video was taken after a long day ripping up the backcountry hence the falling off. also taken in march +4 C! tired is an understatement! check out my other vids of actual RIDING...
pro taper bars with a 6 inch rise. perfect for my height of 6'. another bar that i cosidered was the Fly. they are nice as well. the bar and riser assist big time in the wheeling dept! more weight transfer
if you have seen any of my other vids you know that i could hold my own. this vid was taken after 3-4 hours of backcountry ridin in MARCH. to say i was a bit tired is an understatement....dont hate. watch my other vids b4 shootin your mouth off i mean fingers off.....douche
no i sold it 2 years ago. and yes mrs mitchell is my wife. we have a renegade and the firecat now. the cat cant do anything the rev could do except hold its own on the lakes. ive gone through a couple shocks on the front...snopro doesnt = race chassis. thanks for the compliment!
lol..thanks man. its easy to critique...especially on the net, where everyone is a pro. ive ridden with guys who do the ramp thing and go for the 80 foot gappers...not me. i like drops and hitting natrual kickers (20-40 footers) and i like toi ride ALL day long eat out in the backcountry shit.
hey man i really feel bad for the people that can't read on here. seriously. people think that you need a huge engine to do stands like that but they always forget to think about the torque that race sleds have. i've ridden almost all 440 race sleds from every company up until about 2005 and i can vouche for this guy, it is stock. they all have amazing kick. it's just the way they are, hence the "RACE" title when you buy them. anyways, nice sled. i really enjoyed your quad video too, funny!
unlike alot of other vids i dont cut out the funshit. check out my other vids before trash talking...this is a WHEELIE VID of me screwing around....oh and ya...for SURE your 93 Phazer can do that......im with 00gtp95xlt
you have to be a registered sno-x racer to buy new. round $10g's new. i have never bought one new. all my 440's were one year or less old. i bought my 05 in 06 for 6500 trail converted with not a scratch on it. so they are actually really cheap. they require a bit more maintenance and you have to premix although you can put on an oil injection. they are tougher, lighter, more powerful, and dirt cheap to insure. they gobble the fuel but when you have a constant smile on your face........
im not dissin just saying to all you guys who are like this is amazing i buying one, the gas is $10/gallon, and its hard to find... just throwing that out there... but it is a sick vid!!
yes it is trail converted. low domes pump gas and large tank. top speed is not impressive but it gets there quick! that sled was nearly unbeatable in 400 feet. no joke. but last across the lake EVERY time. top speed on that sled was 80-86mph conditions varied
cross water all the time. lived on a lake. the 440's in my opinion are the best on water. just take yur seat off. i could start the rev in a foot of water on shore and crack it, wheelie nearly over and then plane out. insane. top speed on ice 84mph. not a lake runner thats for sure. get the whole shot and lead most races to 500ft then i get stomped on. hits a wall at about 80mph.
in all reality its actually detuned. i ran low comp domes since i had it. sold the high comp domes the day i got it home. so being that it is running on pump gas with low domes its actually a bit SLOWER than stock. and the 580 your ride has 80+ pounds and is extremely nose heavy. of course it would never do those wheelies. but you would know that if you knew anything about sno x sleds.
first thing i did was a 6 inch riser with a 2 inch rise in my renthal bars. (motox) that is huge in the weight transfere department. and much easier to throw around in the backcountry and in the air. awesome investment
check out my other vids..winter 2006 and riding in togwotee. then ask me if i have any "balls". lets see your vids of some drops and log ride outs. put up or shut up.
contemplated the idea many times with all my 440's but in reality the little crank on the 440 cant be beat for its rev capability hence the quick rev. not saying it wouldnt do what the 440 can, better top end for sure. but if anything i would do the 800 swap. pricey but i think a better choice. good luck with your adventure...and post up some vids when you get it done!
tundrat3, I think u are wrong, I had a summit 550 last year and it was actualy pretty fine, a good mix with power/weight but now when the new xp is here it's not so fancy anymore but anyway, u souldn't say that the summit 550 is a bad sled becuse it's not. It's a good "learning sled" but now I have a summit 800 xrs, woha! What a sled!!!
probably pick up a used 06-07 rev 440 for $6-5000 cdn. the reason it is so quick off the line is due to the fact of the small light crank and other guts. it can rev up quicker and rev higher. put the right gear ratio and clutching and the thing is hairy 0-60mph. but as soon as you hit 80-85 mph you hit a wall, hard. you'll be last on the lakes first in the trails! no i do not race, back country for me is where its at!
i'll answer some questions that everyone is asking. the sled is BONE stock EXCEPT for the jaws can. it has the LOW COMPRESSION domes on it. it runs on pump gas. the rear suspension has the blocks in it. the limiter straps are not loosened. stock suspension set up. the motor is a stock 440cc. i should also mention that snow conditions play a HUGE role in how the sled performs ie: a bit of crust on the surface with soft deep powder underneath makes for perfect wheelie conditions.
sled sounds sick for a ski-doo ;) awsome wheelies, matter-a-fact those rev chassis seem to wheelie well for some reasen, Im assuming is how the rear suspension transfers the weight. been tinkering with some of my 700's trying to get them to stand up like the rev's and the IQ's, not having much luck... can get it up, but dosnt seem to stay on end for more then 30-40 feet.. anyways, great video and watch out for all the haters, most of them dont know squat about sleds.
blue lights? its a headlight cover. studs..yes...also a can. low comp domes as well. studs and headlight covers dont really change it from stock. motor is actually detuned from stock being that i put in low comp domes and run it on 91 octane...
dude, that was after riping up the backcountry all day long...3-4 hours of jumping/ carving will tire you out. i could barely hang on any longer. i put on 3-4000...yes thousand miles a year...i can ride, not saying im great but i hold my own.
i use isovibe's. best investment ever. 8 inches in total rise. thanks for the back up...lol. idiots i say, who would post something if they didnt know what they were talking about? they all think its a 440 fan or something....lmao
I ride with guys with 440/800's and guys with summits.... 85% of the time the summit guys want a 440 chassis sled.... there way more fun and with the 1.75 track the 440's go good in the snow
Its an mxzx440 rev... it most surely did come stock running 110. race sleds that run 92 are trail converted, hasn't been a factory race sled thats come stock runnin on 92 in years lol
disnt have a rev limiter, the engine winds out untell the clutchs shift into what people call "over drive" the peak rev of a sled engine is based on how its clutchs are set up.
if you read back threw the comments it will specify that it has a lot to do with the snow conditions...its something like 4 feet of powder with some thick rust onto with a little powder so when the track starts to spin fast i digs down and the skid drops like a rock threw the soft powder
buddie i kno my shit man u got me there iv owned them since 02 zx chassis and my buddies a machanic i didn't get it but its that crusty snow and ya im i live in ontario to i dont by aftermarket cans they sound good but thats it we were sponsered by mbrp and we lost power i make custom cans for my sleds it murderd my buddies 06 hes is done up by aj lester it was the last sled he raced but ya u got me man i just jumped to it bc it sounded like my buddies 800 mod
Yeah the Trail isn Loud Enough...but MBRP do not have RACE Can for REVs...only for the Older Sleds i think...the MBRP Standart Can Is the Loudest from MBRP for a REV thats what i have...i believe correct me if Wrong !
the jaws systems sound insane, i know a guy with a can on a 700 mxz and my other buddy has a pipe and can on a 04 800 and they sound amazing. also helps out you sound fx when your in an inclosed area ;)
You dont need to send your motor out.Just google jaws performance and it will pop up.They make cans for all types of sleds just give them your model and they will send you one out. That sled is sick.I have the same one and it will definately do that stock.there racing sleds.not trail sleds.stock sled like that would chew a 600 modded right out.
yes it is. im not sure as to why people do not believe this. either you havent ridden or seen one in action or you know nothing of sno-X sleds. those who have em know.
like i said i was beat from riding all day....man i had the shakes good too. ne how, i never posted up a video about how great a rider i was (not that arrogant or cocky) but merely a little vid of what the little 440's could do....peace out
Any what appears to be 96 studs down the center. I'm sure in order for you to do this you also have the limiter strap set back and suspension set soft.
