. Maybe a DC freezer could run that long.

I was actually thinking of replacing our Honda gas generator with these new breed of power generators and I think the Delta Mini is an exact fit.

Have both. Use the gas generator in emergencies to recharge the Delta mini. Less than 2 hrs to full charge.

They are power packs not a generator by no means and they do overheat so you will have charging issues here and there and they are throw away units batteries will die eventually they have along way to go still. And pricing is not Eco-Freindly at all.

I would use it for my new small stand up freezer and small chest freezer so we can keep all our vegetables that we have in the garden. Power outage in Montreal can come at anytime of the year. Though I’m not sure if it will be this one or the Delta that I will purchase. Great video and I subscribed to your channel. Thank you 🙏

I sometime help run outdoor games for laser tag and airsoft, and have used a power system I built in the past. How well does the EcoFlow handle wet weather like rain and heavy dew? The morning dew in the late summer here in central Indiana is wet enough to kill laptop that is not at least semi-rugged.

Unfortunately, the Delta Mini is not rated to handle much moisture as well. I wonder if you could create some sort of DIY shell or outer box, almost like a Pelican case?

@@PneumaticAddict I used a DeWalt rolling tool box for the last one. That battery has since died, and it weighed 40+ lbs. This looks like a good replacement.

Surely 59 hours of freezer runtime is not right. The compressor must not have been running when you had it plugged in. That thing is useless as a real backup choice in my opinion.

I would love to incorporate solar as well! We currently don't own any panels, but are looking into buying a small array. It seems like the majority of Delta Mini owners use solar to charge. There's more information about a solar option on the EcoFlow website.

Hate to say it, same feeling I got, since over the past couple of months most all DIY/Maker channels I watch have also gotten and reviewed this brand as well. Not that I have a problem with channels getting items to review, but really, I'd love to see one of these where they are like "here we tried this one AND some other one, and this is why we like it better".

I just bought one and the 160watt panel .. searching for tips and hints at use .. The RU-vid’s gave me this video .. OK .. A tv will last 15 hours, but a coffee pot is less than an hour 🤨🤨🤨🤨 chest freezer 17.5 hours, toaster and hour? Full size fridge 75 mins, table lab 10 mins longer…..

Yes, the run time is all dependant of Watt hours. Coffee pots have surprisingly high wattage demands mostly because of their amperage, as do any items with heating elements. Heating appliances have always been notoriously energy hungry. The coffee pot and toaster have changed very little in decades. On the other hand, manufactures have worked really hard to get other devices like LED TVs to work much more efficiently in recent years.

inductive load like Toasters, Coffee machines or even everything that has an electric motor, will drain a Power Supply quickly. Capacitive loads and integrated circuits (like in TV, Monitors, etc.) don't strain a Power Supply not even closely

@@PneumaticAddict I have an energy monitor on my fridge and chest freezer and they pretty much draw the same current. It’s surprising how you come up with these time frames. I suspect that when you plugged each in maybe the compressor was running on the fridge but the freezer maintained and the compressor was not running. In real life longer simulated runtimes don’t expect these results.

My last job gave me an Eco Flow Delta (the 1300W version) because I program for a living and during critical moments, they wanted to make sure I could still do my job even if I lost power. I recently left and they took it back! :-( So I just ordered the mini version. I plugged my NAS, modem, router, switch and internet telephone in it. It's not uncommon for us to get quick "lost power" situations, only for the power to come back on right away. For my NAS especially, having spinning hard drive platters all of a sudden lose power can mean destroyed drives and lost data. If you sometimes lose power and have computer equipment, I feel like you should definitely have something like this.

Some of the stats for the power bank are not accurate and don’t make any sense because this are stats from the producer. It’s understandable you need to promote things but this is something out of league and is misleading marketing. More and more YouTubbers are doing this. The only thing I can do is to Unsubscribe.
