The inner spacer plays a crucial role; if it has been shortened due to the stress on the previous installation, you must ensure that it does not bounce around on the next installation. It must be tightened between the inner rings of both bearings or the whole job will be useless.

“Very important: drips of sweat, cursing, completely normal part of the process,” THANK YOU. Replacing bearing on a 20yr old bike and thought I was crazy because it was so much more dif than other videos I’ve watched on bearing replacement. 🙏🏻

Hey bro I got a set of theses ceramic bearings ... I’m about to install them and I’m watching this video to help me out .. you mentioned you ain’t gonna be using the dust seals no more .. is that because you damaged them removing them and putting new ones in .. ?? Or your just not running seals at all ?? Thanks 🙏

Might be a stupid question to some. But I’m curious as to why you put the blue tape on the tire?

@Brooks Cumberland - this install video is just part of the build series. The tape is used to easily show the before/after changes in rolling resistance: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-mdROhLTKK-A.html

I would like to install WWB in my stock 2021 M1000RR Competition wheels that are carbon fiber. They look a little different in color (carbon fiber wheels)than the wheels that came on my 2020 BMW S1000RR and it made me decide to investigate more so I took off both back wheels. So me being me I decided to go get both wheels removed to help further my investigation after being told they were identical. THE SHOP NOW RETRACTED THAT STATEMENT AFTER I PAID $100 JUST TO VISUALLY INSPECT BOTH WHEELS TO UNDERSTAND THE WEIGHT DIFFERENCE MY SCALES WERE SHOWING ME! THE M1000RR Wheel doesn't have TPS like the 2020 S1000RR and visually subtle cosmetic differences. I'm worried the hubs might different on the M1KRR and when I installed WWB on a friends 21S1K the frozen bearings went in with very little pressure but snugged up firm after the warm hub cooled (WIFE BLOW DRYER HEATED ONLY LOL) Ive been told they are the same but they also reinstalled both tires and refunded me the $100 for bringing the differences to their attention. I've got OCD when it comes to working on my bikes and figured I would ask the best of the best if the K66-K67 bearings are the same? BMW did change the gearing on the K-66 M1KRR to 17/46 but I already changed both bikes over to 520 17/45 which came stock on the S1KRR K67 so Im thinking the only other change would be in the hub. Sorry for the long msg but its hard to get/give advice w/o all the details. Thanks for any advice.

You're laying the wheel on the ground and putting undue stress on the rotor. How come you didn't set on top of the wood blocks you had to raise the wheel off the ground?

My thoughts exactly.

You said you put in wd40 to help slide it in. Wd40 eats dust seals

No. Dust and dirt eats dust seals and WD-40 attracts both. That's why we only use Mobil 1 grease in the bearings and the part of the seal that touches the spacer.
