I'm a foreigner living in Germany since almost 5 years. It's uncanny how accurate all of this is! I don't actually know about the BDSM stuff - I live far from Berlin - but work culture, services, bureaucracy, bread, cars, all exactly as I learned here in Mittelfranken. For years I thought people working in services really really hate me for some reason, turns out they just hate everyone, business as usual. It's a relief honestly. The words Müggelschlößchen and Tauberbischofsheim are awesome, well chosen! Took me several tries to be able to type them into Google and then additional time to figure out what they are. Man I would be royally effed with such safe words.
@@michaelwu7678they don't mean anything per se. Tauberbischofsheim is the name of a town. The "tauber" part of the word comes from the name of the river the town sits on, and the "bischofsheim" part means "bishops home", presumably because of a close connection the town had with a bishop of some rupute some time in history. Müggelschlößchen is the name of a restaurant located right near the Müggelsee "Lake Müggel" and the Schlößchen means something like "little castle" or maybe "manor". So yeah, they're both proper nouns and not "real words"

There were more illiterate people, based on this variable alone we can say that people were less educated back then because they could not read and therefore could not inform themselves. Now, one can argue that people are given too much information and most of it is not legitimate information, but information nonetheless. Better to be misinformed than not informed at all.

Yep, sad but true, not only Germany but most of the countries in Europe are struggling with similar issues and the same could be said across the pond in the US, seems like our culture is just an old story to tell about the "Good Ol' Glory Days" and yet we all feel forgotten and disappointed by our own governments.
