He has been training with Rudy Gobert since he was 15. That definitely helped. This is why Europe is better, star veterans help develop star talent that is homegrown. You will never see MJ, Lebron or any star American players train with 16 year old 5 star talent.

That’s definitely the concern with a guy this size, being injury prone. It’s rare 7’2”+ guys have longevity in the league. Hope I’m wrong as a Wemby and Spurs fan!

I am not convinced. He may be good, but there are some clear red flags that prevent me from being as confident as you. For starters, he is essentially Porzingis' size. And that has always been a struggle for Porzingis, even with the effort to gain weight. But mainly, his 3pt shooting, one of his main selling points, is terrible. The worst shooters in the NBA are Paolo @ 29.8%, Ja @ 30.7%, and Jabri Smith Jr @ 30.7%. Webmanyama shoots 27.5% from international 3, which is closer.

Porzingis walk into knicks trying to win with Carmelo messed up his development. Wemby plays really in control but injuries are unpredictable he is bound to get hurt but he will be fine, especially with Tim Duncan mentoring him

@@Sofwarriors I compared his size to Porzingis. There's no way around it, he has essentially the same build as Porzingis does. I agree Webmanyama has a better motor and cares more. But the only comparison I made here was size. Which is a weakness for both players. About 1/3rd of his shots come from 3pt. It's part of his game right now. And his midrange game is poor too. He's going to be a great help defender for sure. And probably a really good NBA player. Maybe a star. But its not a lock.
