Right?! And her reaction from 2:07-2:18 .... Completely understandable and it says it all. She handled that very, very well, especially given what a gut-punch that had to have been. Poor Kristen.
@@justrelax1539 As someone who also saw them the nights they occurred, I am quite shocked that those events occurred within one week considering how low the odds are of even bringing the million-dollar wedge to the bonus round in the first place. I was also quite saddened to see such losses occurring so close to each other.
@@deja.vunathan he’s always like that when somebody loses the million dollars like that. He feels so bad. He reacted like this so much back in 2001 to 2006 when $100,000 was treated like a huge deal on wheel. I don’t think anything was as painful as the one from five days prior when someone missed out on the million dollars solving the puzzle just after the buzzer.
I could just sense she wanted to just burst into a river of tears right there on the spot. Man, these Million Dollar losses seem to be on a rise lately! There are more Million Dollar losers than winners and it's getting super annoying!
@@hiltonlive32grnrngr I mean not really you watch game shows to be entertained and epic fails and funny answers is what make them entertaining. Not people winning large sums of money
Z is always a tricky letter to get. So it was basically the puzzleboard’s fault for making that answer unsolvable for her. Z is not an easy letter to imagine in a puzzle like this.
Pat Sajak’s “uhhhhhhh.....look 💁🏻♂️” made her laugh though and cheered her up pretty good. That’s why Pat’s the best. I still feel very sad she didn’t win though 💗🙏.
The Trebek “Double Dare” would have come to my mind on that puzzle which indicated they had to take a break and when they came back, they didn’t have time to complete the game.
ouch... it had to be "annoying buzzer" couldn't think of anything else. the last million dollar winner was susan manchester in 2014... the season 36 million dollar loss was even worse... a relatively easy solve "FLIPPING THROUGH PAGES", but Kaia failed to beat the buzzer, and there was the "BAKED ZUCCHINI" bonus puzzle a few years back.
Another bummer with a capital “B” and stay away from Michael Taylor, Shaun Shaffer and Jimmy Ruska, the three guys who always declares a $100,000 and/or $1,000,000 technical win on Wheel of Fortune.
I had it too and usually I struggle with the bonus puzzles. Probably because I’ve dealt with too many annoying buzzers in my life. All that trauma made me not forget.
This is what happens in an alternate weird universe when it is storming with your tears, and you don’t have an umbrella on you, walking down the footpath on the side of the road… and a truck drives past at the most inconvenient time and drenches your clothes in the liquid. 😞
This one hurts because we were too fresh from the disappointment of “flipping through pages”, but unlike that puzzle, she wasn’t going to solve this puzzle without calling a z. When she got the a and b revealed (first letter of each word), I thought she might have a chance, but then you’re thinking of possibilities, you’re not going to think of buzzer in 10 seconds or less without some clue. Maybe if Pat had given a clue like “This is what you’ll hear in 10 seconds if you don’t solve the puzzle”, she may have gotten it. But they aren’t allowed to give those kinds of clues. I bet next time the million dollar space is landed on in the bonus round, the contestant will solve the puzzle because we’re due. We’ve had four opportunities in the last 14 plus months where the only thing missing was solving the bonus puzzle. That’s as many opportunities as in the previous 9 years, and 3 of those 4 resulted in a million dollar win.

It's NEVER a good idea to pick THING in the BR. Almost always, the puzzle was going to be a nasty one. And recently with the Bonus Category choices, WHAT ARE YOU DOING is second banana to THING in puzzle difficulty. A lot of people have picked WHAT ARE YOU DOING in the Bonus Round and Harry has an evil trick up his sleeve for that category too. UGH. For future contestants, do NOT pick THING OR WHAT ARE YOU DOING...Harry has a knack for evil puzzles in both those categories for the BR.
They need to either get rid of it or make it easier. Currently, you need to get the million tag, not go bankrupt that round, get the most money total (which high score can be negated by disproportionate last group puzzle), spin tiny wheel and land on the right million mini-tag.
So disappointing, Kirsten should've called the "Z" instead of "D", seriously guys, we need a Big Million Dollar Comeback soon! Hopefully by the end of the season we find ourselves a Million Dollar Win
Calling the Z probably would have been the only way she got that, but who on earth would have called a Z? I can tell you that I certainly wouldn't have.
The only time I saw someone call a "Z" in the bonus round was on 12/19/08 when the contestant figured out "Jigsaw Puzzle" from the RSTLNE. That was actually kinda cool.
They should replace the Million Dollars Envelope and Wedge and $100,000 Envelope and they should replace the $100,000 with a Two Million Dollars Envelope And Replace The One Million Dollars Envelope and Wedge and replace with a Ten Million Dollars Envelope and Wedge.
