"I don't care if Jonathan Davis is singing a song about slapping someone's ass, it sounds bad ass and hype at the same time that gives me energy so I will keep listening to it."
Check out Living Sacrifice's early death metal albums 'Reborn' and 'The Hammering Process'. The Hammering Process is one of my favorite metal albums. The song Bloodwork is a must listen.
I like nu, heavy, thrash, death, metalcore, deathcore, black, power, progressive, alternative, industrial, groove, doom, slam, stouner, and subgenres of it I LIKE METAL
Me too. I would say this band is very different from what I usually listen to, but I like the atmosphere and the sounding, they're truly unique and inspiring. By the way, you have a good music taste according to your videos :)
I’m into all the sub genres and my goal is to own every album by every artist in metal by the time I die obviously I know artists with keep producing but I want to own the metal equivalent to a encyclopedia when I’m old and grey 🤘🔥🤘🔥🤘🔥🤘
Fellow Christian, I don't really consider Christian metal a genre, I mainly only listen to Christian metal though because outside of that metal is one of the darkest genres of music out there. So while it is technically my 'favorite', that wouldn't be my answer. My favorite is thrash.
I miss the early extreme/thrash metal between 1981 and 1985. It was just the right amount of intensity without being too cartoonish like Black Metal and death metal. You know... that sound only early Venom, Exodus, Destruction, Kreator, Slayer, and Sodom had.
This video is just made for fun, no attempt to criticize a certain music taste was made :) What's wrong with 0:14 though? What's wrong about being cute and supportive?
That Christian Metal joke was perfect! Lol as a Brother in Christ, I know the pain of realizing we have Theocracy, Stryper... did I mention Theocracy? and that's pretty much it for the real good ones...
I know, right? And most of the times they are just very plain and shallow lyrics. My friend once showed me Narnia. Hated it. I'll make sure to check Horde out. Not metal, but you probably know Third Day, right? The lyrics are pure poetry and the songs are a great mix of classic rock and country. But to me, the lyrics are the part that really make a difference to me
Whats Kawaii metal and does it really exist? Also pretty accurate since my favourites are Thrash and prog metal but in the end I love all metal. Except for Christian Metal. For me that is too cringe
Heyyyyy so I know this comment is a year old, but in case you’re still wondering it does exist lol. The band he showed is I think Ladybaby(?) but I don’t know much about them. The most popular kawaii metal band and the one that invented it is Babymetal, but they’ve moved away from kawaii metal a bit now that they’re older
I only know slam brutal death metal (stuff like Abominable Putridity). If that's what you mean, use the death metal one ("You are probably very cute and supportive in real life").
@@user-os2dn9hj8x like Electric Wizard, Acid Bath, Mephistofeles are stoner/sludge metal bands that i only listened to them. The album Come My Fanatics from Electric Wizard is fucking tough, my favorite album from this band is Dopethrone, totally in my opinion totally legendary. Their songs are about drugs, sex, satanism, murders and more of that things.
Unfortunately, I didn't even know the term when I was making the video 😅 Also, I still don't know much about the genre. Are there any bands you recommend me to check out?
I do admit I don't know much about symphonic metal (I am more interested in other genres). I will get familiar with Epica, Within Temptation, Sonata Arctica, and other bands in that genre. However, I wouldn't say my characteristic given for symphonic metal is way more inaccurate than others. Most jokes in the video are built on stereotypes regarding metal genres.
@@user-os2dn9hj8x you should check out EPICA. It's the best symphonic metal around. They have progressive, death, power and even black metal influences. Unlike other symohonic metal or power metal bands which are mostly fantasy and dragon stuff, their themes revolve around real events. 9/11 attack, terrorism, suicide bombing, religion indoctrination, virtual reality stuff, quantum physics, meditation, drug addiction, natural calamities and other stuff. Try to check, "Essence of SIlence (official live). They're heavy as compared to their colleague bands.
I must admit: I highly approve of the picture associated with symphonic metal in this video. Seeing the Goddess always makes me smile.😊 That being said, Mark Jansen's lyrics are DEFINITELY more serious than Tuomas his fantasy stuff which only really makes sense to himself. I like a band that doesn't exist anymore. After Forever was a great combination of symphonic and prog, with some residual death metal which IMO Epica still has too much of.
