This fandom, this hype. As someone who has been waiting for 20 years, and for others who have been waiting since the first book. Dude this is making me cry. I am a 35 year old man and I feel like a little kid again. It brings me back to good times and good memories. These reactions give me good energy and make my heart weep. Kinda lame but that's my vibe. It honestly doesn't matter about the show anymore. It makes me happy that these books I loved for a long time have made thousands happy. I hope it just promotes people reading and writing so that people can keep dreaming beautiful stories. I am rambling but I have had a few drinks in celebration and I am vibing.

THANK YOU! This has been a bigger slog than the last 6 books. WoT has been optioned to what seems like every studio out there ever since LOTR hype started 20 years ago. Everyone wanted the next fantasy epic, and all we got was Dungeons and Dragons and Eragon. ( I won't include Harry Potter cuz those books aren't even close to this level)

It’s crazy to know that Madeleine Madden was actually thrown off that cliff into the water. Just with the trailer, how she interacts with the fans, and seeing her talking about her experiences with the show, I already love her as Egwene, she is absolutely perfect

So from what I’ve caught that stuff with egwene in the river is her becoming a woman ceremony. But the cool stuff is the symbolism with the colours and the metaphor Jordan used for controlling Saidar, like surrendering to the flow of a river and by surrendering you can control, so they’re making it quite literal. So yeah chefs kiss for that scene
Yeah, I'm glad that I wasn't filmed while watching it for the first time. I was in awe...so much so that I cried at the end. To see my dreams come true. To see this series realized in the visual format, is just so emotional. I'm actually tearing up as I'm writing this right now. THIS is going to be epic. I've asked around and watched numerous breakdown videos and discussions. So, I now have a basic understanding of pretty much all the scenes...and NOW I'm even more pumped. Thanks for sharing this video with us (fans/family of the WoT). Stay the way you are. Thanks. BTW...I'm 55 years old. I've lived with this series for so many years...that I couldn't judge another on how hyped they are. I'm there with you all.

I love the stark difference between book readers and people who haven't read the series. There is the obvious attachment but also the references book readers catch
That shot of Rand smiling is going to hurt in later seasons? It already hurts! And don’t be embarrassed! Some of us are almost twice your age and were equally hyped, refreshing Twitter repeatedly waiting for the release.
"Who's this guy that's crying" made me laugh. I've read this series twice, and know the series of missteps that were taken on this stories way to the screen. Fans are finally being rewarded.

I absolutely adore the passion you show. I've got my issues with some things in the show as a purist, but trying to appreciate the fact that we're finally getting a screen adaptation of one of my all time favorite series. Will enjoy seeing your further reactions.
This series has been part of my life since EotW first came out. As a lifelong fan I am extremely happy with what we have seen so far. I find all of the reaction videos to be the best part of being able to watch the trailer over and over again! Your reaction was absolutely wonderful.
I love your reaction, along with seeing you on The Dusty Wheel as well. Your enthusiasm is great. Reflects my own in a lot of ways. The preview is amazing in a thousand different ways. It seems very much like a gift to the deep fans. I see so many layers in it all that only we would understand and fully enjoy... River floating segment - like embracing Saidar, the crying warder holding her ring, the weaves, etc. I hope too they deepen up relationships so that we care even more when they are hurt, to make them more real.
I was 10 when I first picked up the Eye of the World.... it has been my favorite book these last 27 years. I totally understand your feelings! Blood and bloody ashes, I'm so flaming excited!
I read the first book in high school back in 1990 so I've waited 31 years for this moment. I'm still freaking out and so hyped days after the teaser dropped! I think most of us fans shared your reaction and excitement. I know they're having to rearrange some things to make this massive story fit for a viewing audience and I'm fine with that. If anything it's going to breathe new life into this story and bring it to life in a new way beyond the books. Can't wait for November 19th!!
I use to imagine a very regal looking Neve Campbell as Suan but damn Sophie is gonna dominate that character... I love the casting for this show.... Rosamund Pike, Sophie Okonedo, Daniel Henney and Priyanka Bose all look phenomenal in their roles
This was so amazingly wholesome and fun to watch. It reminds me of the first time I saw the trailer for The Lord of the Rings movies (those books were my Wheel of Time back then). I just started The Great Hunt, and while I haven’t read the entire series, I still caught the feels watching the teaser. And now I’m so looking forward to reading the rest of the books.
It's happening. IT'S HAPPENING!! I have been waiting so long for this. I loved every moment of this trailer. I have done nothing but watch the trailer and reactions all day! Egwene rising from the pool was the most amazing shot, and Siuan and the Myrdraal looked incredible!
Regarding the Egwene paint shot, I believe I heard somewhere that Tar Valon is going to have a much larger influence on the traditions of female groups. 1. We have Egwene being thrown into the river but then is later shown to be calmly floating down the river surrendering to it's power and thereby being able to make it through the rapids. What does this remind you of from the books. 2. Egwene emerging from the waters becomes covered by paint or cloth in the colors of the Ajahs. My guess is that whole sequence is Egwene's initiation into being an apprentice Wisdom given that it is so heavily influenced by the Aes Sedai and I wouldn't be surprised if there was a rose incorporated somewhere in this sequence.
Given the prominence of the characters in this trailer, I get the feeling this is the Saidar trailer and there will be a Saidin trailer before release. Kind of a clever way to subtly express the dichotomy that is central to the whole story without giving spoilers to those who haven't read the books.
I love how prominently Egwene features throughout the trailer! Overall the whole production looks awesome and I feel like the show is in good hands. Even the changes from the books have me excited to see what and how they pull it off!

Riddhima, thank you for sharing your reaction, I think the series will be amazing, my thoughts on Siuan's tattoos is that they may have her as from the Seafolk, her character tends to swear using fishing/fish terms, so who knows. Cheers to your channel, and future growth.
Part of the voice over from Moiraine is teaching Egwene about the One Power. She even says "the power inside you". Her floating down the river is her embracing Saidar. That's how it's explained in the books about letting go and letting it flow like a river. I think her coming up out of the pool with all the Ajah colors is definitely foretelling. Awesome imagery!!!
fuck chilling out dude. i'm about to be 37 years old (in a row... see? i have NO FUCKIN CHILL) and i'm over here, not even a fully immersed fan of WOT, and i watched this thing going HOLY SHITTTTTTT. and then the reactions by my favorite youtubers/people in the WORLD reacting to this and i'm like WHAT IS A CHILL? 🤷
Your excitement is so infectious! It changed how I saw the trailer. I've seen it a million times now and I just wasn't feeling it (my expectations are impossibly high) but hearing you geek out about Eggy made me rewatch it through that lens. LOVE that she's sort of the focus of the trailer. So I'm hopeful!
Got that right...what's understood doesn't need to be explained..I read the books as they came out..yea aging myself..but been waiting for a long time for it to be brought to the screen

Great reaction! Much like you Wheel of Time has been a huge part of my life since I was young, 15 years old. But that was in 1991 for me and I only had the first 2 books. So now I'm more than twice your age and I'm just as excited as you are! Am I the only one that thinks the Egwene paint scene is our first glimpse of Tel'aran'rhiod? I haven't seen anyone else mention it but that's my guess.

I am somewhat wary of the Logain plot as it deviates so much from the books. However, I do think that it may be a good choice as it will allow Rand to have a conflict in which he must use the One Power to save his friends from Logain much like he did at the Eye of the World without having the complexity of adding the Blight and the Forsaken at this point in the story. I imagine that his escape will come mid-season and it will be a race to the Eye of the World between Logain and the Forces of the Light. This would allow for many nods to the books while making translatable to the screen.... But dammit it is so different than the books.
I’m 42, barely finished A Memory of Light, last Friday, And I could barely keep from crying. I think merging from the pool has to do with either Egwene’s testing or the world of dreams.
First scene, of the first official footage, is Egwene. Lets jump ahead to how it all ends 14 books later, and think about the fore-shadowing of her role. Nyaneave casts her into the water (most likely a woman's circle right of passage), she floats down to a pool, and comes up through multi-colored paint(most like being raised accepted), causing her shift to take on a multi-colored pattern. That is also heavy fore-shadowing of how her character arc develops. Just, her cut scenes, alone have so much in them. Tossed into the water, afloat with no real footing for a time, she re-gains her footing, and a multi-colored decision is made, literally as the narrator says "that be come legend!".
Paint scene has to be some AS ceremony. Starting at 12 and going clockwise: Gray , Blue, White, Yellow, Red, Green, and Brown. Can't really be the Accepted ceremony unless Rafe has screwed with the timeline rather more than I thought, so it's probably some Novice/Baptism thing.
@@jwsel I suspect they're two different ceremonies. Nyneave dumps her into a river, which is probably women's circlish, whereas the paint scene is in a pool she can stand up in. It's not moving water. Given the Ajah colors I'd guess it's related to the Aes Sedai. But she is wearing the same dress in both scenes. But it is a teaser, and it's teasing us with possibilities.
This is how I will feel when the Malazan teaser trailer comes out one day... one day... Your enthusiasm is infectious though. I was kind of disappointed by the trailer earlier (all the backdrops look... CGI fake) but now I'm like "hey, this could be the most effective way to experience the story". I've been struggling through the books on and off for about a decade, and the biggest problem with them is insane amounts of BLOAT, as well as Robert Jordan's inability to write multidimensional characters... which are things that a well-run show adaptation can fix. So, yeah, starting to get excited.
