When Dog Paws Smell Like Corn Chips 

1/2 cup green tea 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar 20 drops of lavender essential oil

Yes! Corn chip feet from biting. Hers is from stress. Can’t get her to stay still long enough to soak them, so I put the solution in 2 old frozen dinner trays on a towel. They are divided in two & perfect width for my wee one. That way she can stay standing for the few minutes & not worry about spills either! Thanks Dr. Jones!

Yes, I've heard it's yeast. I mix vinegar and food grade hydrogen peroxide for him. Wash, rinse. I put coconut oil on his paws too.

Apparently I'm 2yrs behind here. I hope you see this. You can also use Providone - Iodine Solution, 10% It's my go to for all yeast infections/issues. I take 2 cups water and put the Providone Iodine in it should look like Tea then I soak the foot/feet for 1 minute then dry the foot/feet. Do this 2 to 3 times a day. I stop when there is no longer any signs of the Yeast. I hope you do a video on this wonderful Solution..🥰🐾

My Belle has this condition to the extreme. I've been trying to find a cure for this for several years and will spare you the details of what didn't work. (everything) The vet said she had allergies and wanted to put her on medication for the rest of her life. Hair falling out on her butt, chewing, to the point of hot spots. Very pink to red inflamed skin all over, with the corn chip smell from her paws to her tail. Greasy yet flaky skin on her butt. I tried the formula in the video to no avail. I didn't really have the time to soak her feet twice a day and she doesn't like you touching her feet anyway , but I believe that's where it was starting and over running her entire body. It seemed to help just a little. I decided to add some more ingredients to this formula. This is what I added to the recipe. 22 drops of tea tree oil along with 22 drops of oregano oil. I spray her feet, butt and under her belly with a cheap spray bottle a couple of times a week. BAM worked like a charm. Thanks DOC for helping us out with the formula and for what you do. I just thought this might help someone else with the same problem.

I tried everything that the Vet told me to use, and then ideas I got here on You tube. The only thing that worked 100% without it coming back was CVS Antiseptic Skin Cleanser (chlorhexidine gluconate 4% lotion) this is a generic brand because the regular one is more expensive, My dog had yeast on her groin and stomach area, also around the folds on her face. I diluted this with a little water and washed the area for a few days in the morning. I also put her paws in the solution, Within a week it was totally gone and has not come back. That was my problem before, it always came back, things would work if I did them everyday, or for awhile. It has never come back, but I still use a more diluted form to wash her twice a month, just because it is so good. I hope this helps.

My westie has some issues, I use apple cider vinegar in a spray.

Put each paw in Hibby Scrub. 1 part Hibby scrub to 5 parts water solves it fast. Hibby scrub kills all bacteria . Its what I use and recommended by my Vet for sore paws and any broken claws. Safe for open wounds to .Thanks Dr Jones : )

Dr.Jones, can you do a video or maybe even a PDF. With homemade dog food ideas? I realized my dog has quite a sensitive stomach and he does good on chicken and rice. After reading into a couple articles found out couple food brands are not exactly filled with nutrition. Could you maybe kind of break down a couple meal ideas, give a break down of what a meal should consist of for a dog? Mine is golden retriever 2 years old. Lol...every dog I've had has what I call popcorn feet. Lol...but ya...had 1 dog that was pretty bad. Long haired dog. You wouldn't believe how long the hair between his toes were. He was a Siberian Husky, chow, golden retriever mix..beautiful dig. Black and silver. Black on top and silver on his bottom side. Anyways the silver hair between his toes would turn a beautiful rose color. As he aged his teeth turned the same color. He ended up with fungal spots here and there. So frito/popcorn feet makes sense! Thank you for your videos..you are appreciated ♡

You are so entertaining along with great knowledge. Pipster lets you do anyting. That is amazing. My two mini dachshunds let me do a lot of things but when it comes to their feet they are not so good. They will even brush their own teeth! I gave them the toothbrush with supervision of course and let them chew on it a couple of minutes and all is fresh and clean. They do a better job than they let me do. Thanks for the tip

Cute Lab. I used to have a Labrador. They are such happy dogs. I wish I had know this when I had him for his frito feet lol but his was from happily digging holes when he was outside lol.

Hi! I went through you Chanel and you already helped me so much! I have a lot of problems with my Shi-tzu Lucy. She has as dust and dust mites allergy and it’s bad. She’s now 8 years old and we still can’t find the perfect solution. Nothing seems to really help besides bathing her often with special shampoo and taking apoquel everyday and flax oil. She still scratches herself so much until she gets bad hot spots. And gets yeast infections so often. We went to so many vets and spend so much money and there’s still nothing that helps her 100%. Do you have any tips? I would really appreciate it. I don’t want to use medication on her...Thank you! 🙏

When i saw this i about rolled out.! I am always hanging out with ol'e Frito feet!! But for years i thougt i was just a little to close to my dog!! But yeah you cant smell it unless he has his big ole mit right over your face. I heard that as long as he isnt licking on them all the time, and like you said you can only smell it if you stuff yer nose right into the bottom if his foot.Then nothing to worry about.

This video was great! I hate the smell, especially since it gets into everything. I have to wash her bed so often, I even had to throw away a rug she liked to lay on because the smell was unbearable.
