After months or even years of trying to get your ex back, it seems like nothing that you are doing is working. You've chased them for years, begged, pleaded but still, they don't want to get back together with you.
Clay Andrews shares his insights on how to get your ex to commit to you again - what they are thinking and how you can respond to their actions or where you are.
It is very important to establish that you would want a genuine conversation with your ex to start with and with transparency, talk about things that concerns the two of you. Listen and figure out ways to compromise with each other.
You have to be genuine and make them feel like their life is better with you in in and not stressful and dramatic if you're going to stick around.
It is also important to assure them that they are not walking back in the same relationship that they walked out off in the first place. Make sure that before you even try to get back together with your ex, you are already the better version of who you are from your previous breakup. Take note tho that you should be bettering yourself for you.
If they have decided to try to move on from you by getting on a rebound relationship, it is IMPORTANT that they end that too. It might be hard but it's the best thing to do.

Always remember “birds of a feather flock together “...chances r really good they where already communicating &planning a future together while you where still together. No matter wether that lasts r not shouldn’t be a concern or worry for you. Concentrate on yourself, self love an perseverance should be first and foremost. We live in a society now especially in relationships that is a “throw away society “ when things go bad or people get bored they look elsewhere always to think the grass is greener on the other side. Mostly all of rebounds etc. r looking for the same thing only to fail too because both parties show after awhile their own true colors of selfishness and either low esteem issues and or low moral values. Concentrate on yourself. 😇🙏

Before you do anything, find out what you need for you before you commit to your ex or anyone again, and ask yourself why you want to be with your ex again

I would say apologizing to your family etc. is not the "key" focus. They should love and support your decisions as an adult and understand that if you both are invested in each other they should be supportive. It might be a little uncomfortable at first but...everyone will survive. Unless there was abuse etc.

You’ll make it through..3 years here, concentrate on yourself, take time to do things you want to do...it’s not at all selfish to do WHAT YOU WANT NOW...biggest advice I can give is keep your mind and body busy with other activities, thoughts and prayers with ya 🙏😇

Hi clay am going through this at the moment. l trying everything to get my ex back he cheated on me more than once but l forgive him. He got a girl pregnant but she lied to him there was no child. Just to get married. And ruined our connection and relationships Only to use him and then go leave country, to get married to some other guy. It broke my heart and lost all trust in him with all the lying and cheating. Not been together for 2 and half years his still not finish marriage but she moved on there both Muslim but am not that was a big issue with religion and family but his family loves me. me and him are not talking at the moment he keeps coming in and out of my life confusing me l try everything to get him to talk and see l love him to bits but now his family are all flying the crap around telling him am bad l alway surported him and family wen they almost lost there home and now am no good only to be used am feed up clay and need your advice bcaz its driving me crazy bcaz he makes out he loves me and wants me back but he won't let me go or commit to me. @@truechampion6812 Pamela, I know that the situation is hard because you still have feelings for your ex. There are some relationships worth getting back, and there are those that you are better off with. Try assessing without any bias what is the kind of man you want to spend your future with? List it down and assess if this ex measures up to that. If not, you may want to focus on healing so you can then shift to finding the relationship that you truly deserve.

Hi Clay my ex lives in California and me in Florida I had visited California twice since the break up to convince him not to break up and now he has been sending me events in California and asking me wheter I want to attend it . I frankly don't want to go to California again without any sort of commitment or answer from his side due to distance and also my mental health has degraded since the break up . What should I do ?

It has best to be honest. I understand that some people may not fully understand where we are coming from but at the end of the day, we also need to prioritize our own self and well-being as much as getting back together with our ex.

So my ex and I broke up in June 2020. We started talking everyday and hanging out in August. But since December, he is distant again. I feel like I'm back at square one. I'm texting all the time and sharing my feelings. He responds but is very short. He also says 'idk' about hanging out and then cancels any plans. He is making excuses to not give me the few things of mine that are at his place. He also tells me it's unfair for him to want me to wait for him. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do.

Give him space, do something that helps you feeling better like a hot bath, good food, meeting friends, go for a walk with listening to some latino music etc :) Give him the CHANCE to miss you.... He wants a pause, but I think the door is not closed yet. Just give him and yourself some space. When he reaches out, be friendly, easygoing, cute, happy and look your best. Tell him of something new you did this week. Like a new hobby or project.

Hi Omar, it can be tricky if you would propose to a person whom you are not in a relationship yet. The fact that you mentioned "t yeah on valentines wanted give her a 💍 engagement ring but i dont know how she will take it because we arent even together together", I think you already got your answer in there.
