Before labor, I had never had a contraction but I was very very tired the days before. My water broke at 4:30 pm on 9/13/23 and my contractions were immediately coming at 5 minutes apart and got more intense pretty quickly. By the time I was admitted to the hospital, I was at 3 minutes apart. Contractions stayed this way throughout labor. I was in labor 13 hours but only push for 15 minutes. No tearing, no complications, we went home the next day. My beautiful baby girl is healthy and perfect in every way. It’s a love I’ve never experienced before.
@@anniexiong8378 it helps that my daughter was only 6.5lbs! I did a lot of yoga in the last trimester, too. I feel like there is only so much you can do to prevent tearing though - there are so many videos with advice on the subject, but I’m not sure if those things actually work. I went nuts researching because it was my first baby and I was so scared 😂. Also, listen to your body - the doctor wanted to induce me before my due date (not for any medical reason, it was “for my comfort”) and I declined against my doctor’s advice. I went for a checkup the next day and I ended up going in to labor as soon as I got home from that appointment. The odds of a healthy, natural birth are more likely than any complications. I know it’s hard not having control over any of it but you will do great and you’ll be so proud of yourself and wonder how you did it.
@@anniexiong8378what helped me..perineal massages and side lying position when pushing. Not only I didn’t tear but I didn’t feel any pain while pushing. Some pressure but not pain. You dont feel contractions while pushing and I thought I would feel this ring of fire everyone talks about but in the side lying position all I felt was pressure not pain.
Today's starts my 29th week and I'm SO EXCITED! I had an ectopic pregnancy right before my 21st birthday and it's taken me 10 years since to conceive again. I'm now 31, married to to the man of my dreams, just bought our dream house and welcoming our baby girl Leira into this world within these next 11 weeks. I've been watching your videos since week 7 ♡ thank you for all of your knowledge and positivity!
I’m so glad you survived your ectopic pregnancy! I too had one that almost killed me and messed my fertility up even more than it already was. So thankful you finally got to have your miracle baby!
Congrats and may God through the intercession of Mother Mary bless every TTC Mum. I pray for you to have the easiest delivery in Jesus mighty name, Amen
38+3 been trying everything to get little one to come out since she’s a little big. Praying all the mama have safe deliveries. Thank you for these videos they are so helpful!
Got in labor with my second daughter at 1am but didn’t know it, had just this weird pain like menstruation pain. But started to poop myself out… first sign…. When I called hospital 3hours later to make sure it is not sign to go to hospital they insured me that this was not enough to come in. So took some painkillers and took a long shower. Still having this pain… once out of the shower my water broke ! So jumped to the car, but still no contractions. 3 mins later in the car I got my first contaction! Gosh! Didn’t make it to my hospital but another one on the way! Didn’t count red lights we missed 😂 When we got there they informed me I was opened by 10 saying: put yourself behind on the couch we will start pushing right away 😂 naturally without medical assistance… ok then! She came on the world 50 mins later after my water broke. This was 3 months ago, she is so beautiful and growing sooo fast 🥰
I had my baby! My labor was 5 hours. I woke up at 3 am thinking I was having intense gas pain. Made it to the hospital at 5:15am. Was checked at 5:30 and I was at 8cm. I begged for meds and they said they would give them to me when we got to labor room. Made it to the labor room 10 minutes later and I was at 10 cm and it was too late for the meds. I pushed for a long time though but the pushing gave me relief from those horrible contractions. My baby will be 2 days old soon. Hehe.
Please don't circumcise your baby it's unnecessary and traumatic. This is just recently started and it's not evidence-based medicine. It's pseudoscience and harmful which will be looked down on in the future.
40 weeks today! Thank you for your videos, I’ve been watching them my entire pregnancy and they have been super helpful. This will be my first child and I am so excited to finally meet him/her!
I am 15 weeks with my second boy. I started watching you when i was pregnant with my first son who is now nearly 2 years old. Your videos are amazing, informative and helpful. Thank you so much. ❤️
First time mom. 37 weeks and 2 days and I am 1 centimeter dilated now, so much pelvic pressure!!! (Due date october 20th) Thank you for your videos Diane!
Do lots of research from all points of view :) I've had hospital and home births and knowing what you want and don't want are SO important and what's even more important is making sure your husband/partner is on the same page and willing to speak up for you when you obviously have your mind somewhere else. Not everything is necessary and usually A LOT of things are an option and not required.
I am watching from Nigeria and learning a lot to help discuss with my wife. I have learned a lot and this makes my pregnant wife happy because I am involved in the process. thank you for the enlightenment and support.
I am 36 pregnant first time mom. I am very tired and sleepy these days. My legs are swollen and I walk like a duck now, my belly hurts too. All in all I can't wait for the epidural and to hold my baby girl in my arms. Thank you Diana, I am learning alot from you.
I'm 35 weeks & 5 days currently, I will be attempting my first VBAC in February. I'm praying to deliver a healthy babygirl. Thank you for all your videos and information over this time.
Currently 39 weeks on the dot! Ready for her to come out. Giving birth at a birth center. I'm living in The Netherlands but American. Excited for the experience. We get a midwife and labor nurses then a home nurse for postpartum help.
Love watching your videos! It's been 19 years since I had my baby so much has changed (or I've just forgotten lol) Now my daughter is 15 weeks pregnant 🤰 🥰
I’m 36 weeks and 3 days. My baby has dropped and I’m so excited to meet him! It’s been a really tough pregnancy, with hyperemesis being the worst part! But I’m just looking forward to meeting my sweet boy 🥰
I’m 36 weeks with my first. And it has been a journey, I’m 33 years old. These videos have been so helpful and be able to give me information in an effective way. I’m using a midwife and have a normal birth plan. Starting to get worried about labor and delivery as I haven’t done it before and it’s a new thing.
33 weeks diabetic type 2 my son almost 7 pounds my inducement date is September 27th taking 5 shots of insulin daily I’m so glad when this is over crazy blood sugar numbers daily
Congratulations 💕🤗 I’m on my 4th baby an I still research an watch everything like crazy everyone. My kids are spaced out 17,11,3, and this one so it’s not like they were back to back but still I feel like I start all over each time
Just hit 30 weeks and it's go time! Love all your videos and content. They have helped me better understand week-to-week fetal growth, symptoms, and what to expect in my pregnancy. This video, while I knew most of it already, reassured me of what is and is not going to be a part of my birth plan! Thank you!
Honestly just trying to prepare for the pain of the contractions and when my son is actually entering the world. First time being a mom and I am nervous but very excited because I finally get to see my baby after 9 months of wanting to know what he will look like, how healthy he will be and what he'll act like as a person in general. Just praying hard for a smooth birth and recovery. Praying for all other mothers as well out here, we can do it 💕 our bodies were made for this!
I’m 32 weeks pregnant with my first! I’ve already decided where to give birth, and my midwife delivers there often! All 9 of my nieces and nephews were born there :) Regardless I’m getting more and more nervous to give birth the closer I get, but it’s better to be prepared :)
28w and 5 days today! I've never seen such a complete step-by-step breakdown of what happens in the hospital! I live in a different country but I'm sure it's pretty simila... thank you so much for this!! 🥰😍
Hello Diana,I just delivered my baby girl three weeks ago and your videos have been helpful since I started that journey of pregnancy. Thanks alot my baby and I are in good health
I love your channel. I’m 28 wks pregnant It is a 13 yr gap between this pregnancy & my daughter. I had a c-section with her & had to put to sleep so I have no memory of the delivery process. This is so helpful!!
I’m 35 + 5 weeks pregnant 🤰🏻 and it my first baby. I’m 22 years old , I can’t wait to meet my baby girl 🥹💕 . I watched your videos since i was 7 weeks pregnant ! Thank you Diana I have been learning so much from your videos . 🙏🏻💕
I am 28 years old and I am a RN but terrified of the birthing experience. I have seen it many times but I am scared of the pain, thank you for the information, hopefully I become pregnant in the next year. 🙂
Hi Diana I am 30 weeks pregnant with my 3rd baby. I have 2 older boys 10 and 8 and this one is a girl! So 😊 I love love love your channel ❤️ I am in central California
39 weeks & 5 days today. I am praying to go into natural birth and everything goes smoothly 😩 planning on not getting an epidural and hoping things go right, I’m so excited yet so nervous #baby#1
Hi Diana!! Your videos have been everything to during my pregnancy. I'm currently 29 weeks and I'm super excited. We are planning on delivering at a hospital. Thanks for all the tips!!
38 weeks and I'm honestly not tired like most people say. I'm full of energy and just waiting on baby to make their entry. FTM here. Wishing you all good health, safe deliveries, beautiful babies and all the happiness in the world
Oh I'm so sorry to hear that. I found that stretching helps me. Lots of resting, minimal exercise at this stage. I don't know, I've got plenty energy to share. Take it easy momma. Wishing you a pleasant and positive birth experience
I'm 26 weeks in Australia 😊 so much of this information is very different in Australia - I.e. fetal monitoring is only done if medically indicated otherwise they use the doppler
I wish I had found you sooner! I’m 36+3 weeks today, and slowly but surely, I’m feeling more prepared for the arrival of our first baby because of helpful information like this! We live in Canada in a city with one children’s hospital, so no issues with wondering where we will go or insurance (birth is covered by universal healthcare). I didn’t know you could get certain birth controls at the time of delivery, I’ll be asking my doctor about that!
I am 32+2. We are delivering at a Birthing Center. We have chosen only Vitamin k as the 1 thing baby will get. We have chosen oral vitamin k as we feel very strongly about not breaking our babies skin. We will do natural birth and no circumcision for this boy. We are hoping he will be born on Daddys birthday, otherwise he is due on 10/1/22.
I am IN LOVE with your channel!!! I found you while I was browsing all the information and education I could get back when I was 3 months pregnant. I have found your videos beyond helpful and I come back to them time and again. I am due in about 4 weeks 4 days! Yay. It is our miracle rainbow baby and we are over the moon. I officially have swollen feet 😂 as of two days ago. I am so very thankful I found your page and I've been keeping up with your weekly pregnancy videos and everything in between. I appreciate all you do and the time you take to do this for us. Especially us first time mommas.

I am 39 weeks today, and this video really helped me figure out what is going to happen when i'll be having my baby girl! Very useful information thank you
I'm 33 weeks and i loved your weekly pregnancy series...But now the pregnancy is getting tiring and difficulty to sleep...Little bit scared of labor as it's my first time
Currently at 22weeks,5 days today, with my first baby dealing with asthma too pray for me,and I pray for all the expecting moms and does who are still seeking for the fruit of womb 🤰🙏🙏 thanks
21 weeks today with our rainbow baby! We had a stillborn last December at 20 weeks due to cervical incompetence, so when we found out I was pregnant again I had a cervical cerclage done at 13 weeks. Cerclage will be removed at 37 weeks in November and I have a feeling our little guy will be out within the following week lol
No matter what they did they could not track my contractions. I pressed the call button and say "I feel something" the nurse checked, I was crowning. she looked at the device and called it useless.
Wow!! Way to demonstrate literally everything wrong with OB care for pregnancy and labor. I didn’t hear her once even mention ‘informed consent’, or the shear fact that women have the right to be fully informed by their physicians desires medical interventions, and then chose to accept or decline ANY OF THEM based off what SHE WANTS for her labor and birth. Ladies… this woman is about 50 years behind on how she speaks of patients, and pregnancy. Search YT content about true “informed consent”, and learn your rights a human being in a hospital. Make a birth plan, and research the common medical interventions that hospitals want to FORCE on all birthing women, and decide if you think those are what you want…. Or not. You have the right to decline anything, and still receive respectful and honoring care by them. And if they don’t respond respectfully, you have the right to fire them on the spot, and the hospital is required to send in a new physician. Common OB pushed medical interventions that cause increased risk of birth complications to you and baby, are inductions of all kinds, pain medications which don’t even work on about 15% of women, IV catheters, and continuous fetal monitoring. These are forced on mamas like they are normal, and commonly issues and complications arise from their use, issues you were never even informed of being a possibility!! OB’s overall tend to view pregnancy and birth like a disease and illness that they think they need to manage. They don’t respect or view birthing as a natural human function, that simply needs to be supported and encouraged, so that the mama can safely birth how she wants to. The OB overly medicalizes the entire process, beginning to end, and then will be eager to rush you into an unplanned csection that profits them about $30k more, after all their interventions really screw up your entire birth and things stall out. If any of this bothers you to hear, and you want to be respected in your birth choices, consider hiring a personal Doula for your birth. And then consider being under the care of a traditional midwife for the delivery of your baby. My current midwife is employed at the hospital and I can even have my birth right there near all the help possible, should I need it. Or there’s birth center midwives, and even home birth midwives as well. The important thing is that you are respected and honored in your birth wishes, so you don’t become one of the statistics, which is currently that 1/4 women report an extremely traumatic birth experience postpartum, at the hands of these OB’s. Consider that mama. And God bless. 🙏🏽♥️
