Lewis! This is an exciting turn of events. As far as pogo growing im not sure what metrics they are using considering last year brought a wave of layoffs. Accessibility is a huge problem for pogo and i think that will be a deterrent until its addressed. Rural players continue to be abused and city players are disproportionately benefitted. Id really like to see a rebalancing of experience. Perhaps unlimited remote raids after 9 pm when all local raids are turned off? Its crazy to me that a video game essentially has a built in curfew. Personally i prefer the main line games but the shiny locking brought me back to pogo in hopes of getting everything the mainline games keep gated.

Honestly, yeah if pokemon decides to go back to 2d sprites, or even octopath, I might hand in my Pokébadge and admit the franchise isn't for me anymore. I enjoyed scarlet, even though I experienced all of its flaws, but in order to move forward, you have to stumble sometimes. To go back would, to me, seem like backtracking and admitting they don't want to leave their comfort zone and progress. I feel like with the size comparison, the sprites just avoided the situation altogether, which is kind of complacent. The 3d models kind of force them to get closer to the real sizes. I'm using sword and shields wailord as an example.
