It doesn't bother me at all when people tell me that I'm nor mature enough to have children, because they are 100% correct. My honest opinion is that no one is mature enough to have children. This is why so many people have some much unresolved trauma that they ignorantly pass on to their children, while unnecessarily creating an infinite cycle.

Childfree people look young, do fun things and have a positive mindset - all these things are usually something that people have only in their early years. Being childlike is confused with being childish. If you make decisions that bring you happiness and stability and no one else harm then you are extremely mature regardless.

Straight up my mom!! My mom had some kind of suffering obsession due to her religion ,, imagine having a mom who wants you to suffer like she did and she can't wait for you to have kids so you could suffer like her

So many people have kids without thinking that much about it, about how they’ll support their child and the future life for their child. I’ve thought long and hard about these things and how hard being a mom would be, and decided it’s best for me not to have children.

Actually and as a childfree man, I see myself as more mature than other men who have children. Another sad reality is this, people who have originally chosen to be childfree end up having children by accident and they become much better parents than the ones that already have had children. As selfish as it is to have children in anyway, there are people that have them for the right reasons while some others have them for the wrong reasons.

There some very mature childfree people like stevie Nick's she knew that if she had children she would had been a horrible mother because of her drug addiction it took her years to beat it plus she would had to walk away from her career she has helped so many people with her music just like her late bandmate christine mcvie

I'm not being immature for choosing to be childfree I made the decision for me because it was what's best for me there are some parents that are totally immature like demi Moore mother she truly was immature she had her when she was a teenager when demi was born she was a selfish mother

Exactly! Most of us, I would say have deeply thought about our choice, what it would mean for our lives etc. You see so many parents past and present, who have had children for all the wrong reasons minus the rare few who are actually good at the whole parenting thing.

Well, I respect their (typically a stranger’s) opinion but it doesn’t change ANYTHING. Number one I’m grown AF and I’m more than capable of making my own decisions. Number two, it’s not like they will be there to help me raise those (nonexistent kids) if I decide to have one. If I’m immature to them then so be it. 🙄🤷🏾‍♀️😏💯

Well said! We also can't change much of what strangers /others think of us either. Also, exactly! If they want to give insight into others having kids, they should be at least helping in some form, other wise, just keep those options on the inside.

Im old enough to remember how scandalous it was for a young girl get pregnant out of wedlock. She was sent away out of state to "a special school" to have her baby only to put it up for adoption, based on family qualms. Most of the time, you never heard of her again. Then the 60s hit and all was better. Free love all over the place among the single. The parents wanted to get into some of that and that brought the swingers with wife swapping. Of course you cant leave out the drugs, so wall street had to have their row with it when brokers were high on coke. As a mother of three, yes, life presents itself. And no better way than with the totally unscripted spontaneity of children to expand their minds while you release yourself from rigidity of norms forced from tradition. Children have no clue of doing it just right. Their natural way of being is refreshing. I had an older sister who had multiple abortions for her career and tried talking me into it with my first pregnancy. The entire existence of creation was something I couldn't turn my back on. Regardless of my level of maturity I knew what was best in this situation and made my way to do the best I could.
