All colleges have disability support services and so many resources to help people! You should go talk to someone at a college you may be interested in attending. Their job is to help people succeed! You can do it!
I just started nursing school. I'm 26, I have a 2 year old and I take care of my father who has dementia Alzheimers fulltime. I have autism, anorexia, and social anxiety disorder. This is my second time trying to go to school. There are people who want to help you succeed, not to mention God is always on your side.
It's okay I've been stressing about it since I got into middle school. I thought middle school was going to make or break my future life in college when I was younger 😂
Two other things I recommend to anyone going to college : sunglasses & sunscreen !! As a senior in college, I cannot tell you how many times both of those things have come in handy.
OMG, I'm a senior at my university and I can't believe it too. Like where did the time go?? I love your college videos so much, especially because of the atmosphere in American colleges. Like, in Ukraine, when you're sitting in classes you feel like you're at some fancy fashion show. People are not used to wearing comfortable cloth around here. Especially girls. High heels, tight dresses, a lot of makeup - it's like the everyday look of pretty much every girl in my university. And it's so stupid. So I genuinely adore your colleges and how everyone (pretty much) is focused on studying and not on looking fancy. 😊😊😊
Mannn I couldn't wear a dress every single day. Especially since the weather in Tuscaloosa is so temperamental and our campus is huge. T-shirt, shorts or sweats, and sneakers are the go to.
When she said “you can get a good pair of shorts for $39.99 ON SALE!” I was like I AINT PAYING $40 FOR A PAIR OF LEGGINGS😂 giiiiiirl noooooo! Her choice but I’m already poor college is gonna shank my wallet
i'm going to be a freshman this year in college! the college process is stressful but SO worth it when your acceptances roll in! if you need advice with the process, don't hesitate to reach out to me on insta @xourt :-)
Do you have any tips for those who regularly go to work every day and have to eat out or at work more often? Such as bringing lunches, examples of healthy lunches, ways to save money, etc.. maybe make a video but don’t take to long cause I need help 😅😅 LOVE YOURE VIDEOS GIRL.
Don’t buy from lululemon! All in motion from target is comparable and costs half as much as an average pair of lululemon leggings (98) The quality and material is also 200% comparable and they costs 25-30$
I enjoy lululemon leggings and shorts as well! My favorite lululemon leggings are the aligns and my favorite lululemon shorts are the hotty hot shorts. I buy a majority of mine off of poshmark to get a better deal. For oversized tees, I buy mine from goodwill because I can get them for $1-4 at most and they are great quality especially in the mens section.
Semester starts back tomorrow and I am NOT ready so this is exactly what I needed this morning. Love love love your channel (newish subscriber) P.S. your hair & makeup looks BOMB in this video 😊
Can you do a grocery store haul for college? This is my first time being off the meal plane and I have no idea how to affordably and healthily shop lol
you honestly don't ACTUALLY need half of these things. but if you want to spend your money on appearances and superficial products then go for it. most classes don't even let you wear perfume or scented products. school supplies, a reusable water bottle (could be contigo if you don't want to invest in a hydro flask) and lip balm are really the only things you ACTUALLY need.
A note on being sick all the time... this is not a given. Vitamin supplements do not help immunity. The best thing would be eating a balanced diet, get adequate sleep, exercise, and limit drinking.
Katie Coble They never stated ‘vitamin supplements’. They said vitamins. Anyway, I was very mentally ill last year and I became very malnourished with a lack of most vitamins but I was fine when I took supplements. Also, we prescribe vitamins to patients with eating disorders at work (I am a psychiatric nurse) and they manage to absorb them well and benefit from them so I don’t believe that at all.
I would ha e to disagree on the vitamin part. Vitamins can help your immune system to fight off illness if you are lacking in certain nutrients. That’s why they were made; to help those who need essential micronutrient in small quantities for proper functioning.
@@katherineelisabeth4387 I never said that those things aren't important. I was just saying that vitamin supplements are sometimes important & needed. In colder countries like where I live we are told to take vitamin supplements.
Am I the only one bothered by how she kept saying how something was ONLY like one hundred dollars or how the shorts were ONLY forty dollars. Like that's not just pocket change for a lot of people and I guess it rubbed me the wrong way
You can also go thrifting for oversized t-shirts! I get men’s size XXL+ tees for PENNIES - so much more affordable than buying brand new tees at big box stores! Also, it can be fun to dig through thrift racks to find a tee that no one else in your classes will have. ☺️
You seem like a very organized and *perfectionist* person, as myself- the biggest game changer in my life has been the LetterMate, it seems so dumb but it’s small and convenient and it helps you write straight lines or write straight when you’re taking notes. I used to carry a ruler but everyone would awkwardly stare at me as I was boxing or underlining but it’s absolutely made my notes and my planner so much more organized!
I love using 5 Subject notebooks for each of my classes because I take LOTS of notes so it’s a must for the entire semester 😂 You can also get them cheap at Family Dollar
I literally wanted to get a nespresso because of you and let me tell you, it’s one of the best purchases (my parents got it for me for back to school but still), I love it so much! I’m definitely going to be having my ice lattes at home from now on :)
Hey guys😊 if you’re coffee or espresso fans you should try an AEROPRESS. it’s $30, it makes coffee that’s the closest you can get to espresso without a fancy machine, and it’s so easy to use and clean.
if you're a freshman and maybe even a sophomore i would honestly hold off on the steamer because youre probably not gonna use it for t shirts and stuff, its more likely youd use it for professional clothes, which you will be wearing more as you get further into college, so i would hold off for a year or two
Been watching all your videos since your junior year 😭 cant believe time flies so fast you’re a senior now omg next thing you know you’re gonna be working already
How's it going with your white backpack? I ordered same tnf borealis but with different color. I was considering buying pastel colored ones but I'm the kind of person that don't baby bags. Now, I'm thinking wish I ordered the pastel pink seeing yours.
it's gotten very dirty hahaha but primarily from spilling coffee on it and such. i still love it though and it doesn't look that different besides a few stains here and ther!
@@AbbyAsselin ooow sad to hear. But pretty sure the attractiveness and comfort of the bag are still felt. I got mine and I'm loving it. It's in gray with rose gold highlight, so not scared at all getting it dirty! lol Enjoy your home stay.
I'm thinking of going to college and this video was suuuuuper helpful! Love how practical everything is and I'd rather listen to a senior about college essentials
Did you like the jester or borealis better? I have heard the borealis has more room but it’s more expensive. I’m going into senior year of high school and I want one that will last me a while but I’m not sure between those two which is ultimately better
Hi Abby! I'm one of Mr. Barrens 8th grade students. He showed my class your channel and I'm very interested!!! Looking forward to watching your videos! -Bianca
Indy skullcandy headphones are the best!! I swear by them, they’re only $60-$80 and they’re just as good or better than AirPods. If you don’t have money for AirPods then get these, trust me they’re great. Walmart has amazing coffee cups for like $5 that are like 16-22 oz.
i have an internship next summer & depending on how that goes maybe i’ll start working full time but i also may do grad school! and i got mine the summer before my senior year of high school, my dad paid for half of it and i saved up work money and paid for the other half! it was considered my bday present too since half was still like $600 hahaha
I still remember when I found a full length mirror next to the dumpsters in my college dorm right after Covid hit. After cleaning and checking for any damage, it's still with me 2 years later. It's been so so useful!
I have the North Face bag as well but it has NEVER sat straight down on the ground, it has always slid down and had to be put on the back or on the front on the floor during class. Did I get a dud or is this how they all are?
this is gonna be my first semester at college (which i've always been soooo excited about) and apparently the world is in a huge crisis now and it's gonna be online school for the whole semester. my 17 year old self would be super sad to hear that because she spent her whole year only planning every single detail about college like i was even sure what i was gonna wear on the very first of college lol
Could you do a video on apps or websites that has helped you through college? or even tips & tricks! Not on anything specific necessarily, but i’m always looking for apps to make my college life easier 😂
@AbbyAsselin can you please do a updated skincare routine your skin is always so nice and I just started college and girl I am struggling with my skin! :)
what were the first pair of shoes that you showed called? the white adidas ones. the like says page not found and i think you only said adidas and not what kind
Love the backpack ❤ I was wondering how the backpack was doing. I want to get this backpack for next year but my mom and I are worried about it getting stained or dirty really easily. Your feedback would be really helpful! 😁
mine is def very stained (but i spilled coffee all over it, so it’s my fault) but overall it’s definitely discolored some as expected from being in the rain and stuff too. i still love it but i do think if you’re super concerned with maintaining the look of it i’d go for another color. otherwise it’s great!

Thanks Abby for the great and helpful video. Do you recommend having a portable speaker, surge strip and personal printer? I am also buying a Digital Voice Recorder for recording lectures for my college-bound niece.
