My mom cleaned out her purse once and found large rocks, amongst many toys, in it. My brother had made it a habit that her purse was his place for anything he want to take home or keep. She had no idea.
Great idea! I imagine a notecard ring works better than a keychain ring? I like using a card-size zip change purse for my cards, but this sounds like a fun! I hope a paper hole-puncher will do
My bag is filled with little zipper pouches. Ones for chargers, one for toiletry/meds things, writing supplies, etc. Nothing is floating. I just have to pull out the right pouch to get something, or to replace something. Also, if I know I will run errands that won't demand something, I can take out the pouch.
Zip pouches in my purse keep me organized ! One for cosmetics and meds One for pens and note pads One for money and gift cards One for emergency stuff like bandaids and kleenex and sanitizing gel pads cause I am a walking disaster hahaha The ipsy glam bags can be used as purse zip pouches 🐱
Nice job! The organized soprano has a purse organizing section in her utility closet. Where you can put supplies you like to have for your purse but not all the time. I just cleaned out my wallet OMG.

I use make up pouches to organise my handbag. Makes it easier to find stuff. I'm sure you will feel better not having to carry all that stuff around with you. Take care x
I hope the ziplock would work for you. When I tried to divide into so many pouches, I had hard time remembering the categories and where to find an item, or where to put back. Eventually I forget what was in some of the pouches, and ended up carrying things I didn’t need. Now I just stick to a wallet and 1 pouch for small items, in the purse. And that’s been working for me.
just make sure you dont throw the cards away because ive had the app crash before and I lost everything. keep the cards somewhere around the house just in case
Maybe you should put an emty one in there aswell for things like receipts that you pick up along the way? You should not put that with your worktag and pens because it will get all mixed up 😊 You can put the extra emty ziplockbag inside of the miscellaneous one until you get use for it! 😊
Idea: put work badge with work keys. Isn't it incredible how much stuff we can tote around! A regular purse declutter as a new habit will keep your purse so nice and so clean.
I have make-up bags in my purse that are medicine, makeup, female hygiene, first aid, pens w small notes, wallet and keys have there own pocket in my bag. So it keeps it clean
I started it when my kids were lil and I need to able to grab something fast easy out my diaper bag. I always had a female hygiene bag from when I start in high school I found it less embarrassing when I have to go to the bathroom. I had three kids three and under and I wanted one bag and not to have to carry a purse as well. So I just compartmentalized thing for everyone and thing. And never stopped. I still carry a big bag when I got out with family. And my wallet and hand sanitizer keys go in a crossbody bag that fit in my big bag with all my zipper bags. Because moms purse are where everyone stuff goes lol. So I still feel like I have a diaper bag lol
I have never seen such a colorful collection of purse things! You are so fun! And you're the only other person I know who carries good luck stones in her purse! I use 1 little bag inside my purse, too (mine says "green is groovy") I keep all toiletries in that one bag together which includes makeup, a mirror, medicine, hair ties, femme supplies, cough drops, hand sanitizer, etc. I keep my wallet and checkbook in a zippered pocket together. I keep coupons in my wallet along with cash and cards.
Friday is purse and car day in Flylady land. I also once used it for gym bags , lunch bags, and back packs for the children . I have to empty my crossbody every night or it would be the world’s smallest dumpster! We happily worked on the mailbox garden and is nearly complete. We will set out the annuals tomorrow. We have a sad little corner in our yard that Alan will load with sunflowers and zinnias seeds tomorrow. Then we will start on critical concrete and drive repair before the winter sets in. I like the zip lock pouches. I have never seen them. I do use the plain ones though. Great organization!

I forgot to say that work badge is for the other office! I only go to the other office once every 2 weeks! But it does make more sense to keep in next to the keys!! Lol I’ll put it there! And I couldn’t decide which mirror to keep bc I love them both 🤣 That’s what a hoarder does, cannot make up her mind and keeps both!! lol
That's nothing compared to my satchel, lol! Every toiletry you can imagine is in my purse, makeup, work stuff, snacks, planner, pens, air freshener, poopouri, lint rollers, a container full of perfume samples, tissues, phone, hand sanitizer, brush, comb, hairspray, etc.. it's ALL in my purse!
I do a weekly dump of my purse to keep it clean A game changer is Office Depot Brand Poly Envelope, 2" Expansion, Check Size. I stuff all my receipts in there and then grab the envelope weekly and check my statements . It’s also good as it has an outside pocket so I put my receipts in there for items I need to return . I have had mine for over 10 years
Omgosh! Those semi transparent zip pouches are perfect for a purse because you can see what's in them You really Do Got This!!!! I know I know bad grammar police are going to come after me yet you do know how to organize and you did prepare yourself for this great challenge you started for yourself. 🦄🦄🦄🦄

Happy Mothers Day and what a great video. Consider putting an empty pouch for receipts and miscellaneous toys and all the extras you know are only temporarily in your purse then you can do a quick declutter on that pouch on a daily or weekly basis.
You might have let the pouches sit, but you remembered them and could find them easily so that’s great progress. For the cards, if they let you give a phone number instead of swiping the card you can throw the cards away or store them in a drawer. There are also apps that will let you scan in your reward cards and they can scan your phone. I do this with Michael’s and Joann Fabrics coupon apps and it scans easily.
I found myself carrying way too much stuff and I hated lugging it around. I’ve given up using a purse and use a fanny pack. Contains a mini wallet for my ID/bank cards, cash/coins, chapstick, hand sanitizer, mini packable reusable bag(for shopping), with a zipper pocket if I need to add feminine products. Keeps my arms/shoulders free. Love it.
There is a "key ring" app for your phone. You can actually add all those loyalty cards on it. Then toss the cards. Greatest thing I ever found ACCOUNTABILITY time my friend. 1st....great job on the purse 2nd....you went and grabbed your organizers from the laundry room and the rack you took it from it quite cluttered again. KEY to decluttering is keeping up what you have already done. Take 10 min and put crafts in the bin, remove trash etc. YOU GOT THIS So excited for you
I love your purse. If it was crossbody I'd be seriously lusting after it. I keep my purse small, one because I have a tendency to Mary Poppins my purses, but second because I have shoulder problems and can't have too much weight on my arms or shoulder. Technically they said I need to go to a rolling bag, but no, I'm not rural but I'm really close to it. Who has a rolling bag out in the boondocks.
And if anyone doesn't understand the Mary Poppins part, I'm known for having everything in my tiny purse. Diaper and wipes? Yes. Spare underwear and leggings for potty training child? Yes. Candy to get the small kids through the excessively long band concerts? Yes. Sticky notes to put on a babies toe to distract them from their tears? Yes. An entire pharamacy? Yes. And so it goes. My kids once joked I was going to pull a lamp out one day, so I reached for my purse and pulled out 2 flashlights. Yeah I'm like packing magic for a purse barely bigger than a paperback book.
December 2023: I've never, ever used a purse organizer. I just carry a small purse with zippered compartments. When we travel (even on a 2 week cruise), I carry a small tote and an overnight bag. Tina, Al's wife
The small bags are how the Japanese organize their purses and book bags. Everything is a bag in a bag. But the main thing is that if it gets pulled out, you have put it back in the bag. Great job!!!
I use to carry a big wallet. Was heavy and big. Now I use I small card case. Perfect I don't need to carry so many cc. It helps me spend less because I only use my debit card.

Great job. I organize in bags too but when I decluttered all my handbags/bags (they were out of control) I used stuff I already had. It does work to keep your handbag in order. :) Flylady says you should pick a day every week and go through your purse and purge receipts , trash and stuff that doesn't belong. I have not been successful doing this but I do keep my handbag cleaner than I used to :)

Personally, I just KNOW I would forget which is which or miss putting things where they belong in a hurry… If it happens to you, maybe try color-coding the top zips or labeling the pouches in small letters where you can read it from above? So interesting that Ziplock has designed these, my mom is famous for carrying a few ziplock sandwich baggies for grandkid rocks, leftover treats, anything at all. I try to do it too. When my children were small I used to think a portable dustbin would have been a good choice for a handbag! Nowadays I can carry just what I need to be comfortable without aching from the weight. It's not Mothers Day in Britain, but have a nice day with the family and keep safe.
For the cards, you can add the numbers, emails and other information as a contact in your phone (or just take a photo) and then get rid of the cards. And then in future, you can ask to just take a photo instead of taking the card itself and add it as a contact later in you want
My purse was buckling under the weight of all my store cards and gift cards coupons anything like that as I love a bargain! I downloaded an app called Stocard and its a GAME CHANGER lol just take a photo of the front and back of the card and name it in the app then you can scan them or show them in store with no problems. I was hesitant at first as was worried they wouldn’t accept the digital version in any stores not officially linked with the app but I’ve used it for over a year now and even independent and charity shops near me have had no problem scanning it for their loyalty cards so I’d definitely give it a go it’s free 🥳 xxx

straight after this video I went to Walmart's website and ordered a pack of each kind of those ziploc bags..I have 20 bags coming! lols I don't even hoarde but I had to buy them.

I divide the contents of my purse into three ipsy bags. They're similar sizes, but different textures so I can dig for what I need quickly. Bag 1 has coupons, receipts, sticky notes and a pen. Bag 2 has personal care: lipgloss and the like. Bag 3 has my keys. I do pet sitting so I have 4 household keys I am responsible for in addition to constantly being like "where's my car key?!" Now that the plastic that kept it on the keyring has broken off and it's all by itself.
For all your rewards cards all you have to do is give the cashier your telephone number, you're already in the computer. No need to carry all the cards anymore! Just a thought. ❤

As a fellow hoarder myself, I don't feel like you had too mush of things inside your purse))) All my colleagues have a saying "If you don't have something, ask [me]! In her bag she has all the stuff!" And yeah))) Almost always I have what they are need!
I swear my purse is pathetic. It's a CK purse and I literally have my wallet and sunglasses in it and the rest is diapers, wipes and a couple of outfits and some baby snacks. lol My 21 month old has a diaper bag but I don't feel like packing 2 bags so my purse doubles as a diaper bag lol
It is so intimate, to talk about getting rid of books, like giving someone advice for getting rid of the underwear but less awkward :) Try reading a few different blog articles and videos and find what's best for you. I have same journey in front of me, and I will start with the book that were gifted to me, but mean nothing to me just like any other gift that someone would give you like, a billionth coffee mug or scarf or purse :D
