Oh Billy, you have my heartfelt understanding about bridezillas. I’ve been decorating wedding and other events for twelve years, and I’m about done. I don’t know what’s worse, bride/momzillas or fund raisers with too many chiefs and non of them paying the bill. The room is coming along nicely! Excellent work gentleman!
Excellent work. I think if I went to France. I would know how to get to get to Brick o nice explanation Simon. Looks like Alex's dog has made itself at home
Yes not forgetting mumzillas they can be much worse than the bride. In my experience as a bridal seamstress they tend to look for problems where there aren’t any gggrrr
Yanis, what a guy. It's amazing how quickly he's picked up his trade skills. If you go back to the first posts when Simon first came on board, he had to talk him through every step. Now, he is telling Simon what he needs. Testament to Simon's skills in passing on his skills. And all this with a language barrier. Just shows that if you have the correct temperament, anything can be achieved. ❤
Billy is looking mighty fine these days. I’d love to see a work man’s runway show. lol I’m a 🎶Worker(instead of model) you know what I mean.🎶🎶 I can do my little turn on the catwalk on the catwalk…🕺🪅‼️🎼lol. I hope you know what song I’m talking about. 😂🤗
I bought my tool belt at a car boot sale for £0•50. They wanted a £1 but the stitching was coming undone so I cheekily negotiated.... knowing that I had a curved sewing needle and fine fishing line with which to repair it at home. 😂😂😂 I use it for gardening all the time - I look like Builder Barbie.😜🤪😅 Saves losing tools in amongst the triffids.
Dining room is coming along now. It will be a huge and dramatic gathering space! Can also not help noticing that you Billy are changing physically, looking slimmer, stronger, healthier. Carry on.
Lots going on today , the wisteria will look stunning when it flowers Billy. Simon and Yannis working so hard. Even Lela was everywhere today 😄🥰🐶xxx💕💕💕
Great video today. Simon's explanation of the screws in the plasterboard made perfect sense. The wisteria is growing well. Brico is still taking your money and Lela is a great supervisor - so laid back. As for weddings, they are fine, it is just the stress they create and people's expectations. 😄
Thank you Simon for explaining parts of the different jobs you are working on. I do all my own renovations on my little cottage and I always learn something new from you. Thank you Billy for sharing your convent renovations. Just love your channel!
Simon is awesome at everything he does. Everything from hammering to instructing to teaching us viewers. I don't know which one has the best manners, Simon or Yanis. I think it's a draw. You're all beautiful people.
Simon, you should teach at Tech school. You have a wonderful way of explaining things! Thank you! And I’ll be thanking you more once I remove the old suspended polystyrene tiles from my new (old) home in Perpignan. All the old beams will be exposed, and I will need to insulate and finish the spaces, just as you and Yanis are doing.
Wonderful how Leyla can sleep anywhere …on top of a load of plasterboard?? Simon is going great guns and Yanis improves every day. Lucky man Billy👏👏👏🤞❤👌🥳🥳
Great team work and getting the job done. The kitchen was trial and error and this one is running smoothly and quickly. Be finished in no time at all. lol Have a wonderful day
This whole project of Love Sweat & Tears has not been easy... But You All are doing such a Great Job! And allowing Us to enjoy the walk with You is a Pleasure ! I tip my hat👒 🥳 Thank You All 💖🫶💖👏👏
the wisteria will be icing on the cake! I wonder if this is Layla's favourite GIG? she seems smitten with Yanis et al!!! It is exciting to see the exterior of the Convent as well. I am sure that Simon will be happy to have the ceiling drywall finished! Great filming Alex!!!
I feel your pain about bridezillas. I used to design and hand make wedding invites. After a bride and her groom tried to run some kind of game with me and not pay for the several hundred invites I hand made I said no more. I occasionally get asked if I will do them but I refuse politely and direct them to an online printing service.
Having worked many a wedding in a past life, if i never see another one ever again it will be too soon, Bridezillas are the worst, but mothers of the bride top it as far as i'm concerned. I think all that are or were part of that world feel you BIlly.
Thanks for answering all the questions everyone has. I'm sure some people are being critical when they ask but some of us are just honestly curious. Believe it or not, while I may not be renovating an old building the mental approach you take and explain in your work I find helpful in my own projects.
After watching Alex's blog today, it's like magic to see his beautiful work in action. Simon, Alex has come a long way , you have tranformed him and his English is improving, giving him more confidence. Phil should ask yennis to be a bartender, even though I know he has his own.
I HAVE WISTERIA INY GARDEN ...OH DEAR !!! In the last 25 years I've had to cut it back to the actual ground it grows like the clippers within five years my house WAS LIKE SOME. Over grown garden ...BUT ... WOW. It looked PHANOMENAL so within. Five years your convent I promise willm be over grown just BEAUTIFUL. ..it really does look amazing.
France doesn’t allow invasive species of wisteria sold in the country so the wisteria they have won’t dig into the wall…at least that’s what Billy explained in a previous video 🙂
I didn’t realize wisteria grew so fast. Billy if you put another wire up now next the existing one you can hang string lights to light the blooms up. Thanks Simon I was wondering about the abundance of screws.
Billy, the king of innuendo, acting all innocent when Alex made one had me cracking up 😂 Don’t worry, Billy, we all know you’re a sweet, clean minded lad. Pure as the driven tarmac!
You take us to Brico so much that….. if I ever came there…. I could drive to Brico🤣🤣 The only problem would be I would be on the wrong side of the road!! I wonder if that would be a problem!!!🤣😂🤣😂 You all are doing a great job!!!
I would like to point out that here are only two countries in the perpetual drive on the left hand side of the road. So how does that make all the rest of us drive on the wrong side?
I remember in the early 70s working at the former home of Clark Gable in California and seeing the drywall crew bending sheet rock for the curving stairway walls. They would lay the sheet ( 4 ft x 8 ft) over a 55 gal barrell lieing on side on ground, and gently mist with a garden hose until both 4 ft ends touched the ground. While still damp, carry into house and install. Then it would dry in place making a beautiful curve.
You might want to take the tips off the leading shoots of the wisteria Billy to encourage them to bush out a bit and not just try to climb as high as they can. I'm not an expert so others may say different or yes but in the spring or something. But you don't want long spindly plants.
As always another lovely video! Thank you all for always making our day with your talent and wisdom! Take care and be safe. You're always in our prayers🙏🙏🙏
I'm addicted to watching the build. Will you have a big party for all your viewers when you are done? It would be so great to meet everyone and celebrate your project at the convent!
Maybe Phil’s trailer would be suitable to transport the carriage in the garage to the Moon’s. Great video. The wisteria adds some yin to the dominant yang building.
Love watching you working Billy. And this the comedy duo Simon & Yanis are totally amazing, So is Mike & Demolition Man Steve. But Can you please please ask Sadie to send Stan over once in a while?
