What will Raiders be with a full season of Jimmy Garoppolo? 

as a raiders fan, i just hope that we have a better season than last year, that’s all i want.

Honestly, Jimmy is really good. Took me a little while to figure it out but the truth is he has a quick release, is accurate, makes great reads, throws dimes while under duress, converts on 3rd downs, has high redzone percentage, has moxy, has no fear. Just needs to stay on the field. He'll have the best group of weapons he's ever had too.

Jimmy G is a talented guy . Smart, athletic etc. If he stays healthy The Raiders are a decent 9 - 8 team. But realistically are they much more than that and will he stay healthy? Hoping Jimmy and The Raiders have a good season!

They'll be about where they were last year. As someone who saw every game JG played as a 49er, the Raider's went backwards @ QB from D. Carr. Talent wise it is pretty lateral, to be able to actually stay on the field is where the Raider's declined big time. I bet JG won't make it 9 games before he's hurt. Not to mention the under throws, over throws, gopher throws, not hitting guys in stride so they have to stop or slow their momentum or reach awkwardly to make the catch and the bonehead INT's you get with JG. Jimmy is not a terrible QB but he is not an elite QB by any means and that win percentage is more due to the coaching and player's around him.

I’m realistically expecting us to not do a lot this year. Josh last year made the excuse that he needed his guys and needed a year under his belt. I was like okay I guess I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt. Well now we’re basically the Las Vegas patriots and he’s got a year under his belt. No excuses why we shouldn’t be better this year even with him letting Carr go cause he thought he was gonna get Brady and it backfired and we ended up with jimmy. If we can at least end the season with a respectable record that’d be a win for me. If josh gets fired because we suck again that’d be a win for me too lol

Jimmy's "production" is nothing compare to Carr. Jimmy's never thrown for 4k yards in a season. Carr does that pretty much every year. Garropollo had a defense that won him games. Carr won games with his arm and audible ability at the line. Who has the most comeback wins and game winning drives in the NFL since 2014? Derek Carr. Who won 10 games without throwing a TD? Jimmy Garropolo. There's no comparison between the 2. 1 guy had a top 3 defense and the other had a bottom 3 defense. It's like calling Trent Dilfer a hall of fame QB because he played on a team with one of the best defenses of all time.

As long as McDaniels is here, we're going to be a joke. Two years ago we lost in the playoffs to the superbowl representative by a last second field goal. Last year we brought that entire core back & added Davante Adams & Chandler Jones (both league leaders in major statistical categories coming in). Then McDaniels arrived & changed everything. He treated Jacobs like a 7th round pick making him play the entire preseason, cut Jonathan Abram, & alienated Moehrig, Ferrell, & every other top draft pick on our team. We instantly became one of the worst franchises in the league again. Throughout this debacle, the nepotism of Davis continued to & continues to support McDaniels' repeated failures. There is no hope this year. While those two are making decisions, there will be none.

The chiefs are not unbeatable. The Raiders pass rush has been bad it was addressed this draft and free agency. There are several teams that have started rookie qbs and hope for the best. Carr was not that good in the red zone. Raiders lead the chiefs by 2 touchdowns then the defense never touched mahomes and went on to win with a hurt leg. No pass rush. That will be different this year!!!

Garopollo and Carr are both average nfl QBs. Derek has the tools but JimmyG has the brains. The way Adams played last year even JimmyG can exploit those busted coverages.
