Got mine a few months ago, the experience they require is more or less what you need to actually pass the exam, I..e you need to tap in to everything you’ve ever learnt, was the hardest exam I have ever done and I have completed MCSE, MCDBA, CCNA, ITIL Expert .... also just passed the CRISC which is 45% CISSP

I took the and passed the CISSP just 30 ago, here is my take: the exam is 370 minutes long with 250 questions and a 10 minutes break. It was a pain! This thing is 3 deep and 5 miles wide. I am exhausted!

Thanks for the video. I am considering CISSP I have 21 years of experience in IT from developer to Enterprise Architecture (current role). Just passed TOGAS part 2. Question is will CISSP add more value to my resume or not much?

If! A big IF, that's if you are going to be doing Compliance Like ISO 27001, PCI and or SOC 2. If you don't like doing auditing and or managing an InFo sec program then it may be a path you don't want to go down. Now if you are like a lot of Admins out there who suffer from the Mighty Mouse Syndrome. Here I come to save the day! You will be doing 10 jobs and getting paid less than 35% of the master of one dedicated person. So many people in IT think they are saving the world and companies are paying them peanuts. I have seen people who have worked their asses off to only get laid off and then replaced by 3 people or in some cases they hire a person to replace you and they are paying 25k more. You are a Developer? What do you code in? Why a Developer who has moved over to Enterprise Architecture?

Hello, thanks for the informative video. Question - when CISSP test asks for the "BEST choice" in a question, what to base the answer criteria on? Is it practical use, cost effective, theoretical, or any other?

Very informative, thank you! Had a follow up question about the exam. Does one need to score approximately 70 percent in EACH domain, or is it cumulative? In other words, if someone scores around 90 percent in 5 or 6 domains, but only 50 percent mark in the remaining 2 or 3 domains, such that they are still over 700 cumulatively, do they qualify for passing the exam? Thank you again.

It's confusing. Four years of experience in IT to qualify to take the exam. What about getting certified? I hear that you need to have experience in IT security specifically. Appreciate if you could clarify.

-This isn't an entry-level IT security exam; this is for experienced IT security professionals. With that said, you can take this exam, pass it, and be provisionally-certified as a CISSP associate. However, if you're new to IT security, there are other entry-level exams that you can take such as the Microsoft MTA 98-367, CompTIA Security+, etc.

This is my understanding, if you have a bachelor or higher you get 1 year experience towards the 5 years experience requirement, leaving you with 4 yrs of work related experience, you can still test and if you pass you will get a "conditional cert" won't be active until you reach total of 4 yrs of experience under your belt
