Today we're looking at what's in my convention adventure bag and some tips on what to pack for conventions ^^/ Enjoy! Follow me at: littlecloudcuriosity.com / curiouscloudy / littlecloudcuriosity / curiouscloudy
Ladies, I'd recommend bringing tampons, pads or panty liners JUST IN CASE it comes early or if you're already on it. I know it sucks to be at a convention and have your period but it is sooo unsanitary to try and use one tampon or pad for the day.
hey , how much stuff do you need to bring to fix cosplays? I've never been to a con or cosplayed before and would like to know because my first con is in july and I'll be cosplaying.
I would bring the makeup I would be using because for all you know you might start crying or it might start raining outside and your makeup gets ruined and it all is in the hotel room or at home so I would bring it in my bag for cosplay!
You have everything sorted out!! Our cons here are waaay smaller so half of this never crossed my mind but once I manage to go to a bigger one this will come in handy!
Holy shit I literally bring no more than money, snacks and a lot of space to store stuff in xD Well the cons I go to are way smaller than Anime North as well
I brought tissues. Lots and lots of tissues. There's always that one anime or AMV that will make you cry buckets. Also: facial tissue serves for toilet paper if you find out too late that the stall you just used has run out of t.p.
I know I'm literally 9 years late, but this video was SO SO helpful! I've never been to a con, but I'm super excited to change that. I love that you included all the things that you never really think about until you're hot, dehydrated and elbows deep in art on your 3rd day. So helpful for newbies like me! :D
@curiouscloudy Your advice came in super handy!! I went to my first con in december and it was a BLAST! I had so much fun and I was prepared for anything lol
I love anime cons, even though I've only been to 2. ^-^ I really want to go to another one over the summer and maybe even go to more events because I haven't been to alot of those. I've never really brought a bag to the cons I've gone to but now that I think about it I probably should
At Comic Con they were giving free poster tubes with shoulder STRAPS on the for easy carrying around the convention so I would advise getting those tubes with a carry strap.
I dont know if you have/need one of these but its handy for streaming anime but bring a wi-fi hotspot device as well as some thing to read if you run out of juice on your computer or phone or whatever ;)
What I took to my first convention (very helpful actually): Note: some cons have different rules for bags than others. My con had a bag check at the gate if you couldn’t just view inside so bring a tote bag vs a purse -Deodorant -Charger (taking pictures and video’s drains battery ) - Plastic Folder (you know your gonna buy that Bakugou print, don’t lie to me) - Lip balm/ Lip gloss( eating, drinking, and doing that nervous thing where you rub your lips together will wear off lip balm. Especially if the Ac is kicking or it’s cold out....well it’s summer as I write this but yknow) -Water!/Snacks! (Check your conventions rules for bringing in outside drinks/food first though) - Makeup wipes/ skin wipes (you’ll sweat which means things come off or your skin will get oily af. Not a fun feeling)
I have this horrible habit of forgetting my convention badge at my house or in the hotel room. Once I was driving to a convention with my mom and I started freaking out because I forgot my convention badge but luckily my mom got a badge too so she gave me hers. Thx for the idea of putting my convention badge on my backpack XD that's really going to help in the future!
THINGS IN MY CONBAG: ID !!!! I AM clumsy so I have one of those cheap pocket first aid kits, a travel sewing kit for cosplay emergency (also duct-tape), basic make-up for cosplay basic travel meds: Pepto-Bismal (also DONT eat the pizza at the DT lol), Tylenyol, Votarren (topical muscle cream see above re: clumsy). A pocket umbrella or rain-poncho if it looks like rain (it looks like rain this year 2014)
I've only been to one con and while I got a pass for all three days, I was just so tired, so my mum is only getting me a one day pass this year for my birthday :). Also I would advise to bring a trolley if you can. I didn't take one last year, and I was stuck carrying around my bag, my lunch and the mech I got. (I didn't use a backpack :(...) Also thankfully the con is at a place I go to for the Sydney Royal Easter show so I know the lay-out. I also happend to take the train there, but it isn't that far from the con. Also thanks for some of the tips, I will also have more money this year so I get more Hetalia :D.
I'm gonna attend my first anime convention nxt week and this vid. totally helped me. Thx so much :D and WAITT!!!! Is that Usa-chan?!! O_O Are you a fan of Ouran Host Club??!! XD
(this is for the people who cosplay at cons) Bring a small cosplay repair kit! Not all cons have stations that you can repair your cosplay at. Trust me, it really helps to have that on you.
If youre competing in a cosplay event you should bring all your materials for the competition, video, songs, voice overs, pictures, props, laptop if you need it. Also, I bring a list of everything I need for the convention TO the convention. Makes it easy to remember everything during the day when I need it and also when Im leaving for the day. And youre gonna wanna bring your makeup like someone said and your hair tools in case you need a touch up. Or even if you need a touch up for your costume armor or props, it might help to have some of that onhand, if its not too heavy or messy. Alot of poeple bring business cards to the cosplay but Im not willing to pay for business cards, I will just bring small print outs or small hand written pieces of paper with my contact info on it. Just print a few pieces of paper with your contact information appearing on each piece of paper repeatedly, cut them all out, or cut a sheet of paper into small pieces and write yor information on each piece.
Could you record some panels of Anime North and uploaded it to your RU-vid channel, please? I would love to hear some of the news at the convention. I would be so grateful if you did.
whenever I go to cons, I usu ally coaplay and I alway bring my cosplayers makeup and makeup wipes because you never know when you're going to touch up or something.
At my fist convention I didn't bring a camera............ and I didn't have a phone so I was really mad that I couldn't take pictures but my friend had her phone but the front camera only work some of the time so.........
what if it doesn't match your cosplay? I know it sounds stupid, but I'm going in with a semi ballgown, and wearing my big black backpack isn't that great with it.
If you have a ballgown and someone asks for photo's, just throw it under there!! It's great to hide, no one will steal it and when you're done, just grab it from underneath and head off!
When I cosplay I just put my bags down when someone asks for my pic. Or if its like a group photo, we all put our bags in the same place and take a picture together.
Well, hopefully you backpack doesn't contrast too much in color. But it doesn't really matter, honestly. If you're going with someone else and they won't be in the picture, kindly ask them to hold your bags. Or, like other people have said, put it under your gown near your feet.
Here's the thing with plastic bottles: You don't want to leave them in your car, esp. if it happens to be a hot day. The water won't be any good if you do.
You don't have to have a cosplay, but if you're wearing a cosplay, you want to wear your cosplay TO the con. Putting on your cosplay at a con is living hell so put it on when you wake up, like regular clothes, go to the con/ walk proudly in the city with your cosplay on and arrive to the con with your stuff already on.
I really feel sorry for pale people or people who get sunburnt easily because I would always forget to put on sunscreen and I hate the feeling of sunscreen itself.. but woah, I've never even seen SPF 60! O-O ok I've never put sunscreen on in my entire life... I've never got sunburnt and I am kinda tanned but I don't really like it.. But this will definitely come in handy for the con I'm going to next weekend!
Depends on who you are, how much you're willing to spend, and what you want. Art prints range from $10-$20 (usually always $20) for one and maybe $30 for two from the same artist. It depends on the size and who the artist is sometimes. Whenever I go to cons I buy shit loads of prints so I spend well over a hundred dollars on just art. Then to top that off, normal merchandise isn't cheap either. Keychains can reach up to $10 and pins $3, figurines way over $20 usually and plushes about $15 and up. So cons are super expensive and if you're going to one, you should be ready to spend A LOT. And don't not bring any money if you're telling yourself you won't buy anything 'cause I can guarantee you'll find something unique there that you'll really want and then you'll be upset cause you didn't bring cash.
gaming with Oivia And Mia you could go with your parents but if they want my take you you're out of luck and you'll just have to wait but if an adult brings you when you're 12/13 you could go around alone but you'll need a ride and someone to pay for a few things. Maybe ask for a trip to a con as a Christmas or birthday present
