Hello Steffanie, by far, this is the most practical instructional video I have watched in the last few months. I love love love your no-nonsense and practical approach. I have learned so much and continue to learn. Although I was aware of germination and maturity days on seed packets, I didn't understand how to use the information. I had no idea what cold and warm crops are and what it means for growing them. I got my first tower (Flex) in June 2021 and the Home the next year. I got very mitigated success (not doing interval planting) these past few years, not really worth the investment. After loosing my indoor crop to powdery mildew last December, I was pretty discouraged. That's when I searched for more information on Tower Garden and discovered your channel. I am starting few crops - lettuce/greens, tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers and green beans (food we're sure to eat). I am struggling with my seedlings but getting better at it. I have a tendency to over water - I do that for my house plants and raised beds too. Hard habit to break. Then I have to wait long enough to ensure the seedlings have grown enough before moving them to the tower. All that to say a BIG thank you for sharing your knowledge. One question: When will your app be available and what is it called? I'm using your journal to track my crops success and failures :( . All part of learning :)

Thank you for the feedback! I'm glad my videos and information is helping. I'm not sure on the app. I'm working on it but what it to be super easy to navigate and find information....which takes a lot of time.

Making sure I understand the intervals planting. So I just got the flex (20 pots) and the baby green extension (32 pots). So with 52 use 13 pots (9 for fast turnover and the the 4 fo slower moving). Do new seeds every 2 weeks so that when they are ready they they will take the spot of 13 more pots. And just keep that going so that round 4 will take the place of round 1?

Yes. When first setting up the tower it will take a couple months before you can start fully following this method because you won't have anything mature enough for awhile. You can practice by starting just baby greens. Start 9 fast turnover baby greens 2 weeks after putting your first set in the tower.

Got it thanks. One more question what do you do to keep squirrels and birds away when you have them outside

Nothing. They make noise so I have never had squirrels or birds mess with my towers. Deer either. @@nikkilovett2603

What temperature do you keep your water in your towers during the winter? I have a very cool greenhouse and have fairly good luck with an aquarium heater. I had tomatoes last winter and kept my water at 70 degrees- greenhouse would get down to 50. Also do you change your fertilizer when they start flowering or do yu continue to use the Tower GArden A&B fertilizers. What ppm? thx so much!

I try to keep my water at 70-75. 75 is hard as my garage is freezing the floor is concrete. I'm considering some insulation on the floor under the tower this winter. Tomatoes need the above 70 to fruit. Cool weather crops can do fine in the 60's. I don't change my fertilizer. I have found TG to be perfectly balanced for pretty much everything in the towers. I also don't worry about ppm at all in my towers. To be honest I never even check ph. It just doesn't seem to matter with the towers. I have a hydroponic system that those things do matter a little more but with Towers I have never had it make a difference to fuss with those things.

Wow! What a wealth of information. Now I’ve gotta get a tower! I have several GREENSTALK vertical towers but that’s a different ball game for sure.

Hi there! I love your videos. I am a teacher and have created an initiative to start a farmers market at my school using our tower gardens. What greens and vegetables do you think would work best? Looking for options that produce a lot to harvest and don’t take super long to be ready to harvest. Any help is greatly appreciated:)

Butterhead grows really quickly. I have some videos on how I heavily seed rockwool to get baby greens really quickly. Those are great. I would read up on any lettuce varieties you want to grow and look at maturity date. Romaine for example takes a long time but mini romaine are quick. Swiss chard and kale would be a good cut and come again crop. bok choy, chijimasai, tatsoi, mizuna grow pretty fast. Have you downloaded my book? I share a ton in there. I would do the hanging basket varieties I recommend indoors for tomatoes. Even outside. They are tasty, easy to manage and grow well. I get hanging basket varieties from totally tomato. stan.store/Theaeroponictowerchannel

@@theaeroponictowerchannel thanks so much. I just found your channel yesterday so I’m still looking over the resources. I will definitely check out the book. My towers are also indoors by the way.

@@tylerdonnelly4495 I have an indoor growing guide coming out in a couple days. It's super important to pick the right varieties for indoor gardening success.
