There is only 1 drum rudiment that you can't do without. It is hands down the most important one of them all. And in this video I reveal what that rudiment is and demonstrate what you can do with it on the drums.
I would go as far as saying that this rudiment makes up about 70% of my entire drum playing. And I would guess for others as well.
This video shows examples of where the most important rudiment is in a funk groove, drum shuffle groove, half time shuffle groove, swing groove, linear groove, latin groove, drumfills and even in a Vinnie lick.
Learning drums in 2020 is challenging with all the content available online and most of it being advanced. This rudiment will improve your drumming skills giving you a fighting chance on your on line learning

Just discovered your channel. Very clear instruction. I love the variety of styles. You should have more subscribers, but until then I’ll just call you one of my best kept secrets.

Love to hear the panning of the Toms through the headphones. :) Kit sounds great. Thanks for the lessons! As someone who doesn't always have a kit to practice on, these lessons are superb.

Yep. Good old double strokes. About 1/2 my fills are double oriented.

Ya, when you break it down, there are so many isolated doubles being used all the time

Awesome! Unfortunately my doubles are not good, I have to work more on them, but I use only match grip o both hands, I don't know if that matters, thanks

Actually match grip is an advantage because you can look at both hands to make sure they are moving the same way. You can't do that with traditional grip. Doubles are challenging but like anything, keep working on it!
