I'm a little surprised about how I didn't receive any ads that were diet based on this video. Yet extremely pleased.

Actually the calories on the packet is not the same as the calories we absorb in the body. Like celery is said to be negative calories but when we process it, like boiling, it makes it easier for our body to digest it therefore higher calories absorbed. Go read up on it, I’m bad at explaining. Read it from this book called Gene eating, very informative!

Cooking makes most foods far more nutritionally available to us, and is why we can afford having bigger brains compared to our other primate relatives.

When I eat food that taste artificial, it usually comes from stevia. Food with artificial sweetener sometimes taste less artificial than food with nature sweetener like stevia.

Much of the confusion around the zero calorie label comes from misunderstanding "zero". Zero is not the same as none, or without. Put simply, taking the "apple juice" that was in the ingredients from one of the products.. Let's just say the amount of apple juice they used for that package had a caloric value of 0.2, technically that is zero calories but it does have calories. With the focus on health these days, it makes more marketing sense to put zero calories on the package versus low calories. Both would be accurate descriptions to the contents of the product.

Great episode! If you haven’t tried it yet, the Grey Poupon mustards also have low (0-2) carbs and are a bit more exciting with their flavors. I personally like the horseradish because it gives a little kick. Even if you can’t get that brand, I highly recommend Dijon mustards.

As someone trying to lose weight, I much rather ingest chemicals in artificial sweeteners than going back to the regular sodas. 0 calorie (below 5 calories) is still below 5 calories for someone in a caloric deficit and it will still help an obese person lose weight in the long run. There's also no scientific evidence that these will be bad for you. even stevia has a strange aftertaste but it is all up to the individual tolerance honestly walden farms is also a godsend for ppl on a diet so u can focus your calories/macros onto the foods you are going to eat. i always buy a ton from iherb loL

You keep saying to avoid the zero calorie stuff because of the chemicals in it but literally everything is a chemical. Even plain water is a chemical. The natural foods are just chemicals as well. There a dangerous natural chemicals (arsenic for example) so being natural doesn't necessarily make it better than manmade chemicals.

I mean, I never take these zero calories stuff as healthy. Do people think that? For me, I just think it's good to satisfy cravings once in a while
