I went to work as an Allstate agent in August 1985. In the Spring of 1994, I won a trip to Las Vegas and was given a stay at the MGM Grand for a few nights. There was still a lot of construction going on and the walk from the parking garage to the hotel lobby was quite long, through a huge corridor of walled off spaces, that we assumed would someday be shops. The floor was still just cement. We loved the room, had a great view and my kids loved the Grand Adventures Theme Park. I have to admit, I loved it too! Kids are grown and on their own, I'm still single after becoming a single parent with 4 kids in 1998 and I still love staying at the MGM Grand!
Just stayed at MGM Grand for 6 nights. I had a blast. You can get by not leaving the resort if you want to because it has everything inside the resort.
Great review! MGM Grand is so big it basically has everythingand you could spend two or three days there without ever leaving. Being on the monorail really makes it easy to get to the rest of the strip. You correctly noted that the rooms are getting old and tired, but MGM is not a cheap place to stay so I don’t think it’s the greatest values. I am glad you gave a shout out to MGM Signature. Huge rooms with kitchenettes and walkout balconies, and huge bathrooms with a whirlpool. Weekday rates are reasonable. There are moving walkways all the way to MGM Grand. You also get full pool access of the MGM pools and Lazy River. I really like it because you get the best of both worlds, a much bigger and nicer room yet you have quick access to all the action at MGM Grand. You should consider doing a separate review of MGM Signature. Most reviewers ignore this place and it really is a gem.
We are from KC & visit LV about 4 times a year. We haven't stayed at MGM Grand since 2017 as we've been stayin at PARK MGM the last few years, but we're actually checking into MGM Grand next Saturday in their West Wing room! We enjoy these rooms as it's super easy access to the strip and the rooms have recently been remodeled.🙂 Doesn't look like a ton has really changed since we last stayed here. Not a fan of the buffet here, but we enjoy the pool area! And it's close to an ABC Store😊 We ate at TAP last year and it's good! Doesn't bother us too much that it's so far South on the strip. We get such a great deal and we love walking the strip!🤙🏼
this'll be our 4th visit in a little over a year. our first visit was in november 2022 and we're going again for the 4th time next month for my birthday. I would think you will absolutely love MGM grand in 2024. Its so robust and huge and gives off 5 star resort vibes without the pricetag that comes with it like at Bellagio. I will suggest to request a room close to an elevator, our first stay we stayed all the way at the end of the wing it would take a almost 5 minute walk to get to the elevator! enjoy your trip and be safe!
Great video! My partner and I stayed at the MGM Grand the second time we went to Vegas. We were there six nights and it wasn’t until the very last day that we finally figured out how to get around without getting lost. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to go back someday.
Thanks so much for the review! We usually stay at the mirage but with all the renovations & closing the volcano we’re looking for another place for our 1 year wedding anniversary & this definitely helps with our decision!
My wife and I will be staying g there April 2025 for our wedding anniversary. Neither of us have stayed there, we’re excited. Great video and keep up the awesome work
I remember I got lost once in there 🙄🤦♂️ Good review guys!! And that burger looked good 😋😋 Melissa do you play the My Vegas Slots and do you use the rewards from there?
Thanks so much for the video, the wife & is are heading there on Friday for our 1 year anniversary. Usually we stay a The Mirage but that’s not an option anymore, hopefully MGM becomes our new favorite!
This video brought back many fond memories. It was our home away from home for many years until we moved to Bellagio and Aria. Yes, it's huge, but there is so much to do and great dining options that you could stay for a few days and never have to leave. Maybe we need to stay there again? 🤔 Great job on covering the Grand!
Have stayed here about 6-7 times already...We love staying here in the summer because of the lazy river! We dont get lost anymore since we have been here so often! Great hotel!!!
I've never stayed there but I've visited it many times - even took in a show. I think the place is excellent. Lots to do, eat, and see. I tried to go to the comedy club one time, but they were sold out, so if you're planning to try Brad Garrett's Comedy Club, book ahead of time. Good selection of slots too. I happen to really love the South End of the Strip. I've stayed at the Luxor & Excalibur, and am staying at the NY-NY next month (for my 2nd time). The MGM Grand is more expensive, so I haven't stayed there, but I love visiting it. If you can swing the cost, it's definitely the casino to stay at. Her review was great, and spot on. By the way, it's so much better than Park MGM - not even close. I have no complaints at all about the MGM Grand!
We’ve had times where we find mgm grand cheaper than Excalibur so we snatch it up! We are also fans of the south strip. We get the best comps there for sure.
My longest stay ever in Vegas was at MGM grand 9 days 8 nights…in the tiny west wing room …solo trip and felt like cool bachelor pad …I really enjoyed it…only stayed that one time as their rates tend to be slightly higher than some compatible competitors …I give it 👍👍 up
Thanks for showing MGM. My step father worked on the mgm back in the 70's. That one was big to. That was a huge hamburger. Looked really good 😋. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful Saturday. Hope your having fun on your trip. Be safe.❤☘🥰☘❤
My family stayed at the MGM Grand back in 1994, my first ever out-of-state vacation and first visit to Las Vegas. I was only 6; the trip was a half-Vegas, half-Disneyland shindig where the adults would have their fun in Vegas and then Disneyland would be all for me. However, that meant the themepark that existed at MGM during those days would technically be my first themepark experience as well, and I somehow remember liking MGM's themepark better than Disneyland! 😂 I still remember when the hotel entrance had that giant lion statue you had to walk *under* to get in, and it was the coolest thing ever for a kid! It was also around that time when the cartoon "Rugrats" released a VHS special featuring a trip to Las Vegas, complete with all their hilarious shenanigans and mischief, and I'd re-watch that tape to tatters while remembering my own awestruck Vegas experience. ☺ Just stumbled upon your channel and I'm loving the vids! Also impressed with how active you appear in these comment sections! Easiest click of the subscribe button I've ever done. 👍
Wow, thank you Doctor! I never got to do the theme park there, even though we did visit when I was a teen in the early 90’s. My parents were probably too cheap 😂 Do you remember the lion habitat? Now they have the poker room there LOL! Still one of my favorite places to stay.
@@UpUpOurWay Absolutely! Though nowadays, there still may be lions of a kind in Vegas poker rooms. 🦁 In retrospect, you probably didn’t miss much at that adventure park for a teen; the truly exciting things that I remember mesmerizing 6-year-old me were the long fancy escalators, the Blues Brothers impersonators, and the cool curly straw that came with my expensive kid’s beverage. 😂
I got lost to the point of getting mad when trying to find the monorail. Good Lord!!! It was not easy. And I almost jumped through my phone screen to snatch that burger from you 😂😆 cause it looked *that* delicious.
So stinking easy to get lost! That burger was gigantic! I didn’t realize until after that it had two patties. Had to take one out and give to Enrique! 😂
I stayed at the mgm grand several times years ago. I used to work in a hotel. I would book directly with the mgm grand reservations manager and get a jacuzzi suite for $59 a night. My mom was like ok now make sure you actually use the jacuzzi lol.
Nice video. MGM Grand is one of my favorite places to stay, and right up there is the size of the property as a big pro. I visited my dad back in 2022, and other than between seeing him, I didn't have to leave this hotel for anything, and that was in December, when multiple restaurants take a short break for Christmastime. My most recent trip to Vegas was for my sister's competition at the Westgate, and staying here was great. We had plenty to do, and the monorail could get us to the Westgate in just 10 minutes. It's gotten a little pricier as of late, the MGM Grand still has some great value with all that it offers.
I love MGM Grand. Studio tower rooms are nicer right now than the Grand rooms (can't wait for the renovations), and if you get a room by the elevator, it's a short walk past Level Up to the strip. It's a Coke house. I like the Gold check in lounge. I love the pool area. The buffet is very basic, but so am I, so I like it (but I'm also Pearl). Poker room is underrated. MGM Grand arena is right there and you're close to T-Mobile, Dolby Live, and Allegiant. You can save on trans being Zone 1 and with the monorail and the trams or just staying inside MGM for a week (like you said). Is it 5 stars? No. But for the right price there's a lot of value. Stayed there twice last year and will stay there twice again this year. Thanks for the video. :)
I've walked in there on two occasions, and got totally lost both times. I can't seem to find any pattern or any logical route to just backtrack once you do get lost. Massive doesn't even describe how big that place is. You did an awesome job breaking it all down though. I would still get lost LOL. I do love their pool area though. It's true you can stay there a whole vacation length of time and have lots to do though. Thank you for the review!
MGM Is One Of Our Favorites Too Mainly Because Of The Pool And Lazy River But We Seem To Luckier Gambling In There Compared To Most Other Casinos So Thats A Plus
I like the MGM, stayed there many times. I agree it's starting to show its wear and tear. The Sportsbook could be bigger. Gaming is pretty good. And their pool has a lazy river which is always enjoyable.
Good video. I have never stayed at the MGM Grand. The rooms look outdated to me. Did you go see the Cirque Du Soleil KA show? I love the cirque shows on the strip but have yet to see KA
I stayed there last August for an Analytics and Cybersecurity conference….two weeks later they were hacked. Overall I enjoyed my stay there but it’s a little too far south
I stayed at mgm, Luxor, and mandalay last year. I think they’re too far of a walk to center strip. Last couple times I stayed at mirage and it was much shorter of a walk to Caesar’s, bellagio, Venetian, etc. That’s where all the action is at
_MGM GRAND_ was the first hotel I stayed at in Vegas. I went to a Shaq Comedy Roast and an after party at _Studio 54!_ The only time I brought a girlfriend with me to Vegas!🤣
@@UpUpOurWay I still stay at the Dirty Castle too, although my fave is Vdara, but I want to try MGM Signature since they have the full kitchenettes AND the balconies!
If they feel they must charge me 45.00 resort fee, well I feel I must throw every towel in the pool and break at least 10 plates and glasses during my stay. Call it my resort fee reimbursement.
Anyone know how much Bonnano’s pizza is? My husband and I went a few years ago and it was $38 for two slices. We were wasted so didn’t question it until the next morning. $19 a slice doesn’t seem right
@@UpUpOurWay nah nothing can change your mind on the mgm pillows!!...and nah my girl won't let me stay at palace station..I guess she's too good for that place
Our 4 electric bikes where stolen from this place I don’t recommend to stay there very dangerous place razita no les recommend o este lugar tan terrible no valla a este hay muchos robos
