Hi I’m new to a wheelchair too. Way to be doing this. I am having a hard time finding tools to life adapting to being in one but this guys exercises seem to be pretty good. Only exercises i keep being taught all look like I’m cleaning or going to become the next karate kid. Lol. Seriously I don’t know if yours all looked like that. This was a nice change. I hope you’re doing well I know the adjustment is hard. All the best to you ❤
Have lost 1 stone of weight in 1 month , Bens workouts are strict , thorough , he hits all areas well done again . I follow each video as they come Brilliant Thanks Chris
I LOVE this one and will be looking for more. I did other workouts before this one. Now on to eating lunch and resting. I did Natasha twice for the bonus exercise. Woowee! Thank you so much for an awesome video!
Loved this workout. Thanks Ben for making working out possible for people in wheelchairs. I only came across you because of a wheelchair class Ive been doing on zoom so now Im able to do something everyday.
Yes totally agree with what most are mentioning , Ben you keep people motivated & present so well . As you many times mention , you do this if you want to .
Thank you so much. I broke my leg (tibia), and I’m facing four or more months to get on my feet again. This helped me work my core (which seems to be turning to Jello).
Nice one Ben , all now starting to really burn on certain ones now use 2kg wrist weights sometimes with rolled up towels . Really beneficial , Love it .
I enjoy your workout as others are designed to use your legs. That I cannot do! So I'm adapting to fit my abilities. Yours's is in line with what I'm capable of. Good workouts!
Wow! Just what I need. Will share this video with my friends and husband. He and I can do it together which will give us something positive to improve both our lives. 😊
Hi Ben . Follow your videos most days. The power of exercise to help the mind is incredible. Have just watched your personal story on your accident and your journey since. Inspirational - a sincere thank you. Michael
Hey Ben, couldn’t find the live Friday, so I did this one. It kicked my butt! Will do this once a week! I’m C7 too, so felt it! Hope alls well Thanks for being here!
Hi Ben , Wow now use & do your workouts daily doing whatever comes the next day can really feel that burn the blood pumping one’s are brilliant , thank you
Another suggestion for your followers. I did the Figure 8s in both directions. I found one direction more challenging than the other. Keep up the good work, Ben.
Just found your workout. Had a double stroke last summer and am becoming much stronger but all they focus on is getting me to use my arm and leg. Being 43 they have not really taken much else in to consideration as I spent most of the first few months in extended care where I was not expected to do much at all. Now I am out and fairly independent and want to look and feel my age but half of my abdomen has very little ability to support me and trying to do certain exercises have been hard because of the lopsided issues. This work out however I was actually able to mostly do and not fall. It got much harder as it went so I see the value in it and I can see how it could even help me with the exercise for my weaker arm. I have no idea what I am doing and everyone thinks if I get a leg brace I’m going to walk lol. At least with something like this I feel like I might learn to no constantly fall to the side. Thank you. I look forward to your other videos.
Thanks! Just what I need to motivate me to exercise despite keeping out of the gym at these times. Easily adaptable to different levels of injury, being a para myself I used a dumbbell instead of a pillow.
This was my first time doing the segment and I loved it. Love the challenge at the end, but I hyphenated my last name so of course it was a longer challenge for me. Felt the burn!!!👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👏👏👏
Thanks Ben for mentioning this workout today. It's a keeper. It was easy for me with a 1 lb weight. I am going to keep doing it but making it harder by lowering back rest so that I can eventually do it sitting without support, increasing weight. Eventually doing it sitting on a cushion if possible.
Followed each 1 carefully. My name is long a treble barrel surname 😂so that got a bit breathless. It’s worked my arms as well as I have an electric wheel chair. I enjoyed it Thank You. See you again tomorrow 👌🏽
as a hemipleghic stroke survivor in recovery thank you for sharing these wonderful relatively easy and convenient for those of us who find getting on and up from the floor difficult and challenging and still be able to build our core strength and improve our physical recovery 🙏🏽😘❤️🩹🙏🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽🙏🏽👍🏽
Hi Ben. I'm Stephanie, and I did your exercises yesterday and they really help. I used my Stitch pillow for the workout. I'm a bit of a Disney fan as you can tell!
T-12 para, been getting back into fitness, looking for a good core workout & this has been PERFECT! Simple but challenging, and easy to modify. I even added a set where the motion is just doing the "Cabbage Patch", but it works. I've found that I can seamlessly move from this into a cardio routine & already be warmed up. Ben you're a BEAST! Thanks so much for all you do.
I've been using this video for a couple of months now. I'm a C6 quad and I found that I can get more range of motion by using a Pilates ring. Just a suggestion for the high level quads.
I tried your workout today and really enjoyed it. I have a very weak core and use a strap. I would like to get to the point where I would not need it. I am a C5-7, 2 1/2 years post injury.
I've been looking for some wheelchair workouts, but all I'd found were seated workouts for the elderly. This is a great workout (I've done two alread, now for the yoga!) and I am feeling the burn, with a pillow! Who'd have thought it?! I'm trying to improve my non-existant core, so this is great. Where did you get your wrist weights that I've seen in a previous video? They look great, I want to get some! Also, I've never known anyone else to not be able to sweat! This is awesome and very interesting!!!
I was looking for an ab/core workout as I have made it my mission to get back in the great shape I was before the virus. Your video was the 2nd one to pop up. As a woman with Cerebral Palsy and a wheelchair user, it is so hard to find workout routines that I can do from my chair. Thank you so much for such a great workout and for helping me get back to my best self!! :) P.S. You're right it looks easier enough but after a few sets with weights, it keeps butt!! I will definitely put your company up on my business's website :)
Great workout Ben. Feedback I would have is - I like the camera one you in a full shot when I can see the movement pattern fully and try keeping time with you. When the camera was from the side with only your upper torso/head I found it more difficult to follow. That's just my preference. Also found my new backrest gives me great stability :-), which somewhat made the core part of the workout not quite as difficult. Next time I'll slide my butt forward more.
Hi Ben - hope you're well. I've been watching your videos for about 6 weeks now. I particularly like this and the hiit no equipment workouts. I'm a full time athlete (javelin/tennis) and was wondering which of your workouts you would suggest for me. Thanks for doing these videos - theyre epic. Lee
Hey Lee I'm glad you like them! My workouts are generally geared towards the average person rather than athletes. However there are some that could benefit yourself. Any resistance band work would be great for joint stability allowing you to use your power more efficiently. And some of my cardio workouts will be good for the tennis!
