If Dr. Jayshree,,Nilesh Oak, Rupal,Aditya Satsangi and other Indic scholars having good grasp of Sanskrit, Indian Panchanga system, read our ithihasas in original Sanskrit, come together to put all astronomical info provided in Ramayana and Mahabharata together we could decide timelines ,reestablish Bharatiya time calendar initiall on Oan India level and then world wide!!!
Why no one is talking about carbon dating of the fort and palaces of Dwaraka which is presently residing on the sea bed of the coast of Gujarat to arrive at the year of Mahabharata or fir that matter Idol of Guruvayur status Vishnu which is supposed to have been worshipped by Sri Krishna's father Vasudeva..
@@kpmohan1960 Because it is very big, and the entirety of Dwarka would not have submerged all at the same time, so the outer parts of the underwater city will be older than the the parts closer to the land. Therefore carbon dating of the city will give different results depending on how far out to sea you go.

Wonderful session and I am mesmerized with the way Dr. Jayashree explained in her explanation with the facts about the period of Mahabharata and the starting period of Kali Yuga. Great session. Everyone should be interested in knowing the concepts of calculation of time. I have heard Dr. Saranathan, DK Hari, Hema Hari, Dr Nilesh Oak, Dr Raj Vedam, Dr Nagaswamy, Dr Satsangi and Dr Narahari Achar speak about Indic dating issues at different points in time. For anyone reading this, my net takeaway has less to do with Itihasa itself, but more to do with lacunae in contemporary discussions, 1. we need contemporary climate change and advanced Physics discussions to be better informed of Indic research. 2. Excellent, informative presentation. Many dates have been proposed by many experts. Though the actual date is questionable, all of these research clearly and scientifically show that Mahabharata (and Ramayana) is our Itihasa (history) and not a Myth, as many people even now refer to these events as Mythologies. As more and more people get informed of these facts, hopefully we as a country begin to accept both Ramayana and Mahabharata as Itihasa - our history. Thanks Pguru for bringing this out.
There is no 0 Year in Gregorian Calender. It's 1 BC and 1 AD. After hearing all the discussions of many scholars, I am inclined towards Nilesh Oak's analysis. He did a multidisciplinary date analysis and his analysis ar more scientificthan anyone. There is not much of evidence presented by madam or might be host didn't ask relevant questions.
Very impressive, and makes sense. One issue. Gregorian years (solar) don’t align with Panchanga (lunar). So 5123 in years since Kaliyuga does not equal exactly same number BCE
One of the challenges I find with sole reliance on astronomical dating is the wide variance brought about by the interpreter. Mrs. Jayasree talks about the near-earth Comet explosions causing climatic changes. We should pursue this research further

I have been intrigued by Mahabharatha. Such an inspirational epic. I would like to see archaelogical evidence to support the dating presented by the Mrs. Jayasree.
Nolesh Oaks timings are different. 5565 he has Astro Archeological and geographical evidence. I feel we are losing out on axis of earth and seasons of those timings.
Our PUROHIT is very knowledgeable -- BUT can not speak in English -- That is the problem. Our PUROHIT is authority on astrology and all HAVAN kriyas . He can explain in detail in our native Language KANNADA very well and very authentic also.

The date of Mahabharata is older than calculated here. The Saraswati river dried up about 7000 years ago. The Saraswati did not dry up in a day it must have been at least 100 years if not 500 years at least. So if Saraswati was flowing and flooding at times the date for Mahabharata is more than 5,000 years BC Atleast but most likely at least 5,500 BC. Same way Ramayana must have happened around 16,000 BC, the time when Sea levels were down and Army was able to cross to Sri Lanka without Boats etc..

The story of Lord Krishna on Amavasya is incorrect & does not exist. What does Jayasree has got to say on Sri Yukteswar Giri jis book - "The Holy Science" where he mentions the Yuga cycles. Sri Yukteswar ji is an yogi of highest order with divine insight & book is written on instructions of Sri Babaji & the book also has blessings of Sri Babaji. How can that be wrong ?
I have a question. Mahabharatha war was started on Amvaya and lasted 18 days. How Duryodhana died on Amavsya ( as narrated by Dr. Jayasree in this episode). Within 18 days another Amavasya?
I don’t know astrology. I have heard Nilesh Oak who has done great research on this subjects . According to Oak Veda’s date 21 thousand years ago. Ramayana happened 14 thousand years ago and Mahabharata 7000 years ago . Please reconcile. Thanks
Mam I have read even Mahaperiyava had said one must use thiruganitham instead of vaak for want of relevant accuracy.. Wont this apply for dating the Mahabharatha as well?

Assuming that there is a period T for all bodies in a given space (period is the time taken for a revolution, etc), we must be careful about specifying dates for events such as ramayana or mahabharata. Let's say that mahabharata occured during a particular palanetry combination x,y,z....for example, the 5000 plus earth years (I year is 365 days assume), which is given in this video, is perhaps the most recent such occurence of a combination favoring a war like scenario, the 5000 plus years from today we may say that Mahabharata happened. But assuming one predicts this time astrologically, you may see the war like scenarios emerge every "n" years because all planets have a periodic motion or cyclic. So 5000 times n, n could be 10, 100 or 1000 or.... perhaps there is multiple of this, which is missed out in all our calculations and is perhaps impossible to find. Each yuga, for example, ramayana happened during treta yuga. In places, this same is referred to as a time when people were over 15 feet tall, have two rows of teeth, etc etc. Also in valmiki ramayana in sundara kanda, specific mention have been given to 4 tusked elephants as in VAARANISCHA CHATUR DANTHAI.... and flying mountains, PARVATHA PAKSHINO BAHAVATH....etc. now the four tusked elephant became extinct about 3 million years ago (earth years as we calculate today) as per our understanding of science of "evolution". Taking this with requisite pinches of salt, once may see that during ramayana period, these animals used to roam freely and were domesticated as.per Valmiki ramayana. One could counter argue that valmiki ramayana is just poetical in nature and we should not take the meaning in a literal sense. If we can believe in so called modern science, we may very well take valmikis version in as is condition. Now the story of mahabharata is also the same. When did this happen, the exact date according to present earth years, it is very difficult to arrive at. Though several authors have attempted this, their evaluation of such puranic events could be based on the last such occurance of a specific planetary combination favourable for war or war type situation. And more over every yuga ended with a pralaya, which meant almost all the archeological evidences have been washed out. Is it so? Even now for the fear of ones own career, some scientists do not report spotting skeletal remains that defy the Darwins theory of evolution- let's us assume there 90% hoax or morphed images vs 10 % real findings. Even 10 percent is significant. 5100 plus years for Mahabharatha to have happened is unrealistic because of 1. Physical descriptions of people during dwapara yuga, people were taller above 10 feet (2. levitation techniques and technologies used at that time, (3. Even Egyptian and Chinese civilizations existed and flourished during those times and I have not seen any references to those. Except in devi bhagavatham, which says about a saraswathi temple in china- THATA NEELA SARASWATHYA STHAANAM CHEENESHU VISHRUTHAM. clearly says China. (4. The same puranic references quote (which is used in this video) 432000 total years for kali of which only 5000 years have elapsed according to the above?. I firmly feel that the puranic dates must have been altered to discredit Indian history because once timelines are derailed, it is easier to treat everything as a myth. And that's what might have happened. And that's the reason why western theories state Indian history as "mythology". It is no myth but a reality. So assuming the 5000 plus BC is true for starting of kali, how many years are we crediting for dwapara yuga? 864000 !!! Is the right number based on some texts. !Then why archeological finds do not match? As 5000 years is not a relatively large number for evidences to just disappear (recall Incas, pyramids etc), especially when india were predominantly ruled by hindu kings till 700 ad. The only argument in favour to the author of this video is, mahabharatha happened towards the very last part of 864000 years, which again may be contradictory with respect to clear evidences (palaces, skeletal remains, etc etc). If we assume this video is correct then it places ramayana 864000 years before Mahabharatha war as ramayana happened in Threta yuga. Any questions? So where is this heading? Finally, I feel that Mahabharatha has happened indeed the only question is are we missing any zeros to the right. My humble submission.....
