As much as I love Nixie I also love seeing Fall tackle other characters. She's so versatile!

I don't even have my glasses on yet, but I can still see that she played the role well and looked good doing it.

It's just Nixie if she didn't have the power of friendship...and Fireball or unwavering positivity.

No doubt Evandra and Antrius could suggest some additional ways of nailing Drizzt.

Maybe not at first, but he's a legend these days, the man has defeated how many potentially world ending threats? And is actual friends with how many very powerful Nobles? He's literally what adventurers set out to be, "nobody" who then ends up famous and on the lips of every playwright and bard, potentially wealthy, and connected to the most powerful people in the world.

Same here, thought it was that new Rogue Cat character but checked out videos of her but decided nope, then checked out the Cleric character, but nope not her either. They did a really good job of hiding the Cleft chin she has with that makeup and her voice is so different than Nixies.

Drizzt is the bane of DnD and rangers especially.

@@rastraman1 Considering Salvatore pulled Drizzt out of his ass as a sidekick during a conversation with one of his editors, Drizzt has had a damn good run. Drizzt's conception was one of the best stories Salvatore told when I met him at a signing. Wulfgar was supposed to be the MC of 'The Crystal Shard', but he didn't take off like Drizzt did. I was already ranger main in AD&D when the first book came out. Forgotten Realms was my preferred play setting (Greyhawk and Dragonlance just couldn't seem to compare). In my eyes, for the first time, a ranger was the main character of the story - because Wulfgar was just so god-damn bland that he pretty much HAD to be backseat to Drizzt. Back then, finding good ranger representation in AD&D stories was like finding a needle in a dozen haystacks. It seemed like everyone and their brother wanted barbarians, wizards, paladins, and bards as their MCs then. Even the Harpers series failed me in that respect. Going beyond that, if it hadn't been for Salvatore's work concerning Drizzt, the Underdark wouldn't be NEARLY as fleshed out as it is now. Drizzt's popularity made people want to explore the potential of the Underdark as a setting. Lolth was kind of a faceless figure - all we really knew before was that she was a demonic drow female with a spider fetish. Going further still, the other cultures of dark elves wouldn't have been fleshed out, such as Eilistrae'e and her priesthood. I can't recall his name off the top of my head, but there was a drow god for the drow males who hated being under the heels of their matrons, sisters, and wives. Additional work went into the setting for the duergar and svirfneblin. No longer were they just kind of faceless potential hazards in the Underdark. They suddenly had established and named cities with pantheons of gods, too. Dislike him all you want, but Drizzt's creation and his subsequent popularity made WOTC really dig into the lore of the Underdark.

It certainly was. But I can't help but hate there intonation of her name. It's always been GWEN-iv-ar to me. Consistent with how most people say wyvern. But you don't have to make it a long I sound to make it special.

I mean, we already know thanks to that DnD oneshot BG3 cast did. Shadowheart is thirsty for Drizzt even if she didn't recognize who he is, just saw a very pretty drow, Astarion shrieks and immediately goes "OMG, it's Drizzt Do'Urden, I'm a big fan", Karlach admires him as a big noble hero, and Gale, surprisingly, or maybe not, isn't impressed at all. Hasn't even recognized him.
