The stones over the fireplace are huge! You didn’t really see it until Simon was standing on the ladder next to them, the stones are half the length of Simon’s legs. The stones are beautiful, when that fireplace is cleaned up it is going to be a show piece
That is probably the one that was behind cabinets when they first bought the convent. It looks better than the one in the kitchen did before restoration, and that one looks fabulous now.
Even though the dining room is only a shell, it is already taking enough shape to picture how it will have its own beauty. Walking that wing will be such a memorable treat.
I am SO impressed with all the talented supervisor and his workers, the kind and amount of materials, the tasteful design decisions, the filmography. Everybody’s kind too. Just wonderful.
Yanis the noggin master has big muscles! Great progress again and I love the name and date in the concrete slab. So traditional. The fireplace in that other room is enormous, like the one in the kitchen. That room would be a lovely lounge/sitting room with big club chairs and a brass fender. You could really go to town on luxurious upholstery and curtains. The convent is beginning to smile again. 😄
The way you guys work together is like a well oiled machine. I love how confident Yanis is as he works. It doesn't matter if he's climbing up ladders & scaffolding, or walking across joists. I loved that Simon was teaching Yanis yet another skill. I must say I was impressed with the size of Yanis's bicep. I wasn't surprised though given how much he does. He's a beast! The dining room could very well be ready to decorate by the end of the month, or shortly thereafter. Great job guys! 💪❤️🤗
I can always tell when Simon is teaching! He is right with Yanis explaining step by step how and why. Would love to hear some more of that commentary throughout the day.
Brilliant idea to construct a pub. The convent has to support itself and a pub is in keeping with the country's culture. Watching from Oklahoma City in the U.S.
I have been watching this channel for as long as it has been on. I really enjoy watching something positive with all the evil that is visible in the world today. I'm commenting today because my cat loved your video today. Not sure if it was the sounds or that quick movement that captured her attention, but her reaction amused me. Thanks.
Billy,Mic,Yanis,Simon. Beautiful job with replacing the floor. Little by little the work gets done. Until tomorrow. Please, take care and stay safe. Love you guys. 🍺🍺🍺🍺👍🌞🇺🇸🌈😇🙏🕊❤️🌹
Simon and Yanis are a power team! Brilliant work gentlemen! It would be great if you could do an interview with Simon. Loved the one with Yanis. Would love to know more about Simon, how long he has been doing this, etc. He has taught Yanis well.
This is absolutely incredible! The convent can smile again because so much care, determination, and compassion has gone back into it. Be safe always and have a blessed week everyone!
It is so satisfying after my day of work (waterproofing the homemade swimming pool, shifting metal for a new drain, emptying the trailer of more metal for tomorrow, and wash it out) then I can come in., make and J D and Dry, sit down and catch up with you guys spending the same energy. It makes me feel like the end of the job is near before the next bit begins. You guys always make me feel better about my efforts. Thank you all.
15:48 Simon look's absolutely shattered today :( ....The area re done took no time to fix great work ...The convent is like waiting for a Beautiful Butterfly to appear it's going to be breath taking ❤ with Billy's taste and a hard working team ❤
As a teacher of elementary kids & a nurse who had to teach pts & families. I VALUE both how Simon explains & teaches & how all the Pethricks also do this quite naturally. Such talent & rare.
I love that y’all are making a pub in the convent, ever since it was first mentioned it’s been the room in most excited about, second to the library that is
I watch you almost everyday, except when I am visiting my Daughter and Grandson out of town and almost everyday I have to “subscribe” again. I sure wish RU-vid would fix the issue. Your channel is not the only one.
Maybe it’s your equipment, never had any problem, been following the Pettrick family since they started. Even when I travel, no problem. I use I Pad🇨🇦🤔🤔🇨🇦
The room with the bricked up fireplace may have been for visitors to the convent, such as parents or relatives of the nuns, it was common for some orders to allow this.
I don't know how much extra work it would be for you Billy, but I would love to see a map of the ground floor showing the areas that you are working in? You pop up regularly in rooms like at the end of the video today and I have no idea where they are in relation to the kitchen lol. If you could highlight that room on a map quickly that would be awesome!
A lot of interesting rooms to tackle once the dining room , hallway/entrance, and library near completion. Yaaayyyy,,,we won’t be short of videos for some time to come!🥰
The dining room (rectory) is taking shape and will be quite lovely. It was interesting to see the other rooms and find that perhaps "repairs" won't be too complicated.
Don’t you think that there’s tremendous potential for 2 ballrooms/meeting spaces on that floor above where the old fireplaces sit? The more you progress with the renovation of this intriguing complex, the more it’s looking like a fabulous hotel/ convention space to me. Keep on with the keeping-on because you’re doing a fabulous job!
I’m from the United States I don’t always catch you when you start your videos I watch them everyday when you post them though. I started watching Edd and Anna love them and subscribed right away then they mentioned Michael Doing It Ourselves and watched his videos and subscribed then Michael posted about your channel Billy I’ve loved you all from afar I get a little sad when the videos end because I could watch you all for hours Edd &Anna Michael and you Billy you all make my day a little brighter so thank you for all your videos 💜💜
At 13;34, this room would make an excellent common/meeting room with large fireplace. Knock down the adjacent glass wall and you have a large room to place a couple sets of sofas.
Billy the room with the hole in the ceiling could be replastered using new plaster board and skimmed to repair any damage as it looks like the beams don't need replacing . Saving you some money for other renovation projects at the convent .
Great job, all. The floor looks great. Yanis, you put your mark on it. Now, everyone will spell your name correctly. Billy, you are fading before our eyes.❤
13:46 with that glass wall it was most likely a quiet room that people could read or quietly visit with each other without al the sounds of a convent or hospital to bother.
My Aunt was a Nun..and the room with the big Fireplace at the end of the Video here, was used as a Receiving Room..where the Nuns visiting Family would sit and visit with their loved One..I bet this is what it was used for.. great video..your making such progress...
I was a bit nervous when you announced you would be using a variety of music genres, but so far this last month I have not once had to sit with my hand on the volume button as I have to at some sites. Thank you for your choices (so far.)
